Bob’s Bouncing Bungalows

I fully understand that those who post on Unilocal are typically only those with negative notes. So here I go with one of my first negative reviews. I have worked in many stores as a customer service representative, and the service I have recieved at Bob’s is close to appalling. When talking to representatives I expect to be given a reasonable and calm headed reason why they are late, however today I was given a hot headed and stubborn reply that «because I am calling I am the reason they are late». Look I am a reasonable customer, I listen, and I don’t yell, my mother taught me well, but I am not sure if anyone taught this customer service representative. Because they are the only business renting bounce houses near us we might be forced to use them again. However if you are someone deciding between this location and somewhere else, go to the other location. I understand being late is sometimes inevitable, but good customer service is not.
UPDATE: The man was nice, order had come late however. Overall I am not happy or angry with the transaction but rather ambivalent. I originally gave 1 star but now after a bit of thought, three stars is more fitting.

We had the same experience as the review from July 2014. Figured it’s been awhile, maybe it was a one time bad deal. Um definitely not! Said things and did not follow thru including set up and pick up times. We ordered pink castle with slide @ $ 180 for 5 hrs. A little pricey but not many options in Atascadero. Not 5 minutes into jumping the kids come in the house with over half dozen random socks, a baseball cap and a ball! Disgusting! Our kids socks, knees and hands were black after playing. Would’ve called him to come back but the kids were way to excited to disappoint. Called and asked for a refund, didn’t even bother to call me back. My mother in law calls Sunday morning and says he came back Saturday afternoon to pick up the blower machine and hadn’t come back for the bouncer! Will not use this company again…

Rented a sports bounce/​slide for my son’s birthday party yesterday from Bob’s. My son was beyond excited (which is why we went ahead and paid $ 160 for 5 hours). Guy set it all up, spent a few minutes cleaning the inside, and was gone. We went out there and the smell was horrible. My daughter wouldn’t even get IN it! She went and got Lysol and sprayed to help with the smell. So I went in and was APPALLED by how DIRTY the bounce house was. It was GROSS. It needed a scrub for sure, but I’m really not even sure that would help. We really wanted to call him and have him come back and pick it up, but my son would have been heartbroken and we had 10 little boys coming to bounce. So the smell faded a bit after my husband brought the Pinesol out and scrubbed a bit. The guy was supposed to come back at 4pm to pick it up… or at least that was our assumption, since the rental ended at 4pm. No word from him as the evening wore on. Guests left, kids were showered and put to bed and we were literally in pajamas and going to bed (my husband has to get up at 4am for work) when our doorbell rang. At 9:30 pm!!! This was a Sunday BTW. Are you kidding me??? He was there to pick it up! Horribly unprofessional to say the least. Oh and the doorbell woke up both my kids. Thanks. I would never suggest this company, or ever rent from then again personally or professionally. The ONLY upside was the batting tee thing that he «threw in» for an additional $ 10. It was fun and even though it was dirty, we didn’t «get in it» so it was fine.
