It’s New Year’s Eve. 5:50 PM. Dark, cold and raining. Shop closes at 6:00 PM. I walk in and ask if there’s any possibility of getting an oil change. Manager hesitate about a split-​second, and then…
Sure! Bring’er on in. Work begins immediately and the oil is changed, filter changed, tires rotated, fluids topped up and I’m out in no time at all. I’ll be back. By the way, just as I was leaving I remembered that Ace, the manager, used to assist me about fifteen years ago out at Tires Plus on College Station Road. Interesting to note that their ratings have gone down since Ace left.

I’m a recent grad of UGA, and have gotten my oil changed at Precision Tune for the past few years. They’ve always had very reasonable prices, and have always been very professional and polite.
One day, I was about to make a long drive to south Georgia, but I started hearing a wierd click/​crunching noise in my front drivers side hub. I took it to them near closing time, expecting them to have to replace some significant part (which would have resulted in me not making the trip). I explained the problem, and I got to watch as one of their mechanics extracted an errant bolt from inside my shield for my disk break. Problem solved, free of charge, even though I insisted on paying.
They could have very well turned me away, or have tricked me into believing it was a more costly repair than it was. Because of this incredible experience, and many more, they have a reliable customer for years to come.

I used to live in the apartments next to this place behind the Fresh Market, so I would see this place all the time. I drive a Honda that’s still under warranty, though, so I never figured I would need to visit this place. Then one day I got my oil changed at the Honda dealership in town. When the service associate returned, he gave me my write-​up sheet and told me my brakes were all down to 3 mm and it would be around $ 400 to replace them all. I figured since the brakes aren’t covered under my extended warranty I would shop around. I called Precision Tune to see what they charged. The guy who answered the phone was called «Ace,» and he told me I should drop by and have them look at the brakes just to see if they really were that low. The price he quoted was gonna be about 25% cheaper than the dealership, so I dropped the car off and told them to just go ahead and change them if they needed it. About an hour and a half later I got a call from the shop saying they had replaced the front brakes but the back ones were fine. This shop had every reason to rip me off and didn’t. I had already told them the dealership said the back brakes needed replacing, and they could have just lied and agreed and taken my money. The money they left on the table by being honest with me was a solid investment decision. Any non-​waranteed service I need will go through them from now on. I highly recommend them. Also, look for their coupons in the local super saver booklets.
