Decent food here. My friend and I split the butternut squash soup and salad and then the margherita pizza and the shrimp pasta. The pasta was not as al dente as I like it. And the pizza was cracker thin. I like thin crust pizza, but this was too thin. The soup was okay. Salad was actually the highlight.

This has become a favorite go-to spot. Love the roasted brussels sprouts and the chicken entrée(who knew chicken could be so darn good!?) They also have a great happy hour deal for their wines on tap.

Awesome selection of wine and beer on top. Go with the cauliflower and kale choice for your pizza. It was the most amazing combination ever.

Gosh this has got to be one of my favorite restaurants in queens. I have been here multiple times and you can not go wrong with brunch. I have a love affair with their pumpkin pancakes and the other breakfast options are all delicious. For dinner i always get the meatballs. Over the summer they had a phenomenal kale watermelon salad but now with their winter menu i am head over heels for the butternut squash soup. I may have licked the bowl clean. The pasta… the pasta!!! Yes yes and yes! Thw thin crust pizzas are also a great lighter option and the burger is a home run. Told you I’ve been here a lot! I have also never had a glass of wine i didn’t like and the baby jesus cake is

We had an such a great dinner! The pizzas were to die for. We opted for mussels this visit and they were amazing, enough for a few people! This place will be on a list of must do again! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Honestly one of the best Thin Crust Pizzas you will ever have. The crust is crunchier then Pringles!

I love this restaurant so much. I’ve been here twice now. The first time I went there was for dinner, and I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The wine bar is cozy, and definitely a good date place. The second time I came here, was for brunch. I heard amazing things about the Hangover Pizza, and decided to try it. Little did I know, it was one of the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. It is definitely a must try! I like both brunch and dinner at this place, and I am very eager to return. p. s.- Cheap cocktails and delicious polenta.

Vesta has been getting great word of mouth, and has been on my «must try» list for a while. When We Heart Astoria featured them as offering a 7 Fishes La Vigilia dinner, we decided it was time to go. Though they had«La Vigilia» on the menu, they only offered selections from a variety of seafood a la carte dishes, and there were not 7 possibilities even at that. We opted for a fritto misto, as an appetizer nod, It was well prepared and not overdone. None of the evening«Vigilia» mains sounded interesting. We ended up ordering lasagna, which was fine but nothing unusual. The winner for the meal was the roast chicken, which was perfectly executed and served on a bed of soft polenta with kale. Desserts were both a miss. The«Baby Jesus» cake nothing more than an ordinary gingerbread done with a dulce di leche sauce. The tartufo was not well flavor balanced. The give away cookies were also overly sweet. The gourmet home baker at our table mentioned they tasted as though they were made from dairy case cookie dough. we did not finish any of the desserts. Vesta is essentially a bar trying to be a restaurant. They have a nice wine list. The space is noisy, the tables are void of cloth or interest, and the bar is the centerpiece of the room. The chef in the back is very competent, but not competitive with other places now in the area offering more imaginative and better executed menus and mains. at better price points. The service is wonderful, but for the price point and quality there are so many other options in the neighborhood that are better choices. In fairness the photos of brunch look wonderful here. However, I urge those concerned to watch Big Night again if Vesta is serious about having a «Big Night» group dining menu available— not even close. We have a large dash of hubris on the menu at this point.

The only thing I really like about this place is the décor. Everything else was just mediocre. The waitress was nice, but the food took way too long to come out. We came in at 11am, and ordered within 10 minutes of being there. We did not get our food till 11:40. Seriously?! 30 minutes to make two plates of food?! I mean if it was busy then I understand. We were their FIRST customers and the only other person that came in later sat at the bar. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes while my friend ordered the fried eggs. Overall, we thought the food was just okay. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. The pancakes itself did not taste like pumpkin, which I was bummed about. I only tasted the pumpkin in the syrup. I wished it was the other way around. The side order of bacon on the other hand was pretty good. Will I return again? Maybe, if I was around the area. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here again.

Super tasty and affordable brunch in Astoria. Vesta is relatively unassuming in location and ambiance but the food is great. Being the growing girl that I am(okay, not true) I read the description of The Hangover Breakfast Pizza and deemed myself up for the challenge. My dining companion left me hanging and opted for the daintier(but delicious) L’Italiano, but our kind server reassured me that I could handle the pizza alone. It was HUGE! I was shocked but our server was right: though packed with tons of flavor, the pizza had an ultra thin crust and was surprisingly delicate, making it easy for me to polish off slice after slice. The tomato base was tangy and delicious with a hint of spice, the cheese and meats zesty but not overpowering; the potatoes were a hearty complement to the sauce, and the egg atop the pizza was perfectly cooked and miraculously did not run/drip all over the pizza. This guy was a great value and fun to eat too. Only one thing I’d change: season or cook the breakfast potatoes more instead of leaving them plain — but this is minor. All in all, a very good meal made complete by high quality coffee/lattes and generous refills. A must-try, if only for this pizza!

Awesome brunch. Fair prices. Ambiance is definitely nice if you’re into that sort of thing. Rustic wooden tables, lots of natural light, chalk boards on the wall… everything you’d want for a nice Instagram with your best betches on a Sunday morning. Poached eggs were perfect. Believe me, this is an art, I’ve messed up many a poached egg and even my best don’t have the look & shape of these… yet. Herb Polenta bowl($ 12) was unreal in both flavor and texture. Comfort food for brunch in a bowl. The L’Italiano is also a great choice at $ 10.

Four cheese pizza that’s all you need to order! Their beer is amazing. Never crowded. Wasn’t a huge fan of their entrees. Baby Jesus cake wasn’t the best cake ever as they advertise.

