Great $ 5 specials and 2/$ 5 sides. i had an order of mussels that were so great, i had to have another! This place is extremely extremely small so don’t ever plan any group events here. The waitress mentioned that for parties of 10+ they usually require u to sign a contract that obligates u to spend at least $ 200.

I visited this place for lunch last week and was pleasantly surprised. You will be thrown off when looking for it initially because the sign is so small but once you park and walk to it, you’ll be on it before you know it. It is nestled between the barbershop and I believe 525. When you walk in, going straight to the back, you will see that you seat yourself and the waitress came to our table right away and was very attentive. We ordered our food within minutes. Our food was out within 5 – 10 minutes which is great for lunch. I ordered the crab cake, green beans and yams, everything was pretty tasty. I definitely plan to return not only for lunch but after work as it looks like they may have nightlife as well(the small size will keep me from going at night, looks like only 100 can fit comfortably). All in all, good food, great for lunch, parking either on street or in paid lot down on the corner.

Their kale is the best I have ever had and their salmon… Omg! Everything is perfectly seasoned… Staff is attentive. The best place for food on Castleberry Hill art district. Also, all of their sides are delicious

This review is for the Fairburn Road location. I set out to support this local small business owner this evening. When I walked into the restaurant I was greeted by a waitress who said I could sit anywhere I wanted to. I grabbed a seat at the bar since I was dining alone. I sat at the bar unnoticed by waitresses and bartender for over five minutes, when the bartender realized I wasn’t being helped she apologized for the wait and I finally got some service; the wait didn’t initially bother me. Once I placed my order for my beverage and food I didn’t have too long of a wait for the food. While at the bar I noticed the staff was drinking while behind the bar and had several beverages, meanwhile no one noticed that I needed a refill; I had to ask for a refill. The food was ok, nothing to rave about, but decent enough for a repeat visit. Now to the best part, so when it was time to get my final check I noticed my waitress was taking rather long to complete my payment transaction. Apparently, the waitress swiped my debit card several times and all of the charges were accepted and deducted from my account. When I called the restaurant to inquire how and why the error occurred after receiving an insufficient balance notification; I was told the waitress knew and had made a mistake, but the charges would be resolved in up to four days. So, I asked why was I not told and that having a debit card depleted of funds was an inconvenience, I was told by the«acting manager», Crystal that they couldn’t do anything. Upset with the response from the«acting manager» I called back, asking when the manager would be there, Courtni, the waitress who swiped my card several times said they didn’t really have a restaurant manager and the owner doesn’t really come to the restaurant. Needless to say after this experience I won’t be going back.

You will walk past this place if you blink. The storefront is a counter you can purchase some items but to get to the restaurant you have to walk through a long hallway. The place is tiny, although it appears they are constructing an addition in the back. It is separated from the main area by glass, but one would think they would cover the glass so you don’t see it. My friend and I both ordered salads because pretty much everything is overpriced. She ordered the house salad with shrimp. I ordered the spinach salad with shrimp. We both got house salads. The salad comes with egg, or should I say half of an over boiled egg, cheese(a sprinkle), and our cucumbers were frozen. There were about 6 pieces of shrimp which were okay. They automatically add an 18% gratuity after 6pm which I never ever like. The table next to us ordered salmon which looked way over cooked. The other table next to us ordered drinks but then got up and left. The waitress brought the drinks(not noticing that the couple left) and the drinks sat on the table through our whole meal. then we told them the couple left a long time ago. Needless to say I won’t be back.

I enjoyed the food(crab legs, crab cakes, baked potato). The crab cakes were actually *loaded with crab* rather than being primarily bread based. The crab legs were seasoned perfectly. The wait staff was very friendly. I was a little thrown off by this being in front, and Pearl being in the back. But it was well worth dining in Pearl. Three stars because; the seating at the bar was a little uncomfortable(not being able to sit fully facing the bar because of its design); took 30 minutes to get the check, alter the check, and pay for it; if you’re not really looking for the place, you will probably pass it. I would return.

