Providing women with the skills and training to defend them and their families should a threat arise. We offer a fun-​filled self-​defense curriculum that instruct females ages 11 and up.

In addition, we sell self-​defense products geared towards women (i.e. pink cellphone stun gun, lipstick pepper spray, etc.).

History

Established in 2009.

It is our mission to empower women of all ages with the training and tools imperative to their personal safety and the safety of their families. Through fun, instinctive learning; women gain the knowledge to protect and arm themselves while gaining confidence not to be the victims.

I haven’t even had a chance to take a class yet. I’m sure the classes are great but since the communication is limited to email only and whomever is responsible to follow up, I’ve had a bad experience thus far. It took about 3 weeks to finally get a response in regards to scheduling a class. This was after 2 phone calls and then I complained in the email — which I don’t usually complain about much. Then when I got a confirmation about the class, the address of the location to meet was on another side of town. Since I’d be coming from work I wouldn’t make it on time, not to mention the «oh by the way, you have to pay for parking.» I emailed back asking if I can change my class and not be penalized, that was 2 weeks ago… still no response. The business has a chance to redeem themselves, let’s see if they do. Businesses should thrive off of customer care and support, not seeing it here.

My colleagues and I attended the Fierce and Fabulous class. The class is only an hour but it is jam packed with helpful tips and easy to remember techniques. We had a blast and received step by step instruction from Cole. Every woman should attend a class. I definitely look forward to telling every lady I know about it. They also have great products on their website.

The way to reserve is a pain, but the class will show you how to kick some arse.
Now, I was getting a little salty about having to go back and forth via email about confirming my spots for the class. They need to answer a phone or call back. Also, the emails could be way more professional. Like a salutation, a friendly greeting something! That is why I took off one star.
Everything else? Oh my. I had such a great time. Cole is one of the owners, and he is so funny. I mean this is a serious topic, but he was informative and took the time to know your name and demonstrate moves but he packaged all of that in humor. I would definitely take another class with him.
Great investment for you to become a savvy safe lady and have fun too!

I purchased a groupon for the «Kicks and Cocktails» party with Divas in Defense, and used it last month when visiting my sister in Atlanta.
Scheduling the appointment was a tad difficult. I preferred to speak with a representative rather than filling out an online form. So I left a few voicemails and called a dozen more times before I was actually able to talk to someone. They apologized for the inconvenience and it was smooth sailing from then on.
We were lucky enough to have the president and CEO, Cole Parker, as our instructor. He came to the house, and he was patient, knowledgeable, and funny. Our session went for about about three hours, with a short break and an opportunity for him to sale tasers and pepper spray.
Even though it’s called «Kicks and Cocktails,» we didn’t have cocktails. The host — that being me– was to provide such. But self-​defense classes are a workout, so I didn’t think it was a good combo.
No cocktails. Just a lot of kicking and defending. (I could break your wrist now!) He threw in a free pepper spray and some extra tips/tactics…beyond beginner’s; I could tell. I really felt like I learned a lot of defensive moves. Hope I never need to use them though.

I took the basic self defense class and even though I already knew most of the things that were taught, I found the class to be fun and it was definitely a good refresher course. My friend and I bought the Groupon and drove to Atlanta from Chattanooga on a Saturday morning to take the class. I definitely recommend Cole Parker and Divas in Defense for anyone who is looking to have a fun time with your girls while talking about some serious issues. I was also impressed to hear about their series for teenage girls. I definitely support what they are doing at Divas in Defense!

I took this class in a small home setting with a group of moms. It was a good event. The best part is that it makes reminding yourself of saftey tactics fun. I do recommend Cole Parker and Divas in Defense, he was a great instructor and I did learn techniques.
