The Larry Baumwald Insurance Agency was established in Athens, Georgia, in 1974 and has since grown into a full-​service insurance agency serving the needs of its customers primarily in Athens, Commerce, Jefferson, Waktkinsville, Bogart, Madison, and Greensboro. We provide business insurance, car/​auto insurance, health insurance and other services to over 4,000 individuals and businesses in the Northeast Georgia area.

Business Owner

Larry Baumwald is the president and owner of Larry Baumwald Insurance Agency. Larry graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in marketing. He has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. Larry works with all sides of the agency including both personal and commercial lines. With over three decades of service, Larry’s expertise speaks for itself. As an Athens resident for even longer than his insurance career, he is dedicated to the community and loves living here. Larry’s interests include world travel, reading, and following his children’s activities. He and his wife, Sandy, have three children Keith, Erica, and Scott.