We had a certificate from Baltimore Crab & Seafood, so my husband ordered some food to take home after work today. He ordered the 3 pounds of crab legs, mussels and scallops. We had originally wanted shrimp instead of the scallops, but my husband was told they were out. This was before dinner, around 2:00, so I thought it was a bit odd they were out of shrimp already. Oh well. The food was good, except the crab legs were cooked in butter? I’ve never had crab legs cooked this way and it was quite disappointing because it was so messy. The crab tasted fine, but to have butter all over your hands is not fun. I even had some splatter onto my shirt, so it’s now soaking in stain stick, and I’m hoping the stains will come out, though I’m doubting it will. This was only the second time I’ve worn the shirt. :(If there is a way to get the crab legs steamed instead of cooked in butter, they would be a lot better, meaning less messy. My suggestion would be to have customers receive bibs when they order anything cooked in butter, though another suggestion would be to just have the crab legs steamed, the way most people know them to be cooked. If it wasn’t for the butter mess, I’d give them a better rating, but due to the messiness, the number of paper towels we had to use to wipe our hands and my probably ruined shirt, I have to give them 3 stars.

this place has a nice décor and alright tasting food. they are ok people not super friendly but i think they do good. its a good place to network. small there is another take out resurant in the same location. i was actually looking for them when i found this place and my review is largely based upon my experiences there :-) ok ive decided to give this review two sides bc i think the two places are the same ok the take ut counter is where i give it five stars i get food here frequently and usually am waited on by a pretty girl with long hair who is usually in a good mood and always gets my order right. the potatoes and fried chicken is really good. in fact i didnt even know they had a dozen shrimp cuz i get that all the time lol the food here is good i go here bc i like the way it tastes and its a better place to go than the Mexican resuarant around the corner. but i mainly like the girl who takes the order and food. theres no other reason to go here. its not a comfortable place to sit and the lounge in the back serves the exact same food only a few pennies more expensive lol so i choose to save my two pennies

Baltimore Crab & Seafood & Pearl Bistro are housed in the same doorway & I thought are the same place but I’ve primarily been to the take out counter. I really like this place, great food. & prompt nice service. I almost always get the salmon burger and banana bread pudding but I’ve also had their shrimp po’ boy for lunch before, which is tasty & filling as well. After a certain time the front closes but you can still pick up to go orders at the counter in the back. The atmosphere is loungy in the back part & the patio looks gorgeous.

I always enjoy this spot. Whatever problems they had in the past, they have addressed. I get the dozen fried shrimps. Their steaks and scallop meals have consistently been good. The storefront is carry out with dining in the back. I have not eaten inside b/c it’s a little more pricey but the carryout, on point. I would definitely recommend them.

Here is where things get tricky… This place is the forefront of Pearl Restaurant and Lounge… they are two separate places in the SAME building. I brought a deal saver for this place MONTHS after I had been to Pearl. so I really didn’t think about it, but it turned out great because my plan was to bring my bf. I give this place 2 stars because the food was DELICIOUS!!! Nothing I have ever experienced before. I really would give it 1 though for three reasons… 1) Price: without that coupon? Pssh we would have walked. it was good but with food sometimes its quantity over quality… 2)Parking: It’s hell, we parked in a paying lot because I had it in my mind that we could dine in pearl but because there is no eating area in baltimore, even if your picking up YOU have to pay to park unless you luck up and get a spot on the street. Mind you parking is in the double digits nothing less. 3) Back to the building it’s self… when Baltimore opens, you cannot dine in Pearl. Say What? Your customers can’t sit and eat? Yes THESE reasons alone are why we will never come back. The food is GREAT, and for the quality of it, they should reconsider how they run the place. I promise you, you can get parking, a smaller check, and a larger dining area if you go to any other seafood spot.

