Just visited Dr. McGaughey for the first time this afternoon and I am so impressed! I couldn’t wait to spread the word about how great her practice is.
I am visiting the San Luis Obispo area, and my son came down with an ear infection and had developed a funky rash. I called every ND in the area and soonest anyone could fit me in was in another 2 weeks! I was ready to drive to an office in LA when I contacted Dr. McGaughney. She fit me in the same day!
I liked her office, it is professional without the typical sterile doctor office feel. My immediate impression of her was great. She was very attentive and listened to my rambling very patiently, despite the fact that she probably knew what the problem was right off the bat.
She was incredibly warm and caring and was great with my baby. She diagnosed the issue very quickly (but not in a rushed sort of way) and offered several different options for mitigating his symptoms and boosting his immune system.
I wish we lived closer so that she could be our family doctor. If you do live in the San Luis Obispo area, you are lucky to have such a great ND in your area, and should absolutely take advantage of it!
