History

Established in 1986.

Owners Cindy and Dave Kennedy have lived on the Central Coast since 1985 and founded Five Star Rain Gutters in 1986. Cindy manages the office while Dave works in the field. They raised their children in the area, and now their son, David, works alongside his father.

ORIGINAL: I called this morning to request an estimate and Daniel was so rude over the phone I won’t be calling them back. «We have over 50 calls a day», «It will be a long time before you can even get an estimate», «I need to get back to the other 2 calls I have waiting». Gosh, I’m sorry I wanted to pay you for your services! Don’t waste your time.

Installed gutters across the back section of our home. The crew was friendly, efficient and didn’t leave any mess behind. They even came back out and helped us tie the gutters into a rain barrel system. We were very happy with the price and looking forward to having them install more across the front of our home.

After waiting over a month for an appointment I was finally excited to get a cost estimate for gutters. I received no confirmation call the day before and no one responded to my phone calls or emails to confirm the appointment for 10am was still on.
On the day of, no one showed up at 10am. At 11:45am Dave Senior did show up and did a lengthy assessment, further delaying the plans I had postponed while he was late.
He then stated he would have a cost estimate within a week. After three weeks of hearing nothing I finally sent an email regarding my dissatisfaction and STILL had no reply. I have now gone almost the entire rainy season without gutters because I mistakingly put my trust in this company.

If you use these guys, give yourself a month lead-​time for installation and MAKE SURE you quadruple-​check everything is correct when the crew arrives. After over a month wait to get gutters installed, the crew showed up today and put up the wrong color. So much for their excuse the long wait was because they had to special order our color and then they installed basic white. What a disappointment.

The front office was efficient and professional when I called to make an appointment. They came out and took a look at my gutters while I was at work and provided me with a reasonable estimate. I haven’t moved forward with replacement yet but will definitely use them when the time is right.
