History

Established in 2007.

Established in 2007. Owner, Dustin Hirschfeld started Backyard Custom Construction during his college years. During the school year he worked for a large residential home builder, which grew his passion for building and working with customers. He knew that he wanted to own his own business, but it had been a tough few years with the economy, so he wanted to start small.

What he soon realized that was missing from the construction market was the aspect to customize buildings for homeowners. Homeowners wished that they could add an accessory building, like a shed, to match their new home.

Going into 2016, Backyard Custom Construction has expanded outside of Georgia and is now serving all of the Southeast. They continue to build custom outdoor structures, sheds, cabins & garages and have completed more than 4,000+ custom buildings to date.

Business Owner

Dustin has grown up loving to build and run his own businesses. From building neighbors tree houses with his Dad to now owning his own company, Backyard Custom Construction. Sarah joined the team this year after deciding to leave the corporate world and take on a new challenge.

Together, we are a husband and wife team and believe in high quality service to our customers. We also believe in paying and treating our employees right and feel that we have the great team to build your custom building!
