Awesome! I have done two certifications through them and they are great! Very professional.

The CPR course was really great! I loved how small the class was (8 people) and how laid back it was. Kiana is a good instructor too and made sure everyone understood everything. I will be returning every 2 years to renew my certification and recommending Atlanta CPR to everyone.

Ok. not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical when I booked the class from an independent instructor (I have previously only obtained licensure for free through my employer) and especially when it was located on one of the sketchiest streets in Atlanta. BUT, hey the location/​hours were convenient and the price couldn’t be beat (I researched others in the area, like American Red Cross). I completed the online portion which was an ‘official’ American Heart Association module, prior to skills check class. Note. bring the certificate to class but the receptionist let me email it to her. After looking at other Unilocal reviews and noting the confirmation email from Atlanta CPR, I knew the building was behind the Papa John’s that faces Piedmont Road. I found the building C easily but I drove around awhile looking for suite 355. FYI. it’s inside the building on the second floor. Park in front of the building C and there’s a stairway to the right. Because of that, I arrived on class right at the scheduled time and there was already a group waiting. The receptionist gave me some registration papers then I ‘experienced’ the instructor, Steven. Now this guy was full of energy, almost too much for 9:00 a.m. He was all over the place, cracking jokes. He waited only a few minutes to see if the last student would show up, and then promptly started the class. The class had the equipment needed (dummies, mouth guards, simulated AEDs) and it was all in clean, working order. We reviewed adult CPR and practiced several times, enough where he was confident we could all accurately demonstrate the skill. He played «Staying Alive» to remind us of the rate of compressions. We then moved to AED and rescue with ventilation bag and practiced those in rotation. He kept an eye on everyone, gave feedback of what you were doing wrong and had you practice until you were confident. In the middle of class, before he checked our skills off on paper, he went into a long story about him growing up in Miami or something like that. He said he had to keep us an hour so it was just filler. We got to child/​infant CPR and all practiced that many times. He once again kept an eye on us and critiqued us when needed. After that, he told another few crazy stories, some medically related (we were a Healthcare Providers group). He checked off on our Child/​Infant CPR skills on paper. At the completion of class right on time, we got our AHA CPR certification cards. He confessed all his crazy stories were to help us remember. He said we will be more likely to remember the class and what happened before and after his crazy stories (which were the skills we practiced) should we need to use CPR. I’m confident I won’t forget this guy and for that, I am grateful.

Great ACLS class!
Took the online test and return video demo with scenarios before I came in. The scenarios were really pretty challenging, but you can take this part over until you pass. You do need to know these scenarios/​algorhythms for ACLS, though. Just in case it takes longer than you expect, my recommendation would be to plan to finish this portion of the test a couple of days before you have to go in to get the online ACLS skills portion and test completed, as you don’t want to have to stay up late the night before to get this online part completed. (like I did-​LOL) It did take a good 8 hours to get through this part for me.
The in office class was FUN, very informative and not stressful. Our instructor Steven was great, gave many tips and reviewed the algorhythms with some good mnenomics. Class was from 9 am to about 12 noon. Highly recommend this class.

Last week, was my third time getting re certified for my CPR and ACLS at Atlanta CPR. Steven is an excellent instructor who’s years of experience show. He knows just which points to emphasis in order to get the most out of the class. His instructions have made me a better clinician and I am grateful for that!

It was a great class! I have been CPR certified before and he did a great job teaching it. Even it had been a first time for me it would have been a great beginners class!

Steven was a fantastic instructor. He made the class very funny and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this course to anyone. I took BLS but he also teaches ACLS which I’m sure is just as great. I also liked this location because you only do the skills at the site. The didactic portion is done at home on your own at your own pace. You simply print off the certificate when you are done. It’s offered everyday at 9−10am.

