Just got my first facial with Kelly aaaaaaand it was absolutely amazing. She is so sweet, so knowledgeable and really cares for your individual skin care needs. I couldn’t recommend Kelly more!

I loved my experience with Dr. Mehta so much that I am willing to post this very public review acknowledging my recent rhinoplasty and chin implant surgery. :)
I first found Dr. Mehta last December. I had been toying with the idea of a rhinoplasty since I was a teenager and my Roman nose grew in – you know the one: the bump on the top that makes you paranoid about getting your photo taken from any angle that isn’t straight-​on. I would get a consult from a plastic surgeon every few years (usually followed by seeing my nose in a particularly unflattering picture that would mentally stick with me), only to get cold feet committing to an actual surgery since I couldn’t wrap my head around the cost.
When I met with Dr. Mehta, he was kind, took his time in my consult, and really listened to what I wanted to achieve. I get the sense that if I had had unrealistic expectations, he would have been straightforward with me about it, but I simply told him I just wanted to come out with a result that gave me a nose people wouldn’t notice one way or another at all– versus being the first thing they (and I) saw. He took photos, examined my facial structure, and told me he thought we were on the same page about the end result and that he could help me. He mocked up a new nose for me in a Photoshop-​like program, and I remember thinking, «if this guy can achieve something even halfway close to that, I’ll be thrilled.» Given my particular facial structure, he also recommended a chin implant. I never had any issues with my chin, but several other doctors I had consulted with before him also recommended the same thing, so I figured he was right (and for the record, he totally was– my proportions would have been a bit off had I not done it so I’m glad I did, but he never ever pressured me to do both, it was just a simple recco). The quote I got from Dr. Mehta for the combined procedure was also very reasonable compared to some of the quotes I had been given by doctors in SF.
The morning of my surgery I totally freaked out– I had never had surgery before, and I was crying hysterically at the surgery center. Dr. Mehta, the amazing nurses in his surgery center, and his anesthetic partner (I forget the name of that doctor, but he was incredible) were amazingly soothing and took the time to calm me down beforehand (whatever the anesthetic doctor slipped into my cocktail probably helped too, but the entire staff was so patient with my freak-​out and made me feel really at ease). A few hours later, I woke up on the operating table and the nurses and Dr. Mehta told me I had done amazingly well. I was rolled out to the recovery room for about an hour before I was allowed to be driven home.
The next 3 – 4 days weren’t particularly fun, but overall I had such a smooth surgery process thanks to Dr. Mehta that my recovery was really straightforward. One night I was by myself and I had some slight concerns about something I was seeing– this was a few days before Christmas at about 10pmon a Saturday night, and Dr. Mehta instantly answered my page and called me back to talk me through my question. I had a cast on my nose for the first week I think, but as soon as I got home from the surgery center I could already tell there was a big difference because my cast sat flat on my nose.
A week later, I went back to the office to have my cast and stitches removed, and I remember my parents came with me and literally gasped when it came off– it was exactly, exactly the way he had mocked up the «goal nose» for me in our initial appointment, and to this day I’m still shocked that he was able, in my particular case, to achieve something so close to what we had talked about. It’s amazing.
Apparently when he got «in there» during surgery, he also discovered I had some moderate septum issues, which he fixed and now for the first time in my life I can breathe normally– I’m no longer a mouth breather when I sleep, and running is easier too. I cried on the way home, out of joy, from that cast-​off appointment when I realized I could really breathe.
I’m about 6 months out of my surgery, and my only wish is that I had done this 10 years ago. Dr. Mehta and his staff are awesome, and if you ever have any questions about my experience as one of his patients, please feel free to private message me– more than happy to answer them candidly!

I visited Dr. Mehta to have my deviated septum corrected. While there is no such thing as pain-​free surgery, Dr. Mehta and his staff made the experience as comfortable as possible. I found Dr. Mehta to be thorough in his assessment of my condition, attentive and pleasant to interact with. Several days into the recovery I experienced an issue with bleeding early the morning ~ 2am. I called Dr. Mehta on his cell phone and he promptly answered and took the time to help me quickly correct this condition.
I’m absolutely satisfied with the results, and would highly recommend Dr. Mehta to anyone in need of corrective surgery of this type.

