Bo Bridgeport Brokers Inc

My experience with Bo Bridgeport was fantastic. I specifically worked with Morgan Shields with the Jody and Joan team (
). She is the best! As a first-​time homebuyer, she explained everything and made the process very easy. She even suggested other great people to work with (closing attorneys, mortgage lenders, home inspectors).

This is definitely a mixed review for me. While the COMPANY is actually a great company to deal with, the EMPLOYEES leave something to be desired. In particular, our agent, Lea Johnston, does not have the buyer’s interests at heart; she is in it for the sale. We had problems before and after closing, and frankly her end response was to just get over it. NOT what I want to hear when I am making an almost $ 200k investment. She was horrible when it came to brokering between us and the seller (which was her ONLY job), and in the end, even got into a shouting match with me, in which she took the seller’s side (whom she was not representing). Her company picked up the ball BIG time for her, though, and managed to help us through many of our problems, but by no means were we helped to the extent we should have been. I would think twice before ever using them for an agent again.
Additionally, there is a house that is currently for sale behind my house. When this house was being built, the builders were constantly dumping trash and having trash bins placed on our property. When we tried to contact them, with no luck, we contact the agent (a Bo Bridgeport agent, unfortunately), and the response was completely uncalled for. She was rude and crude, and even told my partner and I that we were stalking her and needed to leave her the «F» alone. All that because I called her to get in contact with HER client about an issue with the land and property that SHE was representing. As before, the company LARGELY stepped in and made up for her missteps. By then, we were able to handle it ourselves, which was useless, when we could have had the help of the company representing the property. The company stood up for her, which was expected, but I feel like they should have been more sympathetic and understanding to our situation.
I seriously have heard nothing but good things about Bo Bridgeport as a company, and I have also heard that it is based solely on the agent you get, but with two experiences under my belt, I have been twice burned and will not be going back. That is why this review is a bit mixed for me, mainly because I have heard such good things, and believe they are capable of good service; they just didn’t give it to me.
