Bridal Sense

I have been to MANY of the dress shops in Atlanta and I have to say I love this place. The ladies here are so helpful, patient and wonderful! 4 months out from my wedding and they found me the perfect dress for a great price. Their selection isn’t huge but what they carry are beautiful and high quality. I would definitely recommend checking them out!

My daughter is getting married next April. She, my mother and I made an appointment to try dresses on at Bridal Sense. We went on a Friday, because we had been warned they are very busy on Saturdays. We arrived promptly at 10am and the ladies were ready and waiting for us. We found THE dress here and when my daughter expressed concerns that the dress was strapless, Nancy and her team quickly suggested ways cap sleeves could be added during the alterations process. Needless to say, my daughter said YES to the dress. Cannot thank the team at Bridal Sense enough.

Loved this place. The staff was friendly and helpful and the selection was very large. There were plenty of dresses on consignment and many of the non consignment dresses were quite affordable. Didn’t find the one but would definitely come back to see their on going new selection.

Although we were uncertain about this place from the outside, the inside is lovely, has a decent affordable selection, and the staff was wonderful! My sister had the opportunity to try on many lovely gowns, and although she did not find «the one» here, they had many accessories and other items that she was interested in purchasing. Definitely worth a visit if you are shopping on a budget!

I had a wonderful experience at Bridal Sense. I went with my parents to find my wedding dress, not realizing that they close at 3pm on Mondays. Nancy, the owner, said she would stay late and work with us even though we had come in at 3. I ended up picking out a beautiful dress that Nancy recommended. She clearly knows her stuff and was a joy to work with. They have a really great selection of never worn wedding dresses at discounted prices. Grazie Nancy :)

I didn’t buy my dress from Bridal Sense but, I did get it altered there. When I gave them my dress the lady immediately start working on it. She was so busy pinning it up and measuring that she didn’t hear me when I told her I wanted a corset back. She then took it to the front of the store and start cutting the inside of the dress with a razor blade. She then took the price list and check what she was going to do to the dress. $ 145 to take the sides out then like $ 50 for the bustle. After I saw her do all of that I just felt obligated to pay the price. After that I told my fiancé (who is my husband now) and he told me to call them back and tell them specifically what I want done to the dress. I called and asked was she going to do the corset back and she wasn’t. They then said they will do the corset back. They said the dress will be ready on a Saturday, I don’t drive so since me and my husband was out and about he took me to pick up the dress, it was going to be covered so he wouldn’t see it and I was going to stick it in the trunk while he just walk around and not see the dress. It wasn’t ready! I went on a Tuesday to pick it up. I was riding public transportation. She was trying to charge me for a dress bag. I told her I was ready with a ride last Saturday I don’t have the money and she just found a bag to put over my dress.
A little advice, never ever buy a wedding dress online and think it will fit because the alterations cost me more than I spent on the dress. But I got the dress from a thrift store online brand new with the tag and it was cheap so I can’t complain.

LOVE this place! I had tried on dresses at several other bridal stores, and department stores and wasn’t having ANY luck. I liked how I was able to check out the live inventory on the Bridal Sense website and choose which dresses I wanted to try on. When I arrived they had already pulled the dresses for me!
The staff was very down-​to-​earth and low pressure which I LOVED. Marissa was super honest but in a «fun» way and the experience itself was enjoyable. When the dresses I picked didn’t work I was bummed. They picked out some more for me to try on and they found THE ONE! They found my dream dress. Also, the alterations staff if amazing and know what they are doing. The BEST party is the dress ended up costing $ 249 which was a STEAL! Will send every bride I know to this store!!!

