Binderow Sander R MD

Sander Binderow is one of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. He performed a hemorrhoidectomy and in doing so, cut out a piece of my anus. I’ve have chronic pain ever since. Had I known at the time I would have sued him for malpractice, but I didn’t find out until over a year later from another colorectal surgeon.
If you’re thinking of having surgery done by Dr. Binderow, run away.

terrible terrible terrible… i visited dr. binderow because of a referral from the first dr. i saw which was alan fixelle. i made an appointment for september 30^th. i arrived at 1pm as scheduled and i waited an hour and a half to see mr. binderow. i finally get back to the room… he examined me in 5 minutes and was done. i have never seen a dr. dismiss anyone so fast. the end result was him telling me i need surgery. i was not ready for surgery, and i asked him to prescribe me a medicine. he did not do that. i understand that a dr.‘s main goal is to make money, and they could give a care less about your health. i called back a month and a half later to ask to be prescribed the medicine, and was told i needed to come in for another exam and pay more money. i have never been so upset in my life. he mentioned that the second exam could possibly be waived, and he would have his «financial team» to call me. when they called me it was only to tell me i would still have to pay. what a meaningless call this was. if you can stay far away from this office. they are money hungry and could care less about the inconvenience of a patient, let alone about what your preferences are. his health grade on

I have no way to judge his medical skills.
My review is limited to the manner by which his practice is managed.
After waiting 30 minutes in the waiting room I was finally summoned by a surly employee (peters) who simply shouted out patients’ last names when it was their time to be sent to an exam room. No mr. or mrs., no first names, she’d just yell out SMITH or JONES, for example.
So I wait another 20 minutes alone in an exam room.
At no time while I waited a half hour in the waiting room or another 20 minutes in the exam room did either of the receptionists or any of the myriad of other nurses, attendants, or even the dr. Inform me that they were running so far behind schedule.
So, after waiting 50 minutes I went to the nurses’ desk and asked for a refund for the $ 35 copayment they collected in advance of any services being rendered. I asked if they would validate my parking ticket since I just wasted hours of my valuable time in transit and waiting for a physician I could no longer wait to see. Sorry– we don’t validate tickets. $ 5 up in smoke.
20 minutes later as I drove home the office manager called me to apologize. She asked if there was anything she could do. I told her that I would take my business elsewhere.
