We specialize in anything cycling. We carry Trek, Raleigh, Niner, Seven Cycles, and Mirraco bikes. We repair all makes and models of bikes. We have a professional fit studio in house to handle all your fitting needs.

History

Established in 2001.

Brian Molloy is the owner of The Hub Bicycles. He has been involved in cycling since he was 13. Brian has raced bikes for 26 years. He has worked in bike shops since he was 15. Brian was the head mechanic for the Jittery Joes Pro Cycling Team for 5 years. The shop has recently moved into a bigger building right across the street from it’s original location.

Best bike shop in town, I was shopping for a new bike and after looking and riding different ones I settled on a trek or a raleigh. Patrick was very helpful and showed me both bikes and gave great info on both. After riding them I chose the Raleigh and have been very pleased with it. This was by far the best buying experience I’ve ever had. Thanks Patrick and the whole hub staff.

Cute little bicycle shop in Athens. I couldn’t find the entrance at first, actually, because the sign outside makes it seem like the store is a part of/​directly connected with Half Moon Outfitters. But all you have to do is go downstairs, and then you’ll find it.
Store has semi decent selection; I had come to buy a little bell for my bike. Staff is also fairly knowledgeable; one staff member was certainly able to answer some questions I had about buying a mirror for my bike (helmet vs. direct attachment to handlebars). However, I’m going to guess that you’ll probably be able to find better prices online somewhere.
Overall, a good, friendly, experience especially considering I was wearing my GT fleece. (In fact, the cashier commented that I was «brave» to be wearing that jacket there!)
