Anh did both my hair and makeup flawlessly. I blind booked her because I decided last minute that I needed to do my hair and makeup since I was bridesmaid in a wedding and wanted to at least look decent in picture. She was top rated on my google search so I was hopeful that she would be good and I needed someone who could travel to meet me at my hotel. Anh did not disappoint, she knew her makeup and all her stuff is high end products. She had all the proper tools and even brought her own lighting. She took a picture of me after to make sure my makeup showed up properly in pictures. I didn’t give her much options to work in terms of my short hair but she did what she could and it lasted all night. She is definitely a professional and her knows her stuff. She did great contouring on my face. Both hair and makeup lasted all day/​night. I do want to mention she did show up late but I understand that sometime life happens and she kept in contact with me the whole time through email so I wasn’t worried. I also booked it knowing I knew I had plenty of time before I had to meet up with the wedding party. She even finished doing my hair and makeup early with lots of time to spare. I am slightly paranoid about using someone else makeup so it was quite reassuring to see Anh cleans and sanitizes her stuff properly after every use. She’s worth the amount I paid, thank you for doing such a great job!

Beauty by Anh will be highly recommended to anybody needing makeup and hair styling needs. Anh has the perfect mix of patience, flexibility, and professional judgement to make you look stunning. Anh did my two bridesmaids and my makeup and hair for my wedding day. She’s fast, but does not make you feel rushed on your big day!
For hair, Anh was able to take what both my bridesmaids wanted and was able to make adjustments as needed. She also doesn’t make you feel bad if you try something, don’t like it, and want to try something else. I feel this is very important, as you want to feel comfortable enough to try a couple things out before you’re absolutely satisfied with how you look.
As for makeup, I was also 110% satisfied. Anh is able to magically transform you with contouring, highlighting, and picking beautiful colors that really pull your face together. I felt like we were all going in for a hollywood photoshoot. I even considered not showering for a few days because the makeup and hair were just so gorgeous! I received compliments all night, and I am just so happy with the photos I’ve started seeing of the wedding day so far!
Anh will travel to your location for your big day, so this is also an added bonus. You are sure to feel relaxed and confident on whatever your big occasion is. Beauty by Anh is sure to exceed your expectations. Thank you, Anh!

Anh was the best. I was extremely picky about the makeup artist I wanted for my wedding and went through multiple trials with various artists before I settled on her. Best decision ever. She’s fantastic, punctual, and totally delivers.

I am really happy I chose Anh to do make up for my 11/​27/​2015 wedding. She was really helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. The hair/​make up was perfect and lasted throughout the day and even after hours of dancing!!! I still get compliments on my wedding make up, almost a month after later! She seriously did a fantastic job.

Anh was AMAZING for my 11/​15/​2015 wedding! I am a girl who knows next to nothing about hair and even less about makeup, and I didn’t have time to do a trial, so I was a little nervous. Anh put me perfectly at ease with her expertise and personality; she knew exactly what to say to calm my nerves not only about hair and makeup but also about getting married in general. She arrived right on time and brought not only her elaborate makeup kit but also her own lighting! She was also kind enough to give me some additional makeup (and even application brushes since of course, I had none) in case I needed a touchup at the venue, which I didn’t — the makeup lasted all day, even through all the happy tears, and the hair survived multiple well-​meaning assaults by family members attempting to attach the veil and comb.
I don’t expect to get married again (knock on wood!) but if another event ever crops up where I need to have my hair and makeup professionally done, I would definitely go back to Anh.

To attest how talented Anh is, I didn’t even do a makeup or hair trial beforehand! I planned my Atlanta wedding from Los Angeles in a short amount of time, and it was challenging to find someone who seem to know Asian skin, short hair, and did not have a minimum set of services since I didn’t have bridesmaids. We communicated only via email, and Anh was super responsive. On the day of the wedding, Anh was very professional, working quickly yet diligently. And she executed my inspiration look flawlessly, down to the red lip. As many of my guests commented, my look was «perfection” — thanks to Anh.

