Their customer service, reliability, expertise and attention to detail is better than anyone else out there. We had Kenneth’s heating and air install a new HVAC system and it went seamlessly. Their cost was competitive with other companies, but we felt that Kenneth was giving us honest answers to some of our questions instead of canned answers. They showed up when they said they would and had the install done in one day! We had one minor issue come up (not their fault) that was fixed in the blink of an eye. I wish that all of the home service companies that I have dealt with in the past could be like Kenneth’s Heating and Air. Thank you for all that you have done for us!

Fantastic company. We had 2 previous estimates. One recommended a whole new heating system with A/​C. Cost $ 18,000 to $ 20,000. Second estimate said just add A/​C to existing system would be $ 15,000. I called Kenneth’s for a 3^rd estimate. He said just add A/​C system to our heating and the cost was half of the 2^nd estimate. They did the work in a day. The system is so quiet I never know if it it on. Absolutely loveit. Thank you so much, Kenneth and Kenneth’s employees!

Kenneth’s was fast, knowledgeable and efficient. They also were honest about potential problems but didn’t push for the fix that would bring them more $. Instead they gave me options and I chose the one that worked best for me. They seem reasonable and fair in their pricing as well. Overall, a great experience and now cool air is happening in the house once again — awesome! Highly recommend.

AC unit was broken, called and he was here the next morning. Had it running within 15 minutes. Super friendly guy. It was very affordable too.

I’m happy with the service. I called for a pre season check up of my ac system and the tech showed up on time he was clean, friendly and explained everything he did. When I discussed issues I was having with the system he suggested no-​cost or low-​cost solutions to most of them. I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

My dad is selling his house and needed to repair an item with his AC unit that showed up on the home inspection report. He was having a really hard time finding someone to do the work and it was becoming VERY stressful for him as we were on a really tight timeline. All of this was complicated by the fact that I don’t live in the area and was tasked on helping my dad fix the problem from long distance.
I ended up calling Kenneth and he could not have been more accommodating on the phone. He very clearly explained to me the process and gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone. He really put my dad and myself at ease and relieved a lot of the stress this repair was causing. He knew how stressful and hard it might be having to orchestrate this from out of town and he repeatedly assured me that he would take care of my dad to make sure he would get the repair he needed. He was just really professional and at the same time, very understanding of a difficult situation.
Long story short, we ended up not needing to have Kenneth do the work. We had another repair guy already on the property working on the furnace who ended up being able to do the AC work right then and there, but based on my phone calls and interaction with him, I would fully recommend him and his company for any work based on his unbelievable customer service and willingness to answer questions and help right away. He really was a life saver!

We had to have our ancient furnace replaced and Kenneth’s did a fantastic job. Marc was extremely kind and walked us through all of the possibilities we were considering as options to another gas furnace. Their price was excellent and we have all the confidence in their installation. The three technicians were extremely polite and meticulous about attention to detail. They went above and beyond making sure we were well informed about the new furnace and its installation. Marc also repaired several parts that made everything safer and up to current standards. He even put a new plate behind our existing thermostat when he realized we did not have one! This is just a small example of the kindness that Kenneth’s technicians displayed. Finally, they cleaned up everything inside and out better than it was when they arrived! Thank you so much Kenneth’s.

I just had a dual head heating and cooling system installed in my house, and Kenneth’s did a FANTASTIC job. From the start, getting a quote was very easy and had a quick turnaround time. And they were able to schedule the installation for the same week! They were so nice, friendly and courteous, and made sure to clean up everything and return things to how they were before they arrived. They did such a professional job, I’m extraordinarily pleased. It’s clear they care about their work! They even turned off the gas to my existing heating system for me. I would refer them to anyone in a heartbeat!

What a great experience working with Kenneth and his crew. We replaced our ancient furnace last winter and added AC at the same time.
It was a two day job, and Kenneth and his guys showed up exactly when they said they would, were very friendly to my children and pets and were nothing but polite and courteous the whole time.
Because the AC was installed in the winter we were aware it would need some adjustment once that triple digit weather hit. When the heat finally came it took a simple phone call and Kenneth was at our place within 15 minutes adjusting the AC unit to keep the house comfortable.
All in all the experience was smooth as could be and everything is working perfectly. Thanks Kenneth and crew!

They promptly came to our house, checked out the problem with the heater. They had the replacement part in their van. The heater was fixed, for a inexpensive service call. So great to have heat again! Would reccomend Kenneth’s to anyone needing quality service or repairs at a very resonable price!

Was in total shock about what we were told a new heating unit was going to cost us when I checked with Unilocal. What a difference that simple act made for us! Started reading about different heating/​cooling service companies & found Kenneth’s. Called & asked for a bid yesterday, agreed to a price and the job was completed before eleven this morning! They were incredible!
Kenneth and his guys arrived on time, politely covered the floors & anything else that might be effected, set to work right away, showed us the bad parts they removed & completed the job without a hitch.
They explained everything to us as they went along & did a terrific job of cleaning up so you could never tell they had even been here. If you need ANYTHING done in the heating/​cooling world, you’d certainly be well advised to check with Kenneth’s before committing to anyone else.

