Chateau Saigon

This place has vegetarian phở; meaning they actually use vegetarian broth. Add some sriracha sauce and you’ve got a great phở dish. Nice atmosphere and seating; unlike a lot of other restaurants in the area. Definitely one of my favorite places to go.

Showed up tonight at 7 pm with a party of 8, family from out of town, excited about sharing my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant. The place was half full and the hostess said she couldn’t seat us because the servers had to «catch up». She wouldn’t disclose the amount of time we would need to wait so we left! Disappointing.

Tried the salt and pepper tofu and the green beans and both were delicious! Neither dish had a sauce so I don’t know as I would order them together again, but salt and pepper tofu is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes and Château Saigon’s version definitely didn’t disappoint. There were plenty of vegetarian/​vegan dishes and the vegetable section of the menu was pretty straightforward. They even have a soup offering that you can sub veggie broth in for chicken! Service was very friendly and it seemed like everyone spoke English well, so that would be helpful if you need accommodation for dietary issues. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely go again.

I want to move in. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a while! We started with the spring rolls. The peanut butter like sauce was so good I’d like to have a gallon jug at home. I chose the papaya salad and shaken beef. My sweetie chose the crispy rice with pork. Wow! The meats were so tender and flavorful. Portions are hearty and staff very accommodating. You need to go now, this week!

Once again exceptional food. the fried seabass with lemongrass sauce and all of our dishes were exceptional. In spite of the generous portions. we cleaned our plates. Still one of my go to places on Atlanta!

I come here pretty often. The food comes quickly and it’s consistently good. I took one star for their lack of customer service (you’ll like wait a while for someone to take your order) and the other missing star is because they rush you out once you’ve cleaned your plate. Otherwise, it’s solid Vietnamese dining at an affordable price.

Fantastic food! Went with a bunch of friends tonight for dinner. The waitress made all of our food choices for us, and she did an incredible jobs. Our favorites were the Shaken Beef, the Thai Basil Chicken, a pork clay pot with a «burned» rice cake, and the green beans. This is one of our new favorite restaurants = will certainly be headed back soon!

The Cuisine: We ordered the Canh Chau. We also had to try their Phở, so we got a small Phở Tai. We really enjoyed both. The Phở was served with authentic ingredients (Thia basil and culantro rather than the sweet basil and cilantro I often get elsewhere). The Canh Chau is hard to find at other Vietnamese restaurants. It was a good balance of sweet, sour, and umami. This dish definitely is enough for two.
Venue: We dined in. Clean and good lighting. The décor is on that bland and cheesy side we’ve come to expect from Asian restaurants. There is authentic but tack Vietnamese sculptures made from stone or ceramic. This combined with hard glass tables make the venue cold and I inviting.
The Experience: With the comfort level of a cafeteria, the food one is over ultimately, so we’ll be back.

Recommendation: come here if you’re hungry for Vietnamese that is affordable, mostly comfortable, and less fatty broths compared with many Vietnamese restaurants.

I am a big fan of this place. I went for the first time with some co-​workers and all of us left happy and full.
The service was great and the waiter walked us through some of his favorites as well as answering other questions. Some of the folks I am with had some dietary issues and they were very accommodating. Seating was also no issue as the restaurant is quite big and there was plenty of parking.
Unintentionally we all ordered the same thing which was the Singapore Noodles. They were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was just right. The only thing I added was a little chili garlic paste.
I would recommend this and will for sure be coming back.

We went to this excellent eatery with a group of family and friends and had a fantastic time. We ate our meal group style and everything was wonderful.
All of the food was arranged nicely on the platters. The restaurant itself is somewhat upscale in appearance and has a really nice atmosphere. It was also very clean and neat. Service was pleasant, reasonably fast for the groups size, and never had to ask for a drink refill.
There was more than plenty for everyone and we stayed late enough to close the place down. Really nice experience and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic Viet food.

Service was really bad tonight. Half the table was served and nearly finished their food by the time the other half arrived. They often will bring one dish out at a time with some long intervals.

I came here today for lunch. I was craving Vietnamese and looked for a new place to try. This place came up on Unilocal and has good reviews so I decided to try it. I went around 11:30. There is plenty of parking. Inside I was seated promptly and given a menu. The atmosphere is very clean and bright, plenty of windows and sunlight. Plenty of tables. I ordered rice dish with grilled shrimp. It arrived in about ten minutes. Everything about it was delicious. I poured fish sauce and sriracha over and mixed my rice. The shrimp was grilled perfectly. Rice was right. I wiped out my platter. I will return certainly to try other items. Because it is nice place their pricing is about $ 2 more than most Vietnamese restaurants on Buford Hwy. Food is the same as other restaurants. Just atmosphere is little nicer.
Anyways– Great food, great atmosphere, good service. Will return.