This is the BEST ACLS class I’ve ever had since being first certified in 1997! Steven is part Robin Williams, part David Alan Grier, part awesome instructor who not only teaches on a common sense level of understanding, but gives you the background for why we do certain things in ACLS. My face hurt after 3 hours of laughing at Steven’s anecdotes and method of teaching, and I came away with a brand new look and understanding of the whole ACLS process.
I hope this guy is still around in 2 years for my next recert, since the class was a better investment than a night at the comedy club. I will definitely recommend Atlanta CPR and Instructor Steven to all my cohort nurses as well. One word of caution: Don’t be late, or you’ll find yourself climbing in through the letter slot on the door. Did I mention Don’t Be Late? Don’t.
So, sign up for the online Part 1 American Heart course, pass that, then get yourself down to Piedmont and Atlanta CPR for parts 2 &3 and I assure you it won’t be disappointing: You WILL learn and you WILL laugh. That’s the way I always heard it should be. God Bless ya Steven!

As many have said before me, this was the best BLS class I have taken! I loved getting to do the coursework modules online and then spend an hour on the skills check in person. Steven is a fantastic, engaging instructor who has perfected the balance between humor and instruction. He made the BLS class fun, and taught it in a way that it would be hard not to hear him and «Staying Alive» in the back of your mind every time you do CPR! He didn’t spend a lot of unnecessary time going over extraneous information, which was excellent for a room of adults with already busy schedules. One hour, in and out!
I must also say that, as a new nurse, I greatly appreciated Steven letting me listen in on the ACLS class. I didn’t do the certification, but he still encouraged me to stick around and learn the valuable information. I feel so confident going into my first nursing job!!!

Awesome class! I was able to sign up for the online course & the one hour skills set at the center. It was very efficient & the instructor Steven was awesome! Plan on staying a little late, just FYI. But it was super fun & flew by! I’m used to super boring, go through the motions CPR classes. This was totally different; Steven gave us real life scenarios & anecdotes. I find that really helps with the learning process. Wasn’t planning on renewing my ACLS, but now that I’ve been to Atlanta CPR I definitely will!

Great class! Fun and to the point. I appreciated the fact that it was offered every day, my schedule can be difficult at times. As a dentist it is required that I am up to date with this and it is something I usually dread every 2 years. However, this class was nowhere near the usual and I left feeling confident. I think the online course also played a big part in my confidence, I enjoyed being able to go at my own pace and having the ability to make sure I was clear on each topic.

The class was tons of fun. I went in expecting to do a full, exhaustive test by myself in front of the group with little review in a high-​stress environment. It turns out we did everything together with the same or our own mannequins. The instructor was very friendly and outgoing. The class took about an hour and a half if I recall correctly.

The classroom was somewhat difficult to locate. Basically you go down the little street by Papa John’s, go past the first two buildings, park in a largeish lot, and then go to the top floor via stairs at either end of the ATLCPR’s building. You may want to allow an extra 5 minutes to your commute to account for this.

This class was great and the instructor was exceptional. I’d procrastinated until the last minute but was able to take the class quickly without hassle. I was also better able to grasp the information with the online learning followed by the hands on training format. The instructor kept things upbeat and got the students involved in the process — never a dull moment. I’m confident that I am well prepared.

I found out one Thursday evening that my BLS had expired and I would be suspended from work without pay until I renewed it. I was scheduled to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I needed my BLS as soon as possible. A quick search on Google revealed Atlanta CPR. They offer classes every day from 9am to 10am. I was able to sign up for class and do the online portion on Thursday evening and report to class on Friday AM. It was so easy and convenient I thought I had missed something. The building is kind of difficult to find– it is located in the «C» building directly behind the Papa Johns that faces Piedmont Rd NE.
The class itself was a little unorganized. There were supposed to be two staff members present, but only one showed up. There were about ten people in the class and the instructor did not start the class until everyone had shown up, which was around 9:30. Clearly, we were not able to finish the class by 10 am. Since there was inadequate staffing, the active learning fell a bit short as the instructor tried to rush through everything since people had other obligations to tend to and couldn’t stay after 10:00 — 10:30. I, for one, have taken CPR before and am ACLS certified so I wasn’t terribly bothered by the lack of active learning experience, but it seemed others could have used a little more attention. The one instructor that did show up was excellent, he was just handicapped by the large group and inadequate help. I gave them 4 stars because they made it so easy to get my BLS quickly and the instructor was so great despite the limitations. I usually feel awkward in these sort of settings, but he made me feel comfortable by being very personable and having a great sense of humor. I would not hesitate to return if I found myself in need of my BLS renewed in a hurry.

i loved the class and steven jackson was the best i will pass it on to all my friends in the medical field.
