Adore Hair Studio

I’ve been going to Grace (Haejin Kim) since 2012, she was working elsewhere (a place that shall not be named). Finding a stylist that «gets you» and you can trust is critical. It’s like finding the right gynecologist, you don’t just let anyone enter those zones.
I’m not high maintenance, but having a good looking head of hair is important to me. I like to go between blonde and brunette, and I need a cut that makes maintaining my thick, humidity-​hating hairs.
Grace «gets me.» I’m so committed to her work that I’ve moved to NC and FL in the past 3 years and I’ve continued to drive to Atlanta to make my appointments with her. My hair knows no boundaries or distance that could stop me from a good looking hairdo.
Grace is real; she won’t do something to your hair that she can’t stand behind; she wants to deliver a good product and service. She listens to what you want, but she knows when she needs to interject her education, knowledge, and experience to guide your decision. Grace and I are to a point that I go in and I don’t tell her what I want. She has me completely figured out. The day I decided I wanted to go blonde, before I could tell her that’s what I wanted, she was already prepping for it. She already knew.
If you’re one of the folks that is concerned about chit chat with a stylist, Grace is flexible. She and I share interests so we gab about TV and movies, but there are appointments where Grace can tell I’m tired (e.g., hungover) and she is down to keep the chatting low-​key. But, if you prefer to be chatty, Grace is a good listener and will never fail to give you a laugh or two.
Out of the 3 (almost 4) years I’ve been going to Grace, I have never walked out dissatisfied. I walk out feeling like I just had coffee with a friend, and got an excellent cut and color while I was at it. When she moved to Adore, I knew she found the right place to call her «work home» and I love the atmosphere Adore brings.
I know I just spent 15 minutes writing and editing a review for my stylist, but that’s because she’s awesome. Go have a coffee/​hair date with Grace, you won’t be disappointed.

Front desk called to let me know they had to cancel my appointment – a half hour before my appointment. Rescheduled me – called to cancel again. Pretty unreliable if you need to be looking your best for an event.

I see Kelsey C. at Adore and she is hands down the BEST stylist I have been to in my life. She is knows her stuff. She transformed my dirty blonde hair into a beautiful beach blonde with NO breakage and it is so healthy. She takes her time and is extremely detailed in her technique. It took two appointments to achieve the blonde I wanted and she was super flexible with my crazy schedule. She gets back to you right away when you contact her for an appointment and she has great advice and tips to help maintain my blonde in between appointments! She seriously won’t disappoint! Love her!!!

I’m always hesitant to try a new salon as blonde highlights can often be hit or miss. Kelsey Womack did a fabulous balayage (this was my first time and I definitely prefer it to foils). Overall pleasant experience at the trendy studio, as well. Great atmosphere!

I’ve gone to Kelsey Chlopecka a few times and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. She has always done an outstanding job and I always leave happy with the results. Her demeanor has been professional, yet down to earth, making me feel very comfortable. I feel so lucky to have finally found someone that understands exactly what I want!

Grace is great! I came in for a pretty big change– lobbed off about 5 inches– and she helped figure out exactly what I wanted and have a great cut! I’ll be back!

Went in with high hopes. Left with what looked like a full foil highlight with no low lights when I was wanting to go towards an ombré. I went back to have the stylist fix the brassy roots that were not lifted enough. I left the second time with still so much brass and yellow ends that I notified the stylist once again. She basically washed her hands of me, gave me a full refund of $ 300! and recommended someone else in the salon that could possibly achieve the results I was looking for. I am now in search of someone to fix what they screwed up and will have to pay for it. Sigh.

Great place and love Nichole Abad! She’s great at cut and color! I highly recommend going to her!

Fabulous salon!!! Kelsey Womack did a wonderful job on my hair and she was able to fit me in on short notice for both color and cut after Van Michael Highlands was insanely rude and unprofessional towards me. I will be seeing Kelsey at Adore from now on!!! :)

Jenn D. is the best! She gives such a great cut and awesome highlights. I have absolute trust in her… Such a hard thing to find! She’s also really fun to talk to and is always completely honest about what cut/​color will fit my face and complexion. I will definitely follow her wherever she goes. I highly recommend her!

Love Adore! Stephanie Kay Kolb (Inman Park location) has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. She is FANTASTIC. She is very well trained (and is always continuing her education on new techniques and products), creative, talented and tenured. For long or short, coarse or fine hair, she is exceptional. I have blonde highlights and I love how she truly matches the color to my skin tone so I do not get brassy! Stephanie also does outstanding updos. She is also just a blast to visit with during a cut or color!
I also want to offer accolades to John at the front desk; he is so welcoming to clients! He is funny and client service oriented. On more than one occasion, he has called me immediately when I left a recently purchased product at the counter.
The entire place has been renovated. There is a lot of room and a special beverage bar with water, coffee and sodas. They also offer complimentary wine.
You can book your appointment online, which is oftentimes very convenient.

I am new to Atlanta and was recommended Adore by a friend. I am blonde and my friend is not, so my tactic was to call the front desk and ask for someone who specialized in blondes. The front desk recommended someone and I stupidly assumed they wouldn’t steer me wrong. I will not name the stylist because I don’t think it’s nice to put her on blast, but it was a poorly executed highlight and even worse cut. I asked for long layers, but instead she cut choppy layers that will take 6 months at minimum to grow out and correct. The salon was gracious and professional and offered me a full refund, but I will not be returning. I will say, that I did see a lot of stylists around me doing really good blonde highlights and cuts, so I assume there is probably really good talent there, I would just say get a specific referral from a trusted friend or acquaintance.

