I have been shopping at Big Lots for years. They are building a super Walmart in the shopping center. I went there today an Big Lots is gone. I took used to pay little attention to the prices, but lately I have noticed that when I buy Nature Valley oatmeal bars they were $ 3.00. That’s more than Publix. I was getting low quality for a higher price on some paper goods. From now on I will shop elsewhere.

This store is a bit cluttered and messy but their prices are well worth a visit every once in a while. They have a nice food section and some pretty good deals on household goods and cleaners. The furniture, on the other hand, is crap. Employees on the floor could definitely have been more friendly but our cashier was very nice. As discount stores go — not the best but definitely not the worst.

I love this Big Lots cause it is the only one I have found that carries Princess pickled spicy asparagus! Yum! They don’t always have them but still I’ve only seen them here. Only bad thing about my visit was this Hispanic woman was doggin my tracks! Everywhere I went here she would come, I so wanted to turn around and yell at her to get the Fu@k away.

My friend Justin reviewed a Big Lots the other day and it was just sitting there in the back of my mind, nagging me day and night… go to big lots… go to big lots… gooooo tooooo big lots. Well I went because we were doing a big backyard BBQ party for my daughter’s birthday and got ALL kinds of things. We got one of those old school kettle grills for $ 28. Yes, twenty eight freaking dollars. I’ll spend $ 28 on a pitcher of margaritas and not bat an eye. They have everything you could ever need for an amazing outdoor event — gazebos, patio furniture, outdoor lights, coolers, umbrellas, etc. We are even going to go back this weekend and get an above-ground pool. I have priced them out all over the place and on the internet, and no one can touch their prices. I am a diehard Target fan, but Target is not even close on price matching. They do have some funky shit, like the weird clothes(used clothes? can’t tell) aisle and definitely would not buy anything edible there, but for certain things, Big Lots is the place.

They have reconditioned Dyson Animal vacuum cleaners!!! Love!!! Helps with my one-dog, two-cats situation. Paid nearly HALF of what a Dyson costs at Target. BOO-YA.

I just moved back from NYC and needed some stuff for yard work that we sold in a garage sale before we left. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money so I figured Big Lots might have what I need only for cheap. I used to go in this location before we moved to buy painting supplies like rollers and what not because they were cheaper and also random things like name brand trash bags and dishwashing detergent because it used to always be cheaper than even the target or walmart store brands. What in the hell happened to their cheap prices? Seriously, where did they go? The first thing I looked at was some big loppers. $ 10 seemed high for non name brnad loppers with no grip handle. Then i looked at shovels. Again, they seemed really high. I decided to wait on these items because I wanted to check out walmart before I spent $ 10 on some cheapy loppers. I went through the cereal aisle because when I used to go here, you could get name brand ceral for super cheap. They had giant bags of malt o meal bobo frosted mini wheats that was $ 4. This was more than I paid when I lived in NYC!!! I left without buying anything. 2 days later I went to Walmart. I got some loppers that were $ 2 less and had grips and were just generally higher quality. Shovels and rakes were also cheaper at Walmart. WTF Big Lots??? The only reason I’m giving this store 2 stars and not just 1 is because it’s clean and well organized unlike every other Big Lots I’ve ever been in in the metro ATL area. If you need cheap crap, go to Walmart.
