History

Established in 2010.

Halcyon Hospice, based in Atlanta, Georgia, was launched by an experienced team of healthcare leaders in 2010, and in 2011 Halcyon acquired two Atlanta-​based hospice providers: Altus Healthcare & Hospice and Compassionate Hospice of North Georgia.

The rich history and quality care of these established providers formed a solid foundation of care in Georgia. In addition to home-​based care, Halcyon provides inpatient hospice, hospice in facilities, crisis care, palliative care and bereavement and support services.

As we continue to grow, we will be expanding throughout the southeast United States. At Halcyon Hospice, we truly believe that terminally ill individuals deserve to live pain– and symptom-​free in the company of family and friends.

Meet the Business Owner

Dan K.

Business Owner

Dan is a healthcare executive with over 30 years experience leading public and private healthcare companies.

Dan served as CEO of two home health-​related companies-​Pediatric Services of America and Housecall Medical Resources.

He led all business activities for the entrance of Equifax into the Health Information market, focused on transaction processing, database development and performance measurement for physicians, managed care organizations and employers.

Dan served as COO for a leading respiratory and DME company as well as president and COO of a provider of home infusion services.

Dan began his career with American Hospital Supply Corporation in 1978, following graduation from The Citadel with a degree in business administration.
