Five Points Chiropractic

I’ve been coming to Dr. Huppert’s office for nearly 3 years and have nothing but good things to say about it! Dr. Huppert is a very experienced, knowledgeable doctor who is results oriented. I used to have constant headaches and frequent migraines, and now rarely ever get a headache (if so, it is sinus/​sickness related). I trust him with the health of our kids. They’ve never had a single ear infection, case of colic or GERD, or had to take any medicine since being under care from birth.
My husband’s story is even more amazing: for the last decade, my husband would break out in hives all over his body for no apparent reason. He went to doctors, allergists, and had countless tests done that were inconclusive. His doctor prescribed Zyrtec (an anti-​histamine) to take daily to avoid the hive breakout. If he missed just one dose, he would break out again. A few months into his care, he forgot to take his medication and a year later, he hasn’t had to look back. Just as Dr. Huppert educated us in the office, the body was able to heal itself of nerve interference!
The care plans are very affordable, especially since our insurance has lousy chiropractic coverage and no out-​of-​network coverage. We never get any bills in the mail or surprises. Everything related to payment is spelled out in advance so we know exactly what to expect.
The office atmosphere is warm, caring and fun. There are often fun events that the office has throughout the year for their practice members, and my family has enjoyed them.
While the office does have Christian scripture on the wall, I’ve never heard anybody proselytize.
If you are looking for results, this is definitely the place for you!

I have had lower back issues on an off the last few years, I know my body well enough to know when I need a preventative adjustment. Being new to town, someone recommended Five Points Chiropractic to me.
All wanted/​expected for my first appointment was a general history, probably a few diagnostic tests, and a simple adjustment. What I got was a historically inaccurate history of chiropractic from a sweet girl working the front desk (probably shouldn’t spout off statistics when you are showing me an article on the wall that says differently), and literal quiz to see if I had been listening and was basically made to feel like a child by same dim-​witted yet sweet receptionist. Yes I received the diagnostic exams and x-​rays, however after stating repeatedly that I had been through chiropractic before and understood what was going on, I was told that I would not be adjusted and would have to wait until the next Tuesday to have an actual adjustment. I found out after making the appointment, that I would be forced to sit through a lecture and what seems like a social dinner event before the Dr. would see me that day. NO THANK YOU. I needed an adjustment before the weekend and I didn’t get it. Plus, as anyone with lower back problems can tell you sitting for a lecture you really don’t care about to hear about how chiropractic saved the human race from certain demise by disease is incredibly uncomfortable let alone painful. All I really wanted was maybe 10 minutes for a quick adjustment, all I got was a waste of money and 90 minutes in to my first appointment a waste of my valuable time.
I get that whole body care and learning to listen to your body needs to be taught to the masses but this is not the way to do it. Especially when I expressed repeatedly that the whole reason I was there was because I had listened to my body and needed an adjustment. Suggestion to the treatment of future patients: stop with the hard sell. They made an initial appointment, they clearly want to be there. There’s no need to sell them on your «brand» of chiropractic. LISTEN to your patients, you may find out that you are wasting your breath and every ones time.
Needless to say, I canceled my Tuesday «dinner and lecture» appointment and will not be back. I have gone to another practice in town who actually listens to me and adjusts me without trying to sell me on a way of life.

I’m the last person you’d ever expect to find at a chiropractor’s office. Meeting Dr. Huppert and his staff changed my mind.
A few weeks after seeing Dr. Huppert, the stiffness in my lower back and neck were completely gone. And, best of all, I’ve been able to stop getting allergy serum shots. Woo hoo!
Dr. Huppert and his staff have converted me from a doubter to a life-​long customer.

I’ve been going to Dr. Huppert for a few weeks now and have been extremely happy. The x-​rays he did showed my neck seemed to curve the wrong way (?). The educational talk he gives to the group before discussing his xrays is really an eye opener and I recommend everyone going to get checked out even if you aren’t experiencing pain.

The staff here is super friendly and the service was usually very good. If I felt a little left in the dust, it was either my own fault or the chiropractor’s, but not the support staff.
I originally came because I had a dislocated rib. The doctor was able to get it back in and feeling better within minutes, thank goodness. I continued to go in hopes of keeping the rib from acting up again (it hasn’t happened since) and then when I was pregnant to help with nerve and pain issues (it was a huge help).
I was very happy with the quality of adjustments and the relief they gave me. I was also happy with the payment plan — it ended up being economical so long as I continued to go, since it was a pay up front kind of plan.
The thing I was not very happy with… the seriously loud religious overtones and the nearly creepy and intense belief in chiropractic care being the Greatest Thing Evar. You are required to sit through a group session where you hear all about why everyone needs a chiropractor and how it will heal everything that ailed you, ever. It was, frankly, hard not to roll my eyes through this. There are huge Christian snippets all over the walls, which is a little obnoxious to me. Would a Muslim feel comfortable coming in and being bombarded with the dogma?
I also wasn’t always happy with the open adjustatorium, or whatever they called it. You would go in to the big back room, sit, and then try to guess when your turn to lay on the table was. When I brought my kids in, it was hard to watch them and watch for when it was supposed to be my turn at the same time. Sometimes I was there a long time because I was getting overlooked and I was either too distracted or too polite to say something.
I don’t go anymore, because right now, I’m feeling good, and I don’t feel like being proselytized while I wait for an adjustment. However, you will likely see me there again if my rib pops back out.