+when bidding, they were responsive and explained the process well. I paid them right away after the initial job was done. After 3 + phone calls, they came back twice to fix problems outside of thier control.

–They crimped the return ductwork during the install. I had to call them back 3 times for them to come over to fix it and they strapped it back up, and somewhat punched out the crimp on the old pipe. Due to damage to the main return (partially their responsibility), I offered to pay materials for them to replace it. I could have held them responsible for the whole thing, but wanted to be fair. I asked for a bid for this to be repaired, offering to share the cost, due to the age of the system. After a few phone calls, I got a $ 890 offer to replace the section.

We were very happy with the Kenneth’s and highly recommend their company. Marc was extremely conscientious, hard-​working, thorough, and knowledgeable. We also felt that what we paid for the service was more than fair.

By far the best local hvac company. I recommend you call then first. after the ac stopped kenneth himself came out. I exclaimed I needed it fixed asap because my handicap daughter was very heart sensitive. Not only did they isolate the actual problem, but they didn’t try and sell me a bunch of stuff I didn’t need like all the other companies. They were$ 1000 cheaper then the next closest bid. On top of that he came out the next day to replace my condenser, even though he new it would take me a couple days to come up with the payment. The employees treated my wife with the utmost respect, and were squeaky clean. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys truly are angels.

I scheduled this company after I had a poor experience with another service company.
Armando and Mark were on time and were very thorough in explaining how everything progressed. After inspecting the HVAC both inside and outside, advised the A/​C needed a little fill up but otherwise the system was in great condition.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for work for the HVAC system.

These people are THE BEST! I called them on a Monday morning at 7 a.m., expecting to get an answering machine. Instead, a very friendly gentleman answered. I explained my A/​C issue and he told me two men will be at my home within the hour. They were here in forty minutes!
Armando and Mark were were perhaps the friendliest and most polite people I’ve ever had working in my home. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Then they ran the system to be sure all was well. It was. They explained that down the road, there is a problem that should be taken care of of but they did not do what happens so often… try to get me to immediately have the work done or deal with the consequences. Thank you Kenneth’s. I will be dealing with that existing problem soon and will be giving you a call. I’ll also spread the word about your awesome service!

Our AC unit quit working the other day so I called Kenneth’s to come take a look at the problem. It was nice being able to make an evening call after normal business hours and they scheduled a next day appointment no problem. Kenneth was great! Very professional and helpful — doing a complete and thorough job quickly and efficiently. He provided lots of information explaining exactly what the problem was (capacitor died on compressor), why it happened, and provided tips on how to extend the life of the capacitor in the future. He also provided great additional information/​suggestions on how to get better cooling in our two-​story house in North County heat. Definitely recommended!

My husband and I decided to get a new heater system since ours was pretty old, and also decided to get central a/​c, as well. Our house was built in the 60s and on hot days in SLO, which have become more frequent, the inside of our house just bakes. I researched some companies and we got a few bids from various other heater/​ac companies and they were all either too expensive, didn’t even show up or got horrible reviews on Unilocal.Until I found Kenneth’s.
They came out, gave us a bid, which was lower than any of the others, and were courteous, prompt, friendly and really knew what they were talking about. Such a relief! When they came to do the actual install it took them 2 days, due to some issues with the age of our house and our old ducting, etc. These guys work their butts off and then some. They arrived on time every day at 8:30am and didn’t leave until the sun went down. They truly are hard workers and do a very thorough and professional job. We were both extremely impressed with them. All the guys who came to do the job, including the owner Kenneth himself, were friendly and professional. I have to say that Kenneth and Cameron were on top of everything.
When the first a/​c unit wasn’t right, Kenneth actually drove down to LA to pick up a more efficient and better unit for us. I mean, what other company would go above and beyond like that? Not many. He was always available for any questions we asked and even came back when we called about an issue we were having.
To cut a long story short, these guys are well worth all the positive reviews they receive on Unilocal.Courteous, friendly, professional, prompt, knowledgeable AND they actually clean up after themselves and do a great job at it. I highly, highly recommend them to anyone looking for a heater/​ac install or repair!

Overall, I am happy with the company and would use them again. Only 4 stars because there were some communication problems and they groused about me putting this large bill on a credit card.
Scheduled a furnace service and thermostat install two weeks earlier-​asked for first appt of the day and stayed home from work. Was told tech would be there by 8am. At 8:30, I called and was told there was a 2 hr window. That was not made clear at scheduling or I would have made it at the end of the day instead of staying home from work. When Jon showed up at the rescheduled time that afternoon, he didn’t know why he was there or what the cost was to be.
In the end, I bought a new furnace from them and was happy to do it. The old furnace was at least 40 yrs old. They weren’t happy about me using a credit card but how do you pay for a furnace with cash?
Jon was professional. The price I paid was reasonable, there was no mess when I got home and the office staff apologized for the scheduling mixup. It’s a local company. Use them.