I see lots of good Unilocal reviews for Bridal Sense and Nancy. I hope that means she has improved her products and services since my experience. If so, great. If not, you might be in for something like this. I lived near Bridal Sense and had driven by numerous times, so when I became engaged, I decided to stop in and see if they could meet my needs. It was my second wedding, and I didn’t want a traditional white gown. But I did have a very specific idea of the type of dress I wanted. Nancy showed me a book from which I could order the desired style in a range of fabrics. I did so, and paid 50% up front, a total of about $ 100. At the time of ordering, the seamstress took my measurements. When the dress came in, I stopped in for a fitting and got a huge shock. Not only did the dress look NOTHING like the style shown in the book, it was a horribly constructed, misshapen, not-​even-​symmetrical disaster. The main seams were not even sewn straight! My wedding was only two weeks away, but I agreed to let the seamstress attempt to repair and fit the dress. I made an appointment to return a few days later, and the seamstress was not even there. Nancy said she would be there Saturday, one week before my wedding. Apparently I was supposed to trust that the dress would be totally transformed and that I’d pick it up three days before my wedding. That just was not acceptable to me, so I asked for my money back. Nancy had been reasonably polite up to that point, but from that moment on she was rude, dismissive, dishonest, and downright mean. She refused to give me any of my money back, refused to contact the manufacturer for any type of adjustment, and then lied to the credit card company about the whole thing after I opened a dispute for the charge. Fortunately, I was a very good customer and they (the credit card company) refunded my money, no questions asked. I was glad to end the transaction and move on. NOTE ADDED FOLLOWING RESPONSE FROM OWNER: As noted in the review, I have LONG since moved on, and haven’t given any of this a moment’s thought since I resolved it. However, I drove by your store last weekend when I was in Atlanta, and noticed that you’re still in business. My life is — and always has been — about forgiveness, helping others (thus the honest review), and overall positivity. I’m truly glad you’re doing so well now, and enjoying success. I’m upgrading you to two stars for the effort. Best wishes!

Love Bridal Sense. This was the first store I went in and I was ‘just looking’. Fifteen minutes into the trip, I tried on the gown I fell in love with. One of the staff members actually suggested it because it wasn’t one I would’ve picked but it was absolutely perfect. The store looks like a consignment shop. But what they lack in fancy dressing rooms and volume, they make up for with cheap prices and great customer service. Because that was the first store, I went to four upscale bridal stores in the area afterwards. I tried on more expensive gowns but I kept thinking about the one I fell in love with. I returned to Bridal Sense and bought it. The best part is I got my gown and veil and carry bag for about $ 300 (including my Unilocal coupon). It was a sample gown, never worn, $ 700 online. I highly recommend!

Nancy went above & beyond what I ever expected! I went 2 this shop 2 consign my wedding dress. She gav me sum great advice & told me what she could do 4 me. She was so awesome!!! I wish I would hav found her b4 my wedding! This is where I would hav purchased my dress from.

Love this place. Nancy and her staff are so sweet! Small shop, but they have a good selection. I consider this place a diamond in the rough :] The first time I visited, I found a gorgeous gown for ~$ 500! But, I needed some time to think about buying it and sadly when I finally decided, the dress was already gone. It would have been an amazing steal! I went back a second time to see if they could order a dress for me and Nancy gave me a great price that beat out all the other places I tried! Now, I can’t wait until July to get my dress from Bridal Sense! They also have a few ladies that do alterations, so it’s a one stop shop!
Tip: If you find a dress you love in the discount section– don’t wait too long before you decide because it will get bought by someone else! Don’t make the same mistake I did.

The gowns at Bridal Sense are some of the best you will find and the prices are truly unbeatable, but perhaps my favorite thing about Bridal Sense is their customer service and friendly staff! Nancy, the owner, exudes are true passion for making gown shopping a fun, stress free experience, and it’s clear she works hard to offer the best gowns at the best prices. Both Nancy and April (who helped me as well) seemed truly vested in finding me the right gown and were very knowledgable about their inventory. They certainly created a relaxed, fun, and stress-​free shopping experience for me! Definitely go to Bridal Sense for a great gown at a great price!

Bought my wedding dress here for a great price & returned with a Unilocal coupon to buy a sash for a lot less than I would have paid elsewhere. Wish I had looked here for bridesmaids dresses too!