This is a review on the behalf of my food date.
He is such a picky Phở/​viet food eater. He has a been spoiled by homemade foods from this delicious culture.
Whenever we go to a place that serves mainly phở or food of the culture. he is always unimpressed with the staff and cleanliness. I HATE how my clothes always seem to smell like phở.
This place is the first place he really likes. He likes how the food tastes fresh and clean. He likes that the staff speaks fluent english and doesnt give a mean mugged face when they are serving you. I love that they wear a uniform.
Therefore, i really dont mind pay more for the same food. Because we had a totally different experience. OH and i didnt have to wash my clothes and hair immediately after eating here.
If you are looking for a place to bring your friends who are not from the culture. Bring them here so they dont feel out of place.

I gotta say, the Phở down south is much better than here in NYC. Was a bit confusing trying to find this place as google maps kept telling me to turn into a dead end closed off highway but I managed to find it after driving around some more.
I had a craving for some Phở and this place definitely delivered! The Phở broth tasted much better than what I am accustomed to. My mouth is watering just reminiscing about the good bowl of soup. I got the Phở with everything and a order of spring rolls to share with my coworker.
The food came very promptly and the waiter always made sure everything was good with
us. I will be back Château Saigon!

We used to go to Château all the time, but I think their quality has gone downhill a little. Still, it’s a rather tasty retreat for Vietnamese food. We like to get the papaya salad and shaken beef, with Vietnamese iced coffee. I’ve had their spring rolls which are good, and the phở too! This place is American friendly– they teach you how to roll your own spring rolls if you get the build your own dish.

Just ok. The hot tea had a chlorine smell, not sure if it was the water or just an inadequately rinsed pot. The spring roll was dry. probably made and chilled a few hours from service. The phở was very flavorful but not hot enough. Finally the special soft shell crab was good, but on the greasy side. Too many other good places for my next meal.

I continue my quest to have the perfect Phở — and some have came pretty close. Still, I travel often to have Phở in all 50 states, my noble quest continues here in Atlanta, GA This was state 32 and grateful that I have done this much. Still it’s just a meal that just keeps on giving.
Thanks to Unilocal,as always for helping me locate any and all places I need through my travels. I found Château Saigon Vietnamese restaurant on Unilocal due to its strong 4 star rating near metro Atlanta. The reviews favored the mostly good, so I invited 2 friends of mine who worked and lived in the area. It was around noon on a casual Wednesday. It was that type of day where Phở was possibly best choice to have (again). I spent the morning driving back from Knoxville TN and directly back to Atlanta and that was 3 hours of flying on the I-​75 at 70 mph. Thankful there’s no morning rush on that stretch! Château Saigon Vietnamese restaurant is your stereotypical Vietnamese restaurant and the ambiance was very good, quiet, and casual. It was great to be here with friends for lunch on a quiet Wednesday in Atlanta.
Château Saigon Vietnamese restaurant is definitely a larger restaurants that it’s almost luxurious and swanky at the same time. The décor was very nice and the atmosphere screamed and shouted that it ain’t your typical random Wednesday, with no real special occasion to choose from. Yes, I am a tourist in Atlanta for a day, but it was fun and low key to just have a bite here at Château Saigon. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall at 4300 Beaufort Highway, Atlanta. They accept major credit cards, so that’s always a good thing. The prices here are pretty good with the bowl of Phở at most $ 10, which is what I usually get anyway. The broth was pretty good and flavorful and succulent, I just could not really get enough. It was good, but the flavor didn’t really aspire to the perfect Phở, but it was top 25 material for sure.
The service here was quite good and friendly. Average and polite, as per usual. The restaurant was nice and small enough to where it felt nice just to be here after a day of sightseeing, or lack thereof, and driving around Atlanta. It was great to see new and old friends and hope to be back to Atlanta on one trip fairly soon. The broth itself had a nice earthly flavor to it. Not too dark, but it felt just right. I should have asked for extra vegetables, so you can have more crunch while you eat — I do like extra bean sprouts. The basil was always good and it melted in the broth with the hints or lemon. The meal was a good one and thankful that Château Saigon is here in Atlanta. I’d definitely would recommend Château Saigon for your go to place for Phở and Vietnamese cuisine in not so much metro Atlanta for your daily fix.

Came for lunch. Spring roll (gai cuon) was light, but flavorful. Great peanut sauce. I got the Phở Tai. After adding a dash of Sriracha sauce, it was perfect. The medium was enough for me. My coworker, who’s never been to a Vietnamese place got the pork chop rice entrée and loved it. Great portions and friendly courteous staff. Highly recommend

Château Saigon is tucked away in a quiet strip mall on Buford Highway. One of the best attributes is the clean and elegant atmosphere. Once seated at a table with nice white linens you are presented with a menu, a menu which most of us regulars that frequent vietnamese establishments already know what is available and can order blindly and confidently. The ambiance is more business casual and more upscale from the other Vietnamese restaurants that are available on Buford Highway.
Ive had the Shaken Beef and Phở Tai here. The Shaken beef is cooked to perfection, served on a bed of lettuce or watercress with a side dish of salt and pepper with lime juice squeezed in as a dipping sauce. The beef has a tender center that bursts of flavor without the salt/​pepper/​lime juice concoction. The phở tai is presented in a perfect portion with the raw meat cooking in the hot broth upon arrival. Fresh sprouts, jalapeño, lime wedges, mint leaves, cilantro, and various other greens make for a wonderful and filling dish. The service is always prompt, parking is always available, and I take my clients here when they are in town.

