Super 8 Athens

Stayed here and was rudely woken up at 1030am when it was clear that I had at least until 11am but had also talked to the person up front when I checked in to stay till 12pm! I had a sign on the door too and they still knocked! When I opened the door the house keeping lady acted like I was lying to her! Either way I had till 11!
Got ready and all that, when I got out I realized the clock I. The room was a half hour ahead. Kinda laughed to myself «they’re probably doing that on purpose!» But no! After getting my things together and started to leave I noticed every click set ahead! So In other words they run by their own time, don’t let them rush you, and give them all the attitude in the world if they do this to you bc they know what they’re doing.

Would give 0 stars if that was an option. The customer service with this hotel is seriously lacking. I had questions about cancelling vs. transferring my hotel room for homecoming weekend and the manager was rude, talked over me, literally raised his voice at me, and basically told me my requests were unreasonable. Accidentally booked a smoking room online (didn’t have any indication that it was a smoking room when I booked) and when I called to try to change it to a non-​smoking room, he yelled at me and told me not to «click click click» through the online reservation and it was my fault and I was stuck with a smoking room. I told him that I take full responsibility for booking the smoking room and was just asking to switch it and he wouldn’t let me finish a sentence without cutting me off and telling me it was my fault. Very unprofessional.

A great place to stay when visiting or passing through. The price cannot be beat! The hotel is CLEAN! The staff is attentive and courteous!!! I plan to make the Super 8 in Athens my hotel of choice when I return to God’s Country of Athens County.

This hotel deserves no stars I had the worst experience of my life here. I had booked this hotel through Expedia and the rate that I was quoted including tax was not the rate the hotel gave me… and they refused to let me cancel my reservation and would not honor the Expedia price. I was treated very badly and the young girl with brown hair behind the counter was mocking me and making fun of me after making me wait one hour to check in! For example when I called my fiancé to let him know what was going on, I was speaking to him she was interjecting, laughing and interrupting my conversation! When I asked to speak with the manager they told me that he was out of town in England… «he is Indian like you too»… I said that is irrelevant and has nothing to do with what we are talking about. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The room was not up to par and you have to call to have your air conditioner activated… I fixed the HBO channel on the television by unplugging everything and having to whack the TV… save your money go anywhere else but here!

The man and woman running this place was rude. It was dirty rooms, and the ‘security’ guy was a little creepy. We would have left if everyone else wasn’t booked.

Spoke to an Assistant manager named Roger and he was extremely rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone just based on my communication with Roger.

Booked me in a smoking room. Didn’t even know they still existed. Felt like I walked into an ashtray. Owner was not helpful, yelled at me and would not let me finish a sentence.
Just be aware when booking if they put you in a smoking or non smoking room.

Friendly service, on a busy weekend here in Athens we searched high and low for a room… Super 8 gave us a reservation, held our room, AND gave us a Great price! The room exceeded our expectations… with a jacuzzi tub, King size bed, refrigerator, and served breakfast (fresh waffles). The room was very clean and neat. Staff were friendly and accomidating. Yes, the hotel is next to a towing lot, it is far from the noise in town and quiet. Rest well at this Super 8 !

Paid $ 79 and got about $ 29 worth of value. The hotel is dingy and next to an impound lot. I guess you sorta know what you’re getting when you stay at a place called «Super 8.»
Giving this place two stars only because there weren’t any bed bugs.