So we found this place thanks to having gift certificates around 80% off. This was one of the restaurants we chose. We initially were expecting a sit down type of restaurant. However we were surprised to see it’s the type of place where you grab your food to go. Once we got over that initial shock, we ordered. The food was very tasty. Most of it is fried but you can get broiled food as well as steamed crab legs. For the price, we were very happy. Will definitely go back again when I want quick, inexpensive seafood.

Food is very mediocre. I got grilled tilapia, candied yams, and mac&cheese. The fish was good the sides were not. The mac&cheese is bland with barely any cheese. The yams are comparable to school cafeteria food. Two stars for the service and the atmoshere.

I have walked past this place a million times. During my times frequenting the various venues on Peters Street, or even when I am racing to the lounge they have behind the restaurant, I’d bookmarked this place as a spot that I needed to try. I finally got around to it. I had some type of shrimp and fish combo that was pretty decent. Can’t say its one of my favorite seafood options in Atlanta(I have Very, very few), but it is an option that stay open relatively late on Friday and Saturday nights. The service/cashier was pretty congenial, even though he seemed to be doing a lot at one time. This is a great spot if you are looking to grab a quick carry out and take things back to the house. They also offer a limited menu to the lounge that sits behind the restaurant.

The porthole window in the big blue and white entrance door evokes a bit of mystery on Peter St. Baltimore bay specializes in seafood combos and home-style sides. Inside the look is bright with a relaxing view of a small bar and a few white stools for dining in. The menu ranges from grilled chicken to amazing vegetarian sides or salads. The selections can be ordered al a carte or by combos. The sweet crab cakes, shrimp, salmon salad and cabbage is to die for!!! The menu to-go is much better than the sit down menu. You will notice the sit down menu is very much different as oppose to the to-go menu. The food is awesome both ways, just more of a selection on the take out!

Where to begin, where to begin. Okay so the food is good, I had the chicken… shush I am allergic to most seafood, and it was wonderful. The place is beautiful and has a great vibe, but… the staff is just impossibly rude. My chicken came with a baked potato and I asked to add cheese since it only came with butter and sour cream. I was told, «we don’t do that.» «Really,» I asked…“Not even for an additional charge?” I was told no again. I can’t believe that this place doesn’t have a table spoon of cheese for a potato. It was almost as if the wait person was judging my food preferences. I witnessed this same person… the manager I think, chase two other parties out of the place with her attitude. This place is just too by the book and zero flexibility equals zero customers. If I go here again, I have to be prepared for attitude, not a place to go if you are having a bad day as this will only make it worse.

I have come to the conclusion that this is a place that I can never visit again. There was a point that I raved about their chicken and fish, that is until my friend was hospitalized from eating some bad crabs, I was given fried chicken that was bloody inside, I was given dirty crabs that I paid $ 30 for and they were all bad. I was too scared to eat them. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because it’s black owned, but honestly they are too over priced for mistakes. As a matter of fact I started calling them Baltimore Chicken and Waffles because they could never could get it quite right. They would run out of stuff within 3 hours of opening. When I complained to the owner, she said that it’s because they have a small kitchen. Poor management Horrible service Over priced Not good for groups Unexperienced Staff

So, it’s Sunday afternoon and I’m thinking football. I just finished a meeting that took longer than it should and I am trying to catch the end of the Dallas vs. New England game. But I’m in West End and can’t think of a nearby sports bar. The only place that comes to mind that may have a screen with the game on is this seafood joint I had been to a couple of times. So, to Baltimore Crab & Seafood I go. They have an interesting set up. During the day, you can order food in the front of the establishment to go or to eat in the rear where there is seating and a bar. If you go straight to the bar, there is a limited, but sufficient, menu that features sandwiches and salads. The ambiance is urban edge, but the people are very down to earth. The bartender and wait staff provided prompt, friendly service. During the day, this is a good place for small(6 – 8) group meetings and a good choice for outside flava anytime. The only down side is that the space is a little small and can get tight on busy nights.
