This is the WORST nail salon I’ve been to! I have been there several times in the past and my nails have lifted and gel has peeled off, but despite this I went back today to get my nails done for a special event. This was by far the worst experience and I will never be returning! Issues I encountered: 1) Women who walking in, after my friend and I, were started on first even though we were already seated 2) When soaking my nails the technician used cold water which didn’t help loosen the cuticles 3) The worst part was when she used the cuticle cutter she cut an entire chunk of my skin! It bled for all 55 minutes that I was there! Despite the technician’s efforts to use some solution to stop the bleeding it wouldn’t stop. The solution she was using made the cut burn a lot and it was uncomfortable and painful! 4) It wouldn’t stop bleeding so she couldn’t even finish the manicure 5) She put a bandaid on the finger and told me to come back another day to get my nails painted again 6) When I went to pay I said that I wouldn’t pay for the nails today because of the poor service 7) We asked the receptionist if he would write on a piece of paper that we could come back for the polish 8) He said no, that I could only come back to get that one nail painted This is ridiculous if I am not able to come back tomorrow why would I come back for just one nail?! 9) The receptionist talked to one of the technicians and they both began to laugh to which I politely asked what was so funny 10) His entire demeanor changed when I asked why he was laughing at me and very sternly said that he thought it was ridiculous I was asking for it in writing because they would surely remember me even if I was to come months later 11) Doubtful, I said I still wanted one just incase and that it should be for just regular nail painting nothing fancy to make up for this incident 12) He stood up and in a full fledged yelling voice said«it was a mistake! have you never make a mistake! we cannot compensate you for a mistake!» 13) He continued to say«we aren’t going to give you another free manicure, you aren’t being charged today!» But today they didn’t even finish my manicure today… why would the technician lady promise something that wasn’t discussed and that they didn’t deliver and she was standing there during this whole drama and didn’t say anything! 14) I was not only dumbfounded but absolutely in dismay! He was yelling so loudly that all customers and technicians were looking at us. If it helps put into perspective I considered calling the cops, that’s how loud and violently he was yelling at not only me but also at my friend who was accompanying me 15) He only wrote me a paper for a single nail and threw the pen down on the desk in his anger and I left extremely disappointed and upset I should not be yelled by anyone there — as a customer I will never go back there to be treated so disrespectfully after already being physically hurt by the technician!

Now I have a TON of hang nails from when the girl nipped my cuticles. I would have preferred she just push them back and didn’t nip them!

This is definitely the best nail salon in town. Lisa does an awesome job with my fill-ins and is always patient when I can never make up my mind on color. I’ve gone through shape trends, and she listens and does exactly what I ask for every time. I also prefer«thinner» acrylic, and she always delivers! I usually have a different person every time I get a pedicure, and they’re always great. There are three types of pedicures, and the«middle» one is wonderful. They do a scrub rub and bring out the hot towels. I almost fall asleep every time. Pricing is good here, and the people are great!

When doing a manicure, they took a huge gash out of my skin with the cuticle cutters. I don’t recommend unless you want to have a deep wound.

This salon is so nice, and the cliental is quiet, if you no what I’m getting at. They do very good work, and you truly feel relaxed when you leave. When you enter the salon, the staff isn’t yelling, «How can I help you» from across the room.

This place is beyond horrible. We had an appointment made and they served a group of 5 before my friend and I when they didn’t have an appointment. They also finished my mani and pedi within 30 minutes! It looked fine at first, but when I went home I realized that for a couple of my toes, the edges of the toes weren’t even painted! Don’t be fooled. There are better places to be.

I went hiking and stuff in Helen a couple of days prior to coming here with my wife. She wanted to get a pedicure so I told her I would hang out. She signed me up for one anyway so I sat back there with her. I just want to say those chairs they have are awesome. It was a great mechanical massage and my back needed it. My wife says they did a good job otherwise, but I am not a great judge in that sort of thing.

Nice, clean place and the staff has a great attitude. However, I get gel nails and both times I went my nails only lasted 1.5 weeks. They would start peeling and cracking. I’m used to my nails lasting at least 3 – 4 weeks. Highly recommend for a pedicure though!

