Backstreet Boutique

This is the best high-​end consignment boutique in Atlanta. Joey, the owner, is an amazing woman, very warm, funny and quite possibly the most fashionable woman in Atlanta. Brands range from Stella McCartney, the Row, Armani, LV, Gucci and the best… tons of CHANEL!

Backstreet Boutique was recommended to us by Linda at Le Dress, when we needed to consign some of the Boyfriend’s late mother’s designer duds that did not fall into the «special occasion» category. In one of the converted houses-​to-​businesses on Shadowlawn, Backstreet Boutique is run by a little, very Southern lady named Joey (and often, her sweet little canine companion).
Joey is polite and accomodating and sharp and funny. She’s accepted a vast majority of the pieces we’ve brought her. Unlike other shops, Backstreet stocks all seasons all year, Joey knowing that if an item is great enough, it’ll sell eventually. She’s always up for chit-​chat, and she personally assists every customer who walks through the door.
But better than all that, better than the cute little shop with the awesome collection, is that Joey knows her regulars and knows them well. The Boyfriend’s mother wore a size 4.5 shoe (if she wore a 9.5, I would have myself a new collection of Manolos, but c’est la vie.) We’ve brought Joey probably nearly 30 pairs of super cute, barely-​worn designer shoes that could fit your average 10 year-​old, expecting that many of them wouldn’t sell. But Joey called up the customers she knew with tiny feet, and lo and behold, the shoes began to move (pun intended).
The recession has us all tightening our belts, but if you still have a weird, insatiable craving for Prada boots, go let Joey hook you up. And if you’re looking to sell, Joey really, really likes Chanel. You should bring her some.
