Description

Specialties

Aviva by Kameel specializes in authentic Mediterranean food that not only tastes delicious, but is also amazing for your overall health and well-being. From freshly squeezed juices to in-house roasted coffee, hormone free meats and seafood to locally grown produce, we have something that even the choosiest eaters will enjoy. We have separate grill tops for meats and veggies, and plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Our produce is fresh, never frozen, and we exclusively use olive oil for all of our cooking and baking. Our food is sit-down quality at a fast food price. Try us out, and both your wallet and taste buds will thank you!

History

Established in 2012.

Opened on October 8, 2012, Aviva by Kameel is Kameel Srouji’s vision of how food should not only taste, but also make you feel. Named after his sister, Aviva literally means «spring» or «renewal.» Kameel has opened and ran other restaurants in the past such as Café Aviva in Midtown, and multiple Kameel’s Café locations in Colony Square, Perimeter Mall and Peachtree Center. Aviva by Kameel, however, is the first of it’s name and kind, but definitely will not be the last!

Kameel S.

Business Owner

Born in Nazareth, Kameel Srouji’s love for food began at an early age. He enjoyed watching his mother cook, and that enjoyment eventually blossomed into a passion. After immigrating to the United States at just 23 years old, Kameel worked in restaurants in New York and Canada, before opening his first restaurant, Café Aviva, in Atlanta. Since then, he has opened four different Kameel’s Café locations throughout Atlanta, provided countless caterings for athletes and celebrities alike, catered for the USA Men’s Olympic Soccer Team in 1996, and was chosen as one of three American chefs to participate in an elite seafood competition in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