Choosing this Dr was probably the worst decision I have ever made in my life. I had a septoplasty with costmetic rhinoplasty last April. I came into the consultation with x-​rays from my otolaryngologist to make sure he would have a clear understanding of where my septum was deviated. He said that he’d performed hundreds of similar operations and did not anticipate any trouble, and the surgery would take about 3 ½ hours.
My surgery started two hours late because the one he did before mine took longer than expected. I spent those two hours wondering if this was a bad sign while the nurses assured me that the Dr was simply a perfectionist and he was just making sure everything was up to his high standards. I should have listened to my gut and walked out. It would have been better to lose the deposit and have the procedure done by a competent surgeon than to go through this.
My surgery took more than 5 hours. I was vomitting blood afterwards and had 6 days of severe pain followed by several weeks of discomfort. The whole experience was a nightmare and nothing like what the Dr had described. But It would have been worth it if it had just accomplished what I paid for– a straightened septum and improved appearance.
A year later, my septum is still deviated and my nose looks terrible. He left a large bump on the bridge. He only cut one nostril, leaving me with an asymmetrical smile. And he sewed the columnella back together at an angle, leaving me with a nasty scar that looks like two warts on my nose. This is not the work of a «perfectionist». I can’t breathe through my left nostril and my nose looks terrible. Six months after the surgery I told him I was unhappy with the results and concerned that my breathing wasn’t any better. He admitted that my septum was not straight and claimed that it had been a much more difficult procedure than he anticipated, and offered me some scar gel and a shrug.
It is painful to have to write this review but I would not wish this experience on anyone. Save yourself a lot of wasted pain and suffering and see a surgeon who knows what they’re doing.

Dr Mehta did a great job on fixing up my nose, and especially with dealing with the aftercare as a result of my freakishly bad recovery.
For whatever reason I suffered horrific nosebleeds after the surgery but Dr Mehta came out on a Sunday night and worked until after midnight to cauterize the bleeding after I’d had a seven hour nosebleed. My recovery was terrible but this was literally a one in a million piece of bad luck and Dr Mehta was always available to answer my questions, see me in the office and help us through the process
So far, so good — my nose has some healing to do but I’m very pleased with the initial results

I got an amazing facial by Jill and fillers by Dr. Mehta a couple weeks ago and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. Jill really worked some magic on my skin. I haven’t had much facials in the past, but she was very informative about the type of treatments she was going to do on my skin. She did a pomegranate peel and within minutes, my skin felt tighter and extremely soft. If you live around Atherton, treat yourself to a service at Mehta Plastic Surgery, you won’t regret it.

