I recently move to atlanta from nyc. In nyc there are an abunadce of afrocentric stores and i was worried that i wasn’t going to find a legit spot down here .Down to my last drop of shea butter and black soap I did a search on Unilocal and found this location. It’s a great place found a huge block of black soap and scented shea butter. They also have African art and clothing. I’m really excited that I found this spot

My wife encourared me to give the store 5 stars. A one stop shop for a variety of African items to include paintings, clothing, oils, soaps etc. Super display of jewelry(earrings, authentic Masai necklaces). It would be great if they offered a few more books. Overall wonderful experience for me and the family we will visit and shop here a few times throughout the year!

They have beautiful clothes. Bags. Etc . They have bad attitudes. No welcome when you come into there store. And their clothes are VERY overpriced. Just because your not from here doesn’t mean you have to act a way.

I just visited this store today. Gai was very personable and professional and very patient. I was the last person in the store and they were preparing to shut it down and did not rush me at all. I love he outfit I got for my mom, I got some raw Shea butter. Some delicious smelling oil for my skin and a fantastic African musical CD. I will be shopping here very regularly. Awesome store and friendly people!

Afrocentric Network has almost everything you might need except food! My fiancé and I visit often and are always promptly greeted. The owner is super sweet and very professional. They carry body products(shea butter, black soap, oils, cocoa butter, etc.), home décor(masks, drums, pictures), clothes, accessories, incense, burning oils, oil burners and so much more! If you’re looking for anything African related that’s affordable and good quality, Afrocentric is a great choice.

I must admit the store itself it THEBESTSTORE i’ve ever shop at for my dresses and other hygiene products like toothpaste soaps etc!!! They have the best bracelets I’ve seen and OMG there dresses are awesome! But the staff is NOT friendly I have been coming year for two years and the service has not changed, but their not going to detour me from supporting the this black owned company… I just wish I could talk to the owner and ask them to speak with the short haired african girl and tell her to get an attitude adjustment and stop being so americanize… when it comes to dealing with their customers! This is the reason for the 3 star!

I agree with both reviews prior to mine. This place is wonderful! The staff is friendly and the selection is impeccable. On some things, the prices could be better, but for the most part reasonable. Every time I go, I see something new. I am a huge fan of the shea butter, black soap and jewelry. The clothing is nice, but if you look closely, the craftmanship on some pieces is mediocre. I am not a seamstress, but I think I could make some of these pieces better with little practice. All in all, I love the shop and will continue to shop here.

Yo, where has this place been all my life? I’ve been living in Atlanta for just under 5 years, and had been a moderately frequent visitor in the years prior, but I have never ever noticed this shop! I needed to get some cash from the Wachovia next door. Once I had the cash in hand, I was compelled to venture into this establishment, because I’d never bothered to do so before. I’m glad I finally did! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a lovely woman who i presume is an owner of the shop. Shortly thereafter, I was greeted again by a gorgeous amazon, who was rocking some funky jewelry. I was delighted when she informed me that it was for sale right in this very shop! I have taken to making my own jewelry lately, due to being fed up with artisans trying to rip me off or just taking too long with pieces, so I was very pleased to see such an array of(insert your own adjective here) reasonably priced jewelry here. The jewelry is just the tip of the iceberg; there are reams of beautiful fabrics, clothing, body oils, incense, hair and skin care products, several different brands of black soap, as well as BULK black soap and shea butter, artwork, stationery, and typical African sundries here. Being the cheapie I am, I’ve been buying my black soap and shea butter in really large sizes online, and then I have to give things way so that they don’t go bad. Now, I can be assured to get lots of things I like for a reasonable price, and right here in my own neighborhood. Afro Centric Network has definitely gained a fan in me. The only reason I rated this establishment«Moderate» for the price range is because some of the home furnishings/art/drums can get pricey, but please consider the craftsmanship and the import costs. Otherwise, there are values galore.

Afro Centric is an enormous boutique that caters to African and African American culture. This store is a one stop shop for African linens, masks, statues, ornaments, artwork, apparel and accessories. Additionally Afro Centric has toiletries like raw shea butter, black soap, incense and oils. It’s so hard to find nice non offensive ethnic calendars, greeting cards and stationary. Thankfully Afro Centric has an array of these items that will make perfect gifts for my family members this holiday season. Whenever I go I feel like I’m at street festival in Brooklyn because they have it all. Sisters and Brothers Afro Centric is located in the West End Village shopping plaza directly across from West End Mall. Show them some love.
