Business Owner

Born and raised in San Luis Obispo county of California, Don is 4th generation Californian. Don grew up in a home with deep rooted tradition of hunting and fishing. Don’s grandfather was a trapper for many years, however it was Don’s mother who introduced her husband to hunting. You could say it is in his genes. Don’s earliest recollection of his hunting began in the hills of Arroyo Grande, chasing skunk with a b b gun. After returning from the Army in 1971, Don married Rosemary in 1974 and they established their home in Atascadero, they have one son Tom, also raised in the life of the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting.

The trip to Alaska opened the door to guiding in 1985 and he has established his reputation as both guide and taxidermist to an international client base. He enjoys sharing his skills to get his hunter on the best they can achieve and always tell them «it is your choice and your hunt», at anytime the hunter is presented an animal to take the shot.
