Richard was a cool dude. A little bit ago, one of the outlets in my room blew and I had no idea what the problem was and/​or how much it would cost. So I called a bunch of places and they weren’t very friendly and told me they would be charging a lot. Richard came over, he works out of his home, brought all the needed tools, fixed the problem, and it was significantly cheaper than the rest. Nice guy too.

Richard Moore’s card says he specializes in residential and commercial repairs, home inspection corrections, remodels, maintenance and general electrical services. That’s a lot of things to specialize in.
What I can tell you is that my landlady called Richard out to put in an outlet for the dryer. It seems that the previous tenants had never mentioned that there wasn’t a proper heavy-​duty outlet for the dryer. I can’t speak to pricing on his services, but Richard was certainly prompt. Originally, he told us that he wouldn’t be able to complete the job until the following Monday. The problem was that two previous electricians had flaked out on us and left us more than a week after a cross-​multiple-​states move with no access to laundry — and that would be yet another week with no dryer! When we mentioned this to Richard, you could see the mental wheels turning and he said he’d see what he could do. As of Wednesday afternoon, I had a working outlet for my dryer — a full half-​week before he expected.
The wiring and piping (as this was an outside of the sheetrock, in the garage job) look great, he checked the load on the breaker box panel and how the other outlets were loaded before he decided to add a breaker for the dryer. He left his workspace clean and worked around all of the boxes and things the movers left in my garage.