I came here because of the great reviews and I left disappointed. I went in for a gel manicure and one acrylic tip on my pinky finger. The nail had split horizontally high up(almost to the nail bed) and I wanted to cover it to prevent further splitting. When I sat down, I told the nail technician this and asked if she would select a tip that was wide enough to cover my whole nail. She remarked that all of her customers were picky, put a tip that was too small against my nail, and picked up the glue. I told her I though it was too small and her response was, «do you do nails?» as she glued it to my finger. Once glued, she realized it was in fact two small, and in one swift motion, she tried to literally rip it off. The acrylic tip tore in half, and with it, my natural nail tore and I started to bleed. She apologized, and immediately dunked my finger in nail polish remover(that, to an OPEN nail bed, BURNED like hell). Had I not been with a friend, I would have left. She then painfully drilled off the remaining half of the tip(after 3 sessions of drill, dunk in acetone, drill, dunk in acetone) and caused my finger enormous pain. She glued a one size larger tip on and even though it also was not the size I requested(I wanted it to cover my WHOLE nail width) I said nothing to avoid further finger torture. Towards the end, she asked me how I wanted my nails filed. I told her I wanted them«square rounded but not oval» [my exact words]. She filed them all oval and left one substantially longer than the others. When I asked her to file the last one to the same length as the same finger on my other hand, she told me to stop looking at my other finger nails and that she knew what she was doing. Needless to say, I left with oval, unsymmetrical nails. My friend has a great experience with her nail technician and from what I read, many others usually do. I wish mine had been better.

Recently moved to Athens and had a hard time finding a place I like. Ive been here 3 times now and have been happy each time. I thought coming first thing as soon as it opens os better but I was surprised as how busy they were… good thing :) Ive had Lisa all three times and I like her, shes very considerate and does a good job. I definitely recommend this place. The only that is a bit of a drawback is that I feel that there color selection is a bit limited to other places. But don’t let that hold you back :)

Seriously, this is the best nail salon I’ve been to. Brian and Lisa have both helped me in the past, and both times they took their time to make sure my nails were absolutely perfect. When I left, they looked better than I ever thought they could. I’m not exaggerating. Every nail was shaped perfectly, and every part of my nail had polish. I can’t say this is always the case at other places I’ve used. Even when they are busy, they make sure to take their time and not rush through it. It’s my new usual place — it should be yours, too! :)

Such a nice nail salon. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Everyone is so sweet. They are understanding. Linda is amazing. She’s very gentle when doing acrylics. She never once burned me, never squeezed my fingers hard. She is so sweet. I definitely recommend this place and asking for Linda!

Had my acrylics taken off here and a gel manicure done! They are very nice and really know what they’re doing. They have been here for 14 years and seem to have a lot of loyal customers, gets a little busy sometimes though! Ask for Laura if you are going to make an appointment!

This used to be my go to nail salon when I couldn’t get in at arbor. Not anymore. I went and the guy doing my pedi was super pushy and kept trying to make me get all these things and I kept declining I just wanted a moment to relax. Then the girl that did my nails really messed up the chevron design. I went home and did the design a million times better and I don’t even do nails. Just don’t go here. I’m so disappointed.

I went here for the first time with my daughter on Mother’s Day. I got a simple manicure & she got a French manicure. They were great! The atmosphere was very clean and relaxing, with great lighting, color and music. ‘Spa’ like, unlike most, if not all of the nail salons I’ve visited over the years. Friendly staff too.

Best nail salon experience I’ve ever had! My experience started with me walking in, picking up a bottle of nail polish and then promptly dropping it, shattering it all over the floor and sending bright red paint flying everywhere. So there was that. The staff was so sweet though and did their best to make me feel less embarrassed and one even cleaned the polish off my shoes for me! In addition to being super kind, I got the best pedicure I have ever had. They have three levels of spa pedicures, I went with the mid range one for $ 28 and my feet looked great! The cheapest option was only $ 20 which is one of the best deals for a spa pedicure I’ve seen. My nail technician was named Kimmie and oh my that woman can give one good foot massage. I would definitely recommend Serenity and will be returning in the future!