I had made an appointment with Kelsey Chlopecka about a month ago for my hair explaining to her that I need it done this Monday since I am leaving out of town and she agreed for 3pm today so my husband and I drove out to Atlanta getting an email from her saying she’s too busy with family she can’t make it. I am not pleased at all this is very unprofessional. I would stay clear from her if you are planning to do business with her… She also an hour later posted a picture on Instagram being at the salon doing someone else hair the same time she was supposed to do my hair. Very disappointing to find something like that out.

I LOVE ADORE! I’ve been searching for a salon home for years and I have finally found my salon. Inside the salon is clean and modern. I was referred to Grace by a friend. I first went in for a haircut and Grace did EXACTLY what I asked. She also suggested on adding some highlights to brighten things up so I came in 2 weeks later for it and it looks amazing! Im a low maintenance girl so Im glad that even after 3 months, my hair still looks fabulous! I will be back and tell all my friends about Adore salon.

For months I had been mulling over what to do with my hair… and who would I trust to update my look? A trusted friend recommended Jamie M, I quickly and easily booked online and created a pinterest board of ideas… the salon is beautiful yet super comfortable and everyone i met gracious… Jamie quickly understood what i wanted and how to get me there, we even took before and afters! I LOVE what Jamie did to my hair, it is exactly what I hoped for! The response to my hair has been incredible! Not only did she do a great job she was fun to talk to! So happy I found her!!! I can’t say enough great things about her! :)))))

Jenn D is the best! I’ve followed her from other salons and she does my hair AND my moms. She is the best! She will make sure you love it, and just trust me… trust her!

I’m a fan of Adore Hair Studio because I’m a fan and devotee to my stylist Jenn D. She’s brilliant, fantastically talented, funny and down to earth all at once — everything you want it someone who deals with your hair, in my opinion.
I am so loyal to her in fact, and loyal because finding a stylist who can cut curly hair and make it look amazing is a rare and talented unicorn, that I followed her to Adore when she left her old salon for better hunting grounds.
When I went to Adore this weekend for the first time, I was impressed with it. Aside from the parking situation, which is just as hellacious in Inman Park as it is in the Virginia Highlands where Jenn was before, Adore is in a great spot. It’s almost directly across the street from Barcelona and Inman Perk in a new and trendy lofts /​retail building along with a nail salon, a florist, an organic grocery and a wine sommelier.
The inside’s very nice: bright, open, airy with products from Bumble & Bumble, Pureoloy and Moroccan Oil on display in the front along with some craft jewelry and knick knacks next to the seating area with magazines.
Unlike other salons, stylists move between stations instead of having one specific chair so they have the chance to interact with each other and other customers regularly and each mirror is marked up with sticky notes along the sides from happy customers proclaiming their love for their particular stylist. It’s a nice, homey touch and really adds some good (and free) PR for Adore. Very good idea, whoever thought of that.
As usual, Jenn did a fantastic job bringing my mane of curls back into order with her signature wit and style, and she blew it out to perfection — even in this humidity. She’s the only person I trust to straighten my hair without damaging it and it actually stays relatively straight until the next time I wash it.
In no time at all, I walked out with a new bounce in my step and a new appointment on my calendar for twelve weeks later. Adore may be a little further for me to drive than before, but it’s a very nice salon and I love Jenn to death, so I’m happy to make the trek and find the parking for her. Give it a go.

Yes, that is how I feel about Stephanie. She’s been cutting my hair for over five years at Van Michael and I can’t imagine going to anyone else. I cannot stress just how amazing Stephanie is, so I would be going wherever she went but I just *adore* my new salon as well.
Adore is super cute, modern, and low key by comparison to Van Michael. Trying to find parking on the street in Inman Park is less than ideal, but that goes with the territory. Really though I’m just thrilled that I can get my hair cut and colored by Stephanie now. She’s just as amazing at highlights as she is at haircuts. Added bonus that her new digs is right across the street from Barcelona, so you can go get a glass of wine while you’re looking like a hair model. Honestly I would have followed Stephanie anywhere, but I’m pretty excited that said salon happens to be Adore.

I hate to write a negative review about a hair stylist, because it always seems like a personal attack. It is such a personal experience having your hair cut, that it is often too difficult to ever say the slightest negative thing without feeling rude or cruel. However, I have decided to set aside my feelings on that and write this review.
Last week, I went to adore and saw Jessica for the first time. She is an absolutely lovely girl, and very nice to chat to. However, my haircut is less than stellar. I showed her a few pictures, and talked to her about my wavy hair. We discussed the length and she warned me that if we cut it too short, that it would be too heavy and thick in all the wrong places.
Long story short, that is what ended up happening. Now it is, as she predicted, heavy and thick in all the wrong places. It looks nothing like the pictures that I showed her, and it is totally unmanageable. It is especially perplexing, because she seemed to know that this was potentially an issue from the beginning, and did it anyway. At one point, she said that she wasn’t going to use the rolled brush on my hair when styling it since I wanted an edgier cut, and the rolled brush would not produce that. However, by the end, low and behold, she was using the rolled brush. I imagine it was because the cut didn’t turn out as she planned and she didn’t know what else to do. A rolled brush has no business being involved with an edgy hair cut, even I can gather that much.
Anyway, I am now going to continue my search for a new salon, and annoyingly I will need to pay for a corrective cut somewhere else. I am giving this salon two stars instead of one, because it is a nice salon inside, their appointment process is efficient, and Jessica really is a nice person (which makes me feel bad to even write this, but I do feel I need to voice my concerns).
