History

Established in 2012.

Blades On Ice is a dream coming to life with years of planning now ready to launch. The basic business proposal is simple: A seasonal family fun ice skating center to enhance the all-​ages activities available to enjoy in Atascadero, CA. With the new theater, revamped downtown, and other new construction improvements, Atascadero is ripe for another attraction that keeps the fun close to home. Families won’t need to drive all the way to San Luis Obispo, or the 5 Cities area to find a great place to enjoy the winter holiday fun!

Blades On Ice will feature a 5,000 square foot ice-​skating rink with a family friendly atmosphere for all occasions. The center will include skate rentals, concessions, music, festive lights, and a flexible schedule with a 45-​minute session kicking off nearly every hour! The ice rink has a 100 person capacity, and will feature a full size, full service zamboni to keep the ice in top condition.

Blades On Ice features a 9,600 square foot ice-​skating rink with a family friendly atmosphere for all occasions. The center includes skate rentals, concessions, music, festive lights, and a flexible schedule with a one-​and-​a-​half hour sessions kicking off every 2 hours! Zamboni conditioning at any time. The ice rink has a 200 person capacity, and features a full size, full service zamboni to keep the ice in top condition. Derek’s 3 daughters are the inspiration for the rink and the continued push to get a permanent rink!