This was literally, my very last stop in the hunt for a dress. I was seriously contemplating just showing up in jeans on my wedding day-​that is how SICK of searching for a dress I was. My fiancé also came with me to assist!
All the dresses are categorized by style around the store and come in every shade of ivory/​champagne you could think of. They are also in clear bags to protect each dress.
They have sizes for everyone, as well. It’s very organized.
My most favorite part is how low/​no-​pressure they are. What I hated most about dress shopping is how much everyone wants you to SPEND SPEND SPEND on a dress you’re just gonna wear ONE day. I get it’s THE day but it’s still ONE day. Gosh.
The first dress I tried on was the one I decided on… I purchased a Unilocal deal ($ 50 for $ 25) that helped quite a bit.
if I have any more friends get engaged I am dragging them to this store. You truly won’t regret it. I know there is no other place in Atlanta I could have gotten as such a nice dress for such a steal.

I did not find «the one» but I would recommend Bridal Sense to any bride looking for a pretty dress on a tight budget. The owner, Nancy, was super helpful and even sent me a few links to additional gowns I might like after I left the store.

Bridal Sense was beyond my expectations. I went kind of last minute not really expecting to find anything. It’s in an unassuming building, nothing fancy, but I did not want to go to a huge busy shop and be herded around like cattle. This place was small, they allowed you to browse on your own and they were super friendly.
I literally spent 45 minutes there and found my dress. I think I set a world record on dress shopping and I was way under budget. If you are okay with it not being super fancy, try this place, you will not regret it!!!

My experience was very disappointing, especially after reading strong reviews on Unilocal.Although I made an appointment online, the staff seemed surprised to see a customer at 10A on a Saturday. My specific search for a mother of the bride dress in fall colors such as pale gold or deep color was met w/​discouraging comments about how those colors are so hard to get, but I could see what they had. Overall, staff were not welcoming or encouraging, and I had the distinct feeling they preferred not to be bothered w/​my wedding-​related needs. I cannot recommend this store, unfortunately.

I’m definitely a fan of this place. I started out by looking at dresses on their website and after seeing a couple that interested me I made an appointment on-​line. I never could tell if you really need to make an appointment or not because when I arrived both sales people just stared at me. When I said I had an appointment neither checked any book or website or anything to see if I really did. One of them took me around the store and showed me how the dresses were laid out.
I like that the store has a mix of new, order-​able, sample sale, sale, and consignment dresses. There were tons of options for different price ranges and styles.
I can’t speak much on the customer service because there were 2 young sales people there that were more about talking about what they were going to do over the weekend than really trying to be helpful, but they were very nice and when I needed something they were there. I would just say they didn’t necessarily go out of their way to do anything.
I didn’t find my wedding dress here, but did find my reception dress here for a super great, unbeatable price. The same Vera Wang was at David’s Bridals for $ 150 and I got it here for $ 70 because it was a sample sale. Works for me!
I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good variety and great prices.

Top notch service. I only just found out about Bridal Sense last week, and after about a week of stalking everything Bridal Sense, I finally made the trek out to Atl to get my dress. I did my research on their website and had already picked out dresses that I loved. The process was extremely easy-​going and put me at ease. Their excellent customer service, and the most adorable little girl ever, Emma, made my experience of shopping for a gown without my family members very memorable. I proudly walked away with a SIGNIFICANTLY discounted gown (bridal sense discount + Unilocal discount + additional store discount). They made me one happy customer because I was not only able to afford my dream dress, but I OWNED it once it was on me! You’ve got to ownnnn your dress ladies! Go to Bridal Sense, you won’t regret it!

These ladies made my bridal experience awesome. From start to finish they did everything they could to make sure my dress looked perfect. I bought a beautiful dress in the consignment section for significantly less than it’s retail value of $ 2600. (I don’t understand women that want to waste that kind money on a dress when they wear it for about 6 – 7 hours). They had a large selection of consigned dresses and ones that could be ordered. Most were under 2K.
I can sew fairly well and was able to check the quality of gown. There were no rips or stains. The boning of the dress was in perfect condition.
Once alternation time came, Sima only had to take the dress in a few inches, and added a french bustle to the back. Their alteration prices were fair and less than what I budgeted.
The shop is some what old looking, but clean and well maintained. Not fancy-​schmancy, but they have mirrors, changing rooms, and a stand to play dress up on. It’s a place for the practical and stylish bride. I say stop on in.