Where to I even begin writing a review for Dr Mehta and his staff? This review is definitely over due! I had my surgery July 21, 2015. First, I’m going to start with the staff. Kelli is ALWAYS so sweet and on point with making appointments! She is fabulous at finding something that works with your schedule. Kaitlyn the nurse (sorry if I spelled that wrong) explained everything from my medication and the post surgery after care in great detail. She’s always nice and informative. Jill… oh Jill. How I love you lol. Jill does the billing, and man did she go above and beyond for me! Long story short, my primary insurance is kaiser, while my husband has Cigna insurance. So there was a huge fiasco with having to figure out how to Bill kaiser first then Cigna and getting an approval from Cigna first. It was literally right before I was suppose to have surgery, and this girl pulled through for me! I sincerely can’t thank her enough for everything she did to make sure I got my surgery. Thank you Jill!!! You’re the bomb! Sorry for all the headaches lol. Ok, now on to the ultimate rockstar Dr. Mehta. Ever since I first came to his office, I had a great feeling about him. He was so nice, patient, and answered all my questions. I felt so at ease! I had a septorhinoplasty, and from the minute I went in to surgery and till this day, was the best experience! I LOVE my new nose! And I can BREATHE! This surgery has changed my life! I feel soooo much better about my self! Even my husband was impressed with how tentative Dr. Mehta was. My husband is a worry wart, and called Dr. Mehta after my surgery to ask questions about bleeding etc and he would answer no matter what time! I think my husband called him at midnight the first night, and he answers his phone and all my husbands questions! I just can’t say enough good things! My first visit to Dr Mehta’s Office was in Jan 2015.
I went for a consultation with Katelyn for Dysport/​Botox for the lines in my forehead above my eyebrows. I had tons of questions and concerns since this was my first time doing anything of this nature. Katelyn was very knowledgeable and explained the whole process to me and what I should expect with Botox vs Dysport. Katelyn recommended to only do a small area as my case wasn’t too bad and didn’t need a full area. We started out with a series of before photos and a small amount of Dysport and Katelyn talked me through the whole process. All and all it was a very pleasant experience and Katelyn made me feel very comfortable. The outcome was very subtle and not over done, just what I wanted. I have also tried the Botox and love the results from it as well. I would recommend Katelyn to anyone who is considering this type of procedure.
I have gone back a couple of times since my first visit I always leave with a pleasant experience and a smile. Thanks Katelyn!

Dr. Mehta, fixed a problem which other cosmetic surgeons were unsuccessful in the Bay area.
I had nodules in my lips from a previous lip procedure I had done in 09 and have been trying to fix ever since unsuccessfully, until I found Dr. Mehta. I have to say he is the most skilled to perfection surgeon I have met and I have worked with many trying to resolve my issue.
His ability to tackle the problem and give me the results I desired for years with such ease are the true signs of a skilled surgeon. His bedside manner is professional and personable which is also hard to find especially, at that level of expertise.
He is cool, calm, collected because he is confident (now I know why) and I trust him to do any procedure on my face if I needed it in the future.
In fact, he also does my botox and lip injections now which I have had done by the best around the country although, he will now be doing mine from here on out. He is an expert and artist and you really can’t go wrong and will be sure to get the results you are looking for.
The esthetician Jill, is also fantastic at any of your facial needs. I go to her for my facials and peels and trust her suggestions with those as well as products that are making a difference, finally!
She has had extensive training and I let her guide me in to what is best for the overall appearance of my face.
These two get an A plus rating from me and my loyal business because they truly are the best in the Bay area. I now know where my happy home is when it comes to anything NECK AND FACE. Thank you so very much!

I was recently referred to Dr. Mehta for Botox for my eyes and forehead, seeing my age is beginning to shine these days. –With phenomenal results I had to write a review sharing my experience.
I was able to book my appointment without having to wait a long period of time, flexible scheduling and the gals that work there were really helpful and sent me a reminder which was perfect for my busy schedule.
I was scared at first but Dr. Mehta was considerate and let me know when I’d feel each pinch. Went wayyyy smoother than expected. And the results lasted a little over three months. I look well rested and my face looks better without makeup. (I thought I’d never say that)
That being said I began to try out other services they offered as well.
I started to do facials and peels with the esthetician there Jill. I did a peel for the first time there and my face was bright red! Looked more painful than it was and my face was amazzzzzing afterwards. Even though I explained to Jill I was hesitant and no was no she Gave me the knowledge and background of why it would be beneficial in the long run. I go for peels every 5 weeks now! Thanks Jill!!!
A reliable and educated staff is what you will experience at this office. Their all in the perfect line of business, I’m excited for my facial next month! :)

