This place is indeed a scam. I went there for a quote on a broken air conditioner. They told me they would fix «a hose» that was disconnected for $ 800. After talking to a second mechanic to verify the problem I was informed that my Cobalt air conditioner isnt even designed with a hose. When I pointed out their error out to A&S Auto I was told to go to some other mechanic because they were too busy for me now. When a place gives an estimate about parts that don’t even exist on your car… run.

The majority of the reviews that you see on these really defines who they are. I can’t imagine how some people have given these guys a bad review. I brought my VW CC were most mechanics are hesitant to touch german cars. Mike and his team fixed the issue around overheating and also the timing belt. For both issues they kept the fees to low $ 1000 and my car is now running like brand new. Really owe it to these guys.

Never had to wait so long for an emission test. Felt like he put other races each other. And first come first serve doesn’t mean shit for Mike.

These guys really rock. I went in for first time and they were quick to determine problem, found cost-​savings solution, assessed my brakes while the car was on the lift and suggested that I had a bit more safe use before replacement.
Mike and I had a great visit during the repair. He seemed truly interested in me as a customer.
I will be back.

Just left here… and I received amazing service of honesty and care from this shop.
I was in this area for an interview and my car stopped… And it’s never done that before.. But I’m new to the area, just moved here so it quickly became a nightmare for me.
I finally found a shop that would listen… And it was Emil who answered the phone. He quickly became way more then a mechanic. Lol. I’m sure he didn’t see this coming! But I am forever grateful. He kept me calm, & since I was so close to his shop, he and another mechanic came to me, got my car started then took me back to the shop for a diagnostic tests.
He was honest with me… He told me that the amount of things wrong with the car that will eventually have to be fixed.. Cost more then the car is worth and that I shouldn’t put anymore money into the car… But instead I shld just use the amoutn of money it would cost to get another car.
My car drives fine, however the check engine light has been on for yrs… i have asked other shops abt it and they say it’s just an electrical thing due to my car being an Lt version of its model… but today… It was out of oil and it caused the engine to shut down. The oil light never came on, so I had no idea the oil ran out so fast.. He explained the problems with the engine light and what happened in result of the engine light never being fixed and all the problems that had occurred over time that I wasn’t aware of becuase of the check engine light never going off.. He even used car parts to explain my problems to me.
He could have clearly charged me for everything that was wrong and let me leave. But instead he educated me on the problems, told me my options then gave me his advice. Even the other lady in the weight room was like… «wow he was honest. He could have just taken your money». And that was so true.
He gave me an oil changed, a diagnostic test, and cleaned my throttle body. Now my car runs just like it did before. Fine… But I will def start looking for another car.. He is definitely reasonably priced!. I currently live in Marietta. But I will def travel there to get any car services that I’ll need from here on out!. You can’t go wrong with honesty, good pricing, ND great customer service! Great people!

These guys have been workingon my car for their last ten years. I’m a single woman with a sixteen years old car. With a limited budget, they always have great prices. my male friends are sureprised by they quality of work! I highly recommendthem to everyone! thanks guys!

I had my car towed there because of the good reviews on Internet, but it is a SCAM.
They overcharged me for a simple job which was the replacement of a thermostat on a Chevy Aveo… Not only they overcharged me but this thermostat broke after 3 weeks, and my car had then some overheating issues! I had to go to another place who found out that the thermostat was bad, and NOT a brand new!!!
When I went back to this place, they told me I was lying, and the other place didn’t change anything!!! The only thing they did was to refund me the bill of the other place who charged me 4 times less than them!!! What a great customer service!

They are always nice when you get there but become EVIL when you figure out they are scammers! Also, they tried to charge me for an additional work (replacement of the valve cover gasket) for a price higher than the dealership!

Very honest people. My transmission failed on the way to work and I stopped at this auto shop at the recommendation of my roommate who has used them many times and loves them. Mershad found that the transmission was completely busted beyond repair, and called numerous sellers for replacement transmissions, trying to find a good balance between price and extended warranty. He laid out all my options clearly. When I decided that it was not worth the repair, he showed me a car he had just fixed up for his wife, but she decided to get a new car, so he was looking to sell. When I decided against the car, he didn’t charge me anything at all, despite having spent an hour figuring out what was wrong with my car and discussing options with me. He didn’t even accept a tip. Very helpful, I would definitely go back.

These guys are fantastic. About 6 months ago I got my brake pads and rotors replaced. The back brake pads had burned out which created a squeaking sound. They showed me what the issue was and replaced them under warranty with no arguments. Great customer service and high quality work. I’d recommend them.

Super honest folks. I’ve had a lot of work done here and every time I’ve been happy. The last time I had my catalytic converter replaced and had an idle issue after. I brought it back and they made sure it was right and didn’t try to charge me an extra cent. I would highly recommend this place.

Just found my new Auto Repair Shop. I recently purchased a monstous Ford E450 Cutaway/​Conversion. A&S performed a «road ready» series of maintenance items for me. The vehicle needed a lot of work and the Owner (Emil) took pity on me and gave me a break on all the items I needed to have done. They looked it over front to back and now it runs like a million bucks. The prices were very reasonable and and the staff was very friendly and professional. Top notch organization — I highly recommend you check them out.

this is a place you can trust. dont pay for a fancy waiting room or storefront, Emil knows his cars and has a great price.
I had my radiator replaced, he let me buy the part and bring it in, no jacking up prices on parts like the dealerships.

My car had been making suspicious noises for awhile, but I held off on going to a mechanic, desperately hoping that the problem would subside. Since I know very little about the workings of cars, I was scared of being ripped off especially because I’m a girl. I read all of the reviews available for auto repair shops in my area and decided on A&S since it was one of the few open on the weekend with very positive reviews though not many reviews had been written for it. Emil took the car for a short trip and immediately diagnosed the problem as having to do with my brake pads, explaining to me in laymen’s terms. The price to replace/​fix them seemed very reasonable and my father who I spoke to over the phone also confirmed that the cost seemed fair. The problem was fixed promptly and thoroughly. My car is now squeak free! Overall, I am very pleased with the results. I highly recommend this place and will go there in the future for any maintenance/​car issues.

A&S Auto Service is one of the best places that I’ve found to take my car. Emil (owner) is extremely knowledgeable and one of the most trustworthy mechanics I have been to. I’ve taken 3 of my cars to him (Volvo s60, Volvo XC70 and a Toyota Camry) for the last 3 years. I’ve send my mom and a couple of friends his way and they too were impressed.
To put this review into context, I am getting married in less than a week and have a billion things on my to-​do list but these guys made such an impression on me this week that I felt compelled to knock this out…
This past week, the transmission in my XC70 was pulling and ultimately the car went into safe mode (it felt like it was stuck in neutral). Emil ran the diagnostics, spent a good ½ hour looking at my car, fixed a bulb in my headlight he notcied was out and told me that I needed to go to the dealer to get the software reinstalled on my car. He told me the diagnositc code to communicate to the dealer, how much I should expect to pay and sent me off when a total bill of $ 0. When I arrived at Dyer and Dyer, they were going to charge me $ 130 just for the diagnostic (yes, the same one that A&S did at no charge) +++. Net/​net, this is not the first example of the owner going out of his way to help me even though he didnt gain anything — I’ve had at least 6 examples of this type of kindness.
I went back today to have them detail my car (full under carriage, engine, inside and outside wash and wax for only $ 80 and they did a smash up job.