Great service! We went back to have the baby Jesus dessert and of course we devoured it and had to order another one. After inhaling our two dessert portions we decided to order some appetizers. Our great server recommend the meatballs and arancini. The meatballs here are amazing!!! The meat is super tender and it’s just the right amount of spicy. We were not even hungry after stuffing ourselves with dessert but the food was soo good that we had to make room for it. The arancini was also delicious!!!

Came here for brunch on a Saturday. It’s not in the busy area of Astoria where most restaurants are so there was no wait, attentive service, and noise level wasn’t too loud. The food was also really yummy and really cheap. The menu for brunch isn’t very long but there was a bit of everything. Brunch specials, sandwiches, soups, pizzas. My friend and I both got the l’italiano as recommended by the waiter. $ 10?! What a deal. The bread was crunchy but not too hard. Perfect amount of ricotta that added that creamy and salty flavor. The soppressata(Italian sausage) was delicious. Poached eggs were done just right. And home fries came with bits of onion in them, which really added that extra layer of flavor. I wish there was more sausage on it and the home fries could have used some more salt. Those were my only cons. Service was on point. Our water cups were never empty. They were very polite and welcoming. I want to come back just for the l’italiano and great service. I also want to try their dinner menu.

I came here for Sunday brunch after seeing raving reviews. Although the food was good, it wan’t amazing. The homefries came with both the breakfast sandwich and l’italiano, but one side was cold while the other was hot, which was very strange. Mint Cocktail– Delish and refreshing L’Italiano — Good, but the flavors were a bit underwhelming Breakfast Sandwich– Very underwhelming, didn’t really taste much. Baby Jesus Cake — Tasty, but definitely over hyped. The extra scoop of ice cream for $ 2 was so tiny! Overall, the food was decent, but not something I’d crave. The dining atmosphere is great so I would recommend coming here if you live nearby, but otherwise skip it.

Located on a quiet street in Astoria, Vesta is a demure little spot. I stopped by with my SO on a Sunday morning around noon. We easily found parking and were seated immediately. Any place without a wait for brunch is a win in my books. We ordered the hangover pizza and the L’italiano. The pizza was awesome! It had a thin crispy crust and their spicy tomato sauce is delicious. The L’italiano was okay, but I think I ruined it for myself by eating the pizza first. The portion for the pizza is a little much for one person — even with two people we could barely finish it since we had about two slices left over(mostly since we ordered another entrée). I completely understand why they call it the Hangover Pizza… I could just imagine it: dragging myself in to Vesta on a Sunday morning, in sweats, and gorging myself on this protein-packed circular form of deliciousness. The Homefries were really good — nice and crispy! The service here is really friendly and casual. Great place for a no frills weekend brunch to catch up with some friends.

While the exterior may look a bit shabby, Vesta surely impresses once you walk in. Exposed brick walls, shelves stacked with books and used wine bottles and an overall rustic feel with great lighting, always nice for brunch feasting. Yes these are the things I notice… I know I know this is a food review! The noms: We eyed the hangover pizza but skipped it since we thought it would be too much food for two, saving that for another time. — The organic herb polenta– SO creamy and flavorful. Creamy polenta topped with two fried eggs and sautéed mushrooms. We loved this dish and I’d bet I would be satisfied with just this. — homefries– believe it or not, many places mess basic homefries. They were pretty good here. Nice and crispy and served on the side of the polenta dish –Buttermilk pancakes– a little overly sweet for me but they were fluffy and I love anything flavored with oranges. I can see some people not loving these pancakes though, mostly because the flavor is a little overpowering for pancakes. I sided a little inside when I was too full to sample their famous sweet baby Jesus cake which I saw the table next to us order. It looked beautiful!

Vesta is my absolute favorite restaurant in Astoria. It’s slightly off the beaten path, located at the end of 30th ave and 21st street. The food is fresh and the meal options are not found at many other places in the neighborhood. My personal favorite for dinner is the deep baked lasagna. It takes about 30 minutes to make but it is definitely worth the wait! I also love the kale pizza when they offer it — super tasty! I recently came here for Brunch for the first time and I was very happy with the experience. I had a delicious cup of cappuccino(made the correct way with lots of foam) and I enjoyed the Eggs All’amatriciana, which is very different from what I normally eat for brunch. My boyfriend enjoyed the spelt pancakes and they were some of the most delicious pancakes I have ever tasted. I will definitely be ordering that next time I’m in for Brunch. They taste healthy, but not in a bad way… if that makes sense? Either way, I highly recommend them! Service here is always friendly and efficient. Great beer and wine selection and I love the cozy and romantic ambiance of the place!

What a great little spot in the middle of no where in Astoria. I was visiting my BFF and she lives about a block from Vesta. I was sold as soon as she told me they had a hang over pizza. I love the ambiance of this place it’s a cute little Italian café. We walked in and were greeted by our friendly server. I started my morning/afternoon off with a Bloody Mary it was perfect and a delicious cup of coffee. The menu is small but there are plenty of amazing options to choose from. Definitely dishes I would never find in NC they were very unique to the normal brunch menus I’m use to. On top of the hangover pizza which is a must here we ordered the quinoa with goat cheese, beets, pesto, and a poached egg. The hangover pizza was the star of our meal and it’s huge definitely enough for two people. The pizza was topped with potatoes, pancetta, sausage, fried eggs & spicy tomato sauce. I love that it’s on a very thin crust so it’s not overly filling. I will not be forgetting this pizza anytime soon. I enjoyed the quinoa dish as well but it wasn’t nearly as good as the pizza it was a little bland. I wish I was still in town so I could check out their dinner menu as well. This was my first impression of food in Queens and it was great I highly recommend checking it out if your in the area.