Overdue review… My first visit to Mehta clinic was in March earlier this year, following with a second visit in October.
Staff:
My first visit went extremely well. Receptionist and the esthetician Jill were very inviting and friendly. Dr. Mehta was very professional and personable as well.
Clinic:
The office, waiting area, and patient rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. It had a very warm feel from the moment I walked in. Parking was easy — which is always convenient.
Appointment:
My first appointment he started with some photos of my face since I was there for lip enhancement. I like that he suggested a half syringe since it was my first time. The result was awesome and I was very pleased with the final outcome! I think it’s important to not feel pressured to do more just because you’re there… he had a very pleasant and patient tone suggesting I could always add more without overdoing it on my first visit.
Second appointment was for lip enhancement as well. I was so comfortable with the first procedure that I decided to go ahead and try a bit more. (I was going for the Kylie Jenner & Jennifer Stano look.) He did a full syringe this time and I absolutely love my results!!! I get compliments on my lips often with or without lipstick.
If you are looking for a cosmetic surgeon I highly recommend Dr. Mehta. You won’t be disappointed. Results were awesome! I look forward to my future visits and I definitely know who to go to if I’m ever interested in other cosmetic services.

I want to thank Dr. Mehta for his incredible work. He has been wonderful through the entire process. He far exceeded my expectations. I had met with several cosmetic surgeons in the Washington D.C. area and wasn’t able to decide who I should choose to correct my nose until I met Dr. Mehta. He was referred to me by a closed family member. Since Dr. Mehta and I live in a different time zone, I was hesitate to contact him at first, but I am so glad I did. After my initial email, I found it so effective, efficient, and easy to execute the procedure, from sending him pictures of my nose (using my camera phone) and letting him know how I wanted to modify it, to getting suggestions from him on how he could even make it look better based on my facial structure. He and his team worked around his schedule to accommodate me as soon as I landed. His staffs are phenomenal in suggesting me where to stay during my visit. I am so delighted with the result. I got so many great comments from my friends and family. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mehta to anyone for his or her plastic surgery needs.

Have had a wonderful experience here! So much so, that I keep coming back. Dr. Mehta and his entire staff are both talented and exceptional people. I have recommended them to both friends and family.
When I first came in, I wasn’t sure what I needed. At 40, aging was starting to show. No matter how much green juice, yoga, and sleep I tried to incorporate into my life, the inevitable bags under the eyes, crows feet, and even slight jowls were starting to form.
I had done some research and gone to an injection demo at SkinSpirit. Initially, I thought Ultherapy may be a good approach to tighten everything up. I gained a lot of trust from Dr. Mehta’s office when they told me they didn’t offer Ultherapy because they tested it and didn’t see consistent results. I like that they only offer services that they are confident will work with a high degree of reliability.
In January, I tried my first aesthetic procedures. I began with Botox (piece of cake, with immediate results) and Sculptra (the most natural way to boost collagen). Dr. Mehta has a great visual sense. He added to high cheekbones and temples to lift everything ever so slightly with a natural look He even added a touch of Sculptra to my chin, reducing a slight sag I was starting to see under my jaw. Side note: If you do Botox with Kaitlyn, you can save $ 50, and she does an awesome job.
Fast forward a couple of months, I tried Cool Sculpting with Kaitlyn. This is the weirdest, but most amazing technology. It freezes fat cells so your body gets rid of them naturally. No surgery or down time needed. Just requires taking a morning off as the cooling process requires a couple of hours. I saw excellent results in flattening a slight muffin top and getting rid of extra lbs on my hips (which I’ve been self conscious of my entire life). Now, if only Cool Sculpt designed a longer freezing panel for my thighs.
Most recently, I braved a Restylane injection to get rid of the bags under my eyes. Restylane is a soft filler with chemistry similar to that of cartilage. Injections have always given me the heebie jeebies, but near my eyes made me even more nervous. As Dr. Mehta said, «this is natural. Cave men who weren’t afraid of sharp objects near their eyes probably didn’t survive long» ;-). Turns out this was the easiest of all procedures. There are no pain receptors near the tear troughs under your eyes. There’s just a bit of swelling. But, if you go in on a Friday, you’ll look normal again by Monday morning.
Special kudos to Kaitlyn for her care, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond! She talked me through every procedure, letting me know what to expect every step of the way, and answering a million questions. She has a depth of nursing and aesthetics knowledge and exceptional communication skills. Her professionalism and attitude are equally exceptional. Kaitlyn rescheduled her afternoon off to let me do an extra round of Cool Sculpting. She also gave me one of her own V8 juices when I got faint during an injection!
Additional kudos to Kelly, who is also amazing. She manages the scheduling and is the first person you’ll likely speak with when you call for an appointment. I’ve seen her swiftly schedule a complicated set of mother-​daughter appointments while fielding a patient call.

