Cute place in Athens to score some quirky T-shirts or gifts. The MIL picked up some T-shirts for the nephew(yes, they carry shirts for kids too!) and I picked up a card for an up coming birthday. The store also has a variety of novelty gifts. One interesting thing I noticed is that they carry pottery from different states. So you can see what ceramics an artist made in Kentucky and buy it! Great idea for gifts.

This store always sucks up my money if I come in. Cute gifts, cute clothes, cute accessories. At least some of their stuff is made in the US which I like. I love their jewelry and they’ve always got some clothing with interesting prints. Whenever I wear something from here I get compliments. :) I wish they had more variety in their sizing though. I’m pretty tall and so a lot of the stuff here is too short for me. In some cases, fixed easily enough with a pair of leggings but if the chest/torso is sized wrong I can’t do anything about it :(Maybe I should be thanking them for not allowing me to spend so much there…

This place is so adorable! It has an Urban Outfitters feel. Very cute jewelry that you’ll just have to buy. I went there looking for a summer dress and found the perfect one for me(wasn’t to tight or too short, and it had sleeves — very conservative and was just what I was looking for)

I was down in Athens, working and my coworker(who went to OU) wanted to get some food from Casa Nueva(the store that is next door). While waiting for her I decided to go in Artifacts Gallery and I was pleasantly surprised. At first I thought it was going to be granola-y and hocking Peruvian fair trade textiles or something, but i was wrong. There is a plethora of super cute jewelry that you don’t need, but will most definitely want. I really didn’t scope out the clothes too much, as I am a plus size gal and I didn’t have options there. But, the tshirts were cute, the clothes were appropriately hipster/urbanoutfitters but cheaper. There was a good selection of cute handbags and I ended up buying one, and so did my coworker. The tag said they were from etsy and they were when I looked them up. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the price at the store was actually cheaper than the etsy price because I was half expecting to be gouged on the mark up. I also bought some local-made earrings. I spent $ 74 on earrings and a bag, but I’m pretty sure if I had bought the same items at a boutique in Columbus, OH where I live, I would have spent way more.

When you need to find a unique and quirky gift, this is the place to check out. A wide array of retro-kitsh, you’ll find gags, fridge magnets, interestingly packaged lip balms, bacon wallets and fantastic local jewelry and pottery. I’ve purchased several pairs of gorgeous silver earrings there. As others have stated, it’s hard to pigeonhole the place. You can also find quirky retro tee’s. Limited fitting room space. It’s a great place to check out while waiting for a table at Casa’s next door. You’re guaranteed a few laughs!

Awesome buyers here. Cute stuff from all over makes it unique and makes you cooler than your friends that don’t shop there. Always get compliments on jewelry from there. Lots of random shit you don’t need but it’s so appealing. Vintage-y post cards and adorable canvas tote bags are some of my faves.

Artifacts has a great collection of old postcards, sunglasses, bags, hats, ironic t-shirts/gifts, cute dresses, jewelry, incense, etc. It’s really hard to pigeonhole this store. I never leave without buying something, which is good for them, but bad for my wallet.

This place rocks! I always get my sister gifts here. They have really cute womens clothes,(I always drool over the display dresses in the window) men’s ironic t-shirts, jewelry, and lot’s of stuff you do not need but want anyways.(Aka: plastic dinosaurs, sushi magnets, and glow in the dark nuns.) Go there and get yourself a little somethin’ somethin’.

Artifacts is always a go-to place for a fun little treat for myself. I’ve bought cool rings, earrings, shoes, skirts, t-shirts, etc… They play good music. Sometimes I wonder if the mirrors are skinny. But, I’m not going to complain. Everything is really affordable.