Anh is truly talented, hard-​working, and professional. Communication and payment was fast and easy. Normally, I do not wear makeup so this experience was definitely outside my comfort zone. I was also nervous because I have monolids and short eyelashes that point downward so eye makeup has always been tough for me. Luckily, Anh is such a warm person and really put me at ease. I scheduled a trial and Anh did a wonderful job of listening to me while making suggestions for what she thought would work for me. She tried a few different things for both hair and makeup to see what I would like best — she took her time and I never felt rushed. I even followed up with her that evening via email about how the eye makeup and hair curls were holding up and she remembered everything on the day of the wedding. One month before the wedding, I asked my aunts and cousins who wanted their hair and makeup done so I could book them with Anh but, as I should have expected, I had people asking if they could get squeezed in the night before the wedding. Anh was very flexible and arrived earlier than originally scheduled (bright and early at 5:30 AM!) to make sure we had enough time and to accommodate the extra people. Anh and Martez (an awesome hair stylist) did a wonderful job on everyone’s makeup and hair — I was so pleased. I highly recommend Anh — she really knows her craft and will make you feel so beautiful on your wedding day.

Anh was such a pleasure to have in my wedding. She has talent, she is personal, she listens, and she comes prepared.
I booked her twice for my wedding (makeup & hair for morning and evening ceremony). Although most of her work on fb, website, and Unilocal showcases predominately her makeup, she is also superb at doing updos. I had a summer wedding and had my hair up the whole time. Anh listened to what my hair vision was and even asked to see pictures of what I desired.
It was great to book the whole package rather than book separately a makeup artist and hairstylist.
Overall I was very satisfied with my decision to have Anh in my wedding! It was lovely being in a chair and having her pampered me, now I need an excuse to book her again (pregnancy photos maybe?).

Anh is the best in the business! She is a hair stylist and make up artist all in one. She makes every bride look like a million bucks– including me! Anh did my hair and make up for 4 days of my wedding and I got numerous praises on how beautiful I looked each day! I would definitely recommend Anh to all future brides!!!

I am half Thai-​Chinese and It is difficult to find a good makeup artist who understands Asian face. She did an excellent job on me and my mother. The makeup was long lasting because I had it done at 7 am and my wedding was at 6 pm. Anh had another client that day and I asked her to come in early. My eyes looked great. I liked a little bit of smokey but kept an overall natural look. Got a lot of compliment on my make up. I would recommend Anh to any Asian brides.

Where do I begin? Anh is AMAZING! She is so incredibly talented and has such a bubbly personality! It was so great to know that I got to start each event working with her because she was so calm and postive. As for makeup and hair design, I fully trusted Anh to do what she does best. and well she definetly delivered! I would HIGHLY reccomend using Anh for any of her services! Anh asked me if I had anything specific that I had in mind and I showied her a few pictures, but told her that I completely trusted her opinion. Anh did such an amazing job. She was quick while still taking her time to make sure my hair and make up was exactly how I wanted it. She is also super sweet and made sure that I was relaxed/​calm before all my events. I had my hair and make-​up done for 3 events and it lasted the whole event and was beautifully done! I would highly recommend reccomend her!

Anh is a talented, young professional and very attentive to details. You know you have a fabulous makeup artist when she shows up at your doorstep at 3 am looking amazing! She listened to what I did and did not like from our trial, and did an amazing job for my wedding. A trial is definitely important, it gives you and her a better idea of what to expect and lets you know what works for you and what doesn’t work. She did members of my family as well, and allocated enough time to make sure you’re ready when you need to be.