Dr. Mehta is great! I go to him for fillers and botox. He is always very considerate with your concerns, and will work out the best course of action for you. He has injected filler into my under eye/​tear trough to soften the line of my under eye bag. This is a more complicated site of injection and caused some minor swelling and bruising the next day. I left a message on the website for him over the weekend, and he called me on his cell phone on a Saturday to address my concerns. What a nice person!(especially considering he has a two year old at home)
I have been very happy with all of the treatments that I have received, and he is more than willing for you to come in to make any minor adjustments if you desire. He is truly a perfectionist and always careful to not make you look overdone.
Somehow he has managed to give me the facial structure that I have always wanted just with filler, and I was much happier with the botox results that I received from him when compared with other injectors.
Also, his prices are also very reasonable despite being in Atherton and providing superior services.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Dr. Mehta and his staff are awesome and super friendly. Dr. Mehta is very knowledgeable and I really liked that he is a double board-​certified, Beverly Hills-​trained specialist in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. So, not only can he make your nose look great, he can also make sure it functions properly.
Dr. Mehta is also great with follow up. After my initial consultation, he sent me the details of my surgery and explained that I could email him if I had any questions or concerns. I ended up emailing him before and after my surgery and he would always get back to me in a timely manner.
Scheduling my surgery was fast, I was able to get in about 3 weeks after my initial consultation. Jill sent me the breakdown of what my insurance was going to cover vs my personal portion. My surgery went really well and follow up appointments were easy to schedule.
I also wanted to mention, don’t let the fact that his office is in Atherton make you think his rates aren’t competitive — they are. Not like an office I called in San Francisco when the appointment setter said to me «just so you know, the doctors rates for a revision rhinoplasty START at $ 10K». Yikes.
All in all I am completely satisfied with the care I’ve received from Mehta Plastic Surgery. If you have any questions, please reach out to me — I’m happy to answer any of them.

It’s been 3 months sincd my surgery with Dr. Mehta. I am very pleased with my experience and the results. As the other reviewers have expressed, Dr. Mehta is highly skilled with a wonderful bedside manner.
The staff is great too. I worked with Jill on scheduling, billing and insurance ceverything went smoothly. I continue to see Jill for facials and I’m always pleased. I always enjoy visiting the office. They make you feel welcomed and comfortable.

Recently Jill and Dr. Mehta bought in the micropen. OMG this is the holy grail of all holy grails! I’ve always been very satisfied with Jill’s Cosmedix facials. My skin has been tighter, brighter and my pores were less apparent. But with this micropen which is very similar to the dermapen, my large pores/​acne scars are finally becoming less shallow and disappearing! I’ve only done two treatments and I totally see my pin head scars going away!!! After 10 years of scrubs, extractions, serums, finally something that works!
Disclaimer: it hurts and for some like hell, but I am super excited for my next treatment.
Please google dermapen or micropen to check out the results. I can’t stop saying great things about this!

I can breathe again!!! Oh, and I can smell food again, my pain is gone, and did I mention that I LOVE MY NOSE!!! I don’t think I have ever said that before…
Dr. Mehta is awesome. Seriously; if you are considering reconstructive/​facial work, go to him. After two surgeries, I was a bit apprehensive to do another one, but I was positive about my decision and outcome with Dr. Mehta, and I was totally right! I got my cast off and stitches out today, and besides all the swelling, it looks AMAZING! Already so much better than I had hoped.
It already looks like the result I had hoped for, and I have swelling. I am so happy. Dr. Mehta is such a nice, skilled surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