Everytime I go into a Vietnamese restaurant I always have the delimma of choosing between soup or rice.
I was in town for work and decided to get my phở fix on. Was a little confused on how to order phở here but the waiter gave me the option to have «everything» on it so that was pretty cool. Definitely not offered in NYC.
It was delicioussss! Atmosphere is very nice and spacious.
Decided to order the burnt rice with clams as my second entrée. Took a bit long to come out but that is understandable considering it was probably cooked in a clay pot.
Also, had the snow peas which were quite tasty as well.
Will definitely check this place out again when I’m back

After seeing a couple of food pictures, I decided to give this place a try. Located in one of the shopping centers on Buford Highway, this place has some very good food.
The interior is pretty nice and pretty big. It’s a little more decorated than most Vietnamese restaurants around Buford. There’s a pretty big parking lot so you shouldn’t have to worry about not finding space to park. We got seated right away on a Tuesday night. There also seemed to be some kind of event that the restaurant was hosting for a huge group of people so it was pretty packed.
We started off with two appetizers: Goi Cuon and Bi Cuon (spring rolls).
– The Goi Cuon comes with shrimp, pork, fresh herbs, bean spouts, and vermicelli. It’s served with a peanut sauce on the side. I’m very familiar with this appetizer since I usually get this to start with at most Vietnamese restaurants. It was pretty good here. They give you two rolls and each is cut into two.
– The Bi Cuon comes with julienne pork, herbs, and lettuce. I was not a huge fan of this… Julienne is a French term which means to cut your pork into long, thin, evenly-​shaped strips. This was not the case here. The pork had a dry, flaky texture. I’ve had this kind of pork before, but I wasn’t expecting it to be served in a spring roll. I don’t think this preparation of the pork is fit to be a garnish in a spring roll because it’s hard to eat as the pork flakes keep falling out of the spring roll.
Next we ordered three different entrees:
– Muc Rang Muoi (Salt and pepper calamari)
I loooove calamari and this place did a good job preparing it. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly fried.
– Bo Luc Lac («Shaken» Beef)
I fell in love with this dish when I discovered it at another restaurant. It was prepared really well here. Tender, juicy beef tenderloins with scallions, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. They offer two portion size for this meal and we got the smaller portion. It was a decent portion size for us considering we also got two other entrees. You can see the portion size from the pictures I posted.
– Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Crêpe)
Ahhhh, it’s been FOREVER since I’ve had this dish. I absolutely love this and Château Saigon did a fantastic job reuniting me with this dish. It comes with pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts with lots of fresh herbs on the side and served with fish sauce. The crêpe came a little crispier than what I’m used to but I loved it.
Service was okay. They seemed to be a little understaffed considering they had a huge party to take care of so it seemed most of their attention was focused on this bigger party. Food took just a little longer to hit the table but once they start rolling out food, all the meals came out pretty quickly, one after the other. But all in all, really good food.

This place is situated in a smaller shopping center off Buford Hwy. It’s large neon sign makes it pretty hard to miss from the street. This qualifies as a more upscale dining experience than your standard Phở restaurant. I often see people wear anything from business suits to jean shorts. Ambiance is great for a date night. Service is significantly better than at other Vietnamese restaurants. They are quick to refill drinks and come back to check in on you.
The food is great! I absolutely love the bun rieu (crab noodle soup) here, which is not commonly served since it’s not nearly as popular as phở. The broth is super flavorful and the crab cake meat is so good. And there’s ALOT of it. I rarely ever finish. Also highly recommend the banh xeo (Vietnamese crêpe) here. It’s MASSIVE, easily enough to share between two people. It’s perfectly crispy and filled with shrimp, pork and bean sprouts. It also comes with a large platter of lettuces and herbs to make wraps with. Menu also had a good variety of Phở options, rice dishes and vermicelli dishes.
Prices are about $ 1 – 2 more than the average Vietnamese restaurant but still very affordable. Great spot for anyone who is new to Vietnamese food or enjoys Vietnamese food.

The staff was very accommodating when we asked for vegetarian alternatives to our favorite dishes, My Quang and Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Crêpe). The tofu option is delicious and I did not miss the meat at all. The staff was overall, very friendly.
The first time I was here, I got their Shaken Beef and it was so tender and flavorful, no doubt very memorable!
I have been here several more times and love every dish I’ve ordered. The salt and pepper shrimp without shells is my favorite because of the mayonnaise/​mustard dip that comes with it.
I highly recommend this place for quality food and prompt service.