Anh did my make-​up and hair for my wedding. I wanted my wedding day photos to turn out perfect so I knew I had to find a professional to do my make-​up and I found Anh while researching make-​up artists in the Atlanta area. Let me just preface by saying that I have THE MOST DIFFICULT eye shape to work on… the monolid. I’ve had professional make-​up artists work on my eyes before and the results were disastrous. The ones that are not used to working with Asian monolids will make you look like you just got socked in the eye by a soccer ball. Not a pretty look. So, at our first meeting, I made certain that Anh knew how to work with monolids. We did a trial to make sure I liked her work and, let me just tell you, my now husband was blown away with her make-​up artistry! Everything was on point and she made my monolids look good. I was stunned! I was immediately sold and she did my make-​up and hair for my wedding day.
Anh is very accommodating. I had a very early Sunday morning wedding ceremony and she didn’t hesitate at all when I asked her to start at 6 am. She came in early, bright-​eyed and cheery. Everything went smooth and the wedding day make-​up and hair was even more gorgeous then the consultation. My entire family couldn’t believe how fantastic the make up was! And, yes, the make up was perfect and the pictures timeless.
Do yourself a favor. If you are looking for a sweet, fun, spunky and professional make-​up artist who can take you and turn you into a better you, look no further. You will not be disappointed in Beauty by Anh!

It’s been a few months now since my hubs and I finally tied the knot, and it’s about time that I review my wedding vendors! As someone who relies on Unilocal reviews for pretty much any type of business I am looking for, there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to find most (if not all) of my wedding vendors through Unilocal.
At the time, I didn’t have any close friends who had recently gotten married in Atlanta, so I had no clue who would be able to do my wedding makeup and hair. Sure, my sister, Crystal H., is amazing at doing my makeup on certain special occasions, but she was my maid of honor and I did not want to have friends or family «working» on my wedding day. Thanks to Unilocal,not only did I find Anh Bui, but she also happened to be referred to Crystal H. by one of her Facebook friends! This, and looking through the photos on Anh’s website, confirmed that she was the one I should go with!
*Makeup & Hair Trial*
Since a makeup trial is included in the price of the wedding makeup and hair session, I was fortunate to be able to schedule the trial the day of my engagement photo shoot. I did ask to reschedule the trial, but Anh was kind enough to accommodate my request. Although she had offered to come over to my place to do the trial, I decided to go over to her apartment instead of my cramped studio apartment.
The makeup that was used on me included:
* Makeup Forever HD foundation
* Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadows
* M.A.C Bronzed
* Dior mini bronze
* M.A.C Pro 15 concealer
* Makeup Forever powder 115
Prior to this makeup trial, the last time I got my makeup «professionally» done was probably for my high school prom (which didn’t turn out so great), so I was very pleased with how the trial turned out. The trial and wedding makeup includes false eyelashes, which I had never used before, so it was good have the opportunity to try them out. The long, curly hairstyle that I had desired turned out very nice, too.
Unfortunately, just less than three hours after the trial makeup was applied and hairstyle done, one of my false eyelashes started to peel off and my curls were straightening out. =(I understood that the eyelash glue probably didn’t adhere well because my eyes were watering while they were being applied, and my hair is naturally straight so the curls probably needed a ton more hairspray. Additionally, the feedback that I got from others who later saw photos of me was that the shade of foundation used on me looked a little too dark for my light complexion. Subsequently, I provided Anh all of the above feedback in preparation for my big day for which she subsequently expressed appreciation.
*Wedding Day Makeup & Hair*
Along with my hair and makeup, three of my bridesmaids wanted to have their up-​dos done by Anh and another stylist Anh worked with. It’s great that travel within a 20-​mile radius of Anh’s home is included in her total cost for wedding makeup and hair (there is an additional fee if the venue is further), so Anh and the other stylist did our hair and my makeup at our wedding venue.
Through email conversations, Anh communicated that they would need a total of 5 hours to do our hair and my wedding makeup. Since I wanted my wedding photographer to capture photos of me «getting ready,» including getting my hair and makeup done, I had asked Anh if she could do my hair and makeup last. To make a long story short, there was clearly a miscommunication because both she and the other stylist left earlier than I had calculated. So we didn’t get the professional shots we wanted, but Anh was kind enough to let my brother borrow her camera to take some photos of her working on my hair and makeup.
My wedding hair and makeup turned out beautiful! Anh used airbrush foundation on me for my wedding makeup, which was different from the liquid used during my trial. I loved the airbrush makeup, which truly lasted the entire day! Amazing! However, although Anh did use a ton more hairspray for my curls on my wedding day, they still started to come loose before our wedding ceremony even started. (Note: We were outside in the hot sun for our pre-​ceremony photos, so that probably made my curls come loose sooner.) Anh does offer to return for touch-​ups for an additional cost, but I had opted out of this. So my sister and maid of honor, Crystal — armed with a curling iron — touched up my hair prior to the ceremony.
Overall, Beauty by Anh (previously known as Makeup & Hair by Anh) gets 4 stars for the gorgeous makeup and hairstyling done by Anh Bui. Anh is incredibly kind and easy to talk to! I highly recommend Anh for any professional makeup and/​or hairstyling that ladies in the Atlanta area may be seeking, and I would hire her again for special occasions in the future! =)

