For 12 years Charles Langevin helped taxpayers file their taxes and maximize their tax refund and/​or minimize their liability. He did this as a part-​time business while working a full-​time job as a bankruptcy paralegal, leaving little time to grow his business.

After working for bankruptcy attorneys and charging clients exorbitant fees for over 8 years, Charles Langevin started $ 249 bankruptcy in March, 2013 to help consumers facing financial hardship obtain relief under the bankruptcy code.

In January, 2014, Charles combined his tax business and his bankruptcy business under one banner and Simplified Document Solutions was born.

Since inception, Simplified Document solutions have helped hundreds of people obtain relief from millions of dollars in crushing debt for a fraction of the cost of the competition. We have also gotten hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax refunds and reduced the tax liability of hundreds of Georgia taxpayers.

Charles attended Clayton State University, graduating cum laude in paralegal studies while holding a full time job. He then went on to work for one of the largest bankruptcy firms in the United States for 4 years. Discouraged with the way clients were treated as just another case, he moved on to a much smaller firm, where there was a slightly higher emphasis on customer service. While this was better, he still felt that clients were being overcharged and not receiving the personal attention they deserved.

In 2013, he created $ 249 Bankruptcy to help clients obtain the relief they needed with the service they deserved. Desiring to combine his bankruptcy and tax service and offer more options to his clients, he partnered with a divorce paralegal and created Simplified Document Solutions-​$ 249 Bankruptcy.