Anh is awesome! So happy with her work!!! If I could do more stars I would! …I was planning my small wedding in 2 weeks and I needed someone that could do my hair and makeup all together (preferably at my house), I wasnt sure this could happen in such short amount of time, that’s how I found Anh (searching online). The reviews were great and the pictures even better. I decided to call her and she was sooo helpful and nice. I didn’t even needed the trial, after talking to her I knew she was going to do great and I was sooo right! She came to my house the day of the wedding, on time. I sent her couple of pictures (as she requested) to have an idea of how I wanted my hair and makeup, I was soooooo happy with the results! Exactly what I wanted and more! Everybody at my wedding complemented the hair and makeup! I had people asking me for her info before leaving the reception. I felt like a princess/​celebrity (lol). Thanks Anh!

Anh is the BEST! She took very good care of my wife and I. She’s very dedicated to all of her clients and always has a positive upbeat attitude. She was constantly touching up hair and makeup whenever she saw something out of place. It made me feel so good seeing my wife get dolled up for our photo shoot. Anh is a true professional!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Anh! It was so great to have her for my wedding. She did the hair and make-​up for me and my two bridesmaids. Her work was flawless and held up well all day and all night. She was extremely responsive to our needs and requests. For example, she adjusted the fake eyelashes on my right eye three times until I felt like I had a perfect, comfortable fit! So patient!
She also has such a wide array of make-​up products and techniques that she can accommodate any request. My bridesmaids ranged from long stick straight to short curly hair and from tan to pale skin. She made everyone look wonderful!
Anh has a great eye for how make-​up photographs and, for that reason, I am so happy with every picture taken that night! Even better, she was so responsive and professional! She responded to every phone call, text, and email I sent her. And her prices are incredibly reasonable!
So so so strongly recommend!

If you are looking for a professional make up and hair stylist, Anh Bui is the one. I had the pleasure to experience her professional service because of my brother’s wedding. All of Anh’s make up is high quality stuff. Names like MAC, Lancôme, Estee Lauder and more is her tools. I like that because since I am paying for a professional make up and hair stylist, I don’t want them to put products that are unknown on my face. The make up brand that Anh uses on me have great reputation to be good for your skin and long lasting. Which is exactly what I need since its my brother’s wedding. I want to look good in front of the camera. Definitely no shine for me! Also, Anh was nice and very accommodating. She took her time to listen to what kind of looks I wanted to have and then used her professional judgment to give me the best look for me. Overall, I would hire Anh again for special events and definitely recommend her!

Anh is seriously as good as it gets! She will tend to your every need, which is GREAT for brides, especially! She’s great at what she does and never ceases to impress. She did my makeup for a photo shoot this past weekend, and her makeup and hair really put the mood of the shoot all together– she was an amazing addition to our team!

I cannot say enough about Makeup by Anh. I have gotten my makeup done by Anh three times. She knows exactly what colors suits your face! What I loved the most is that she didn’t rush and used everything she had to make me look beautiful!
There was this one time when I had a horrible cold on a day of my photoshoot. She managed to brighten up all my dark circles and make me look perfect for the camera!
