Worst moving company ever! I booked this company about 3 months before our move was to take place. Jordan Doran was super helpful and then it became an absolute nightmare.
My husband is military and we are moving across country. We got a call this past Thursday (this is literally how recent thus was) that the movers would be at our home on Friday 10÷2÷15 between 8 – 11 am. The driver called me on date of arrival and told me they were going to be late and would be at my house by noon. Noon rolls around, no truck at all and no phone call from the driver. I waited 30 minutes before calling the driver and he told me that the gate guards weren’t letting him through and they would be calling me for information. I waited another half an hour and called the driver again, no answer. I waited another 10 minutes and called again and he fowarded my call to voicemail. I then called Alliance for information and they told me that the driver didn’t have the proper credentials to get on the installation. I then asked why not since they had just about 3 months to prepare and I couldn’t get an answer. I was assured that we would have our truck the next day, nothing. Called, and called, and called and still didn’t get answers.
I wound up calling Alliance this morning and the lady who answered my call told me I was better off getting a refund on my deposit and finding a different company to move my family.
My husband and I were lucky enough that the housing office was understanding of our situation and we ended up renting a truck for us to load ourselves.
I wouldn’t waste your time with this company at all! This has been the most stressful last few days that I’ve dealt with in a very long time and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through with what my family has gone through with this company.

They were supposed to pick up my stuff 14 days ago, but informed me on the day of pickup that they would be unable to do so. They have not called me since with updates and I am already in a new city without any of my belongings. Completely unprofessional. And they still have my deposit of $ 600. It’s starting to feel like a scam.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY on the face of the planet. Anyone moving, cross country or down the street, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
They come off as helpful public servants but are CROOKS, DISHONEST and NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY!
This was the absolute WORST customer service experience that I ever had in my life. The worst person is John Edwards, who called me and insulted me after I cancelled my order. He said, verbatim, that I was «soft and anal» because my customer service standards are high.
Whatever you do, DO NOT, DO NOT, USE THIS COMPANY!!!

The first part of the move was fine — Jordan Doran was great in setting me up, the QA person was proactive in getting in touch with me.
But then the nightmare began.
Every time I looked around, my rates went up, from under $ 1000 to $ 4000. And the $ 4000 is after the driver claims to have worked with me to get the flat rate.
I had to move suddenly for work, so I couldn’t be available at pickup. My friend was present, but even then, my apartment was trashed, the movers stole stuff from me & they took it upon themselves to open a box of dryer sheets (remnants of which I found in the bathroom trash).
When I received the boxes, clothes were wrinkled, stuff had been broken & items had been packed that I explicitly told them not to pack.
It took 1 week to unpack my boxes and another 2 weeks before I could get back to determine what was still missing.
Getting any kind of satisfaction from Alliance as to accountability was frustrating to no end — customer service reps toe the party line & don’t even *try* to be understanding of the customers’ needs (I’ve only had *1* rep who was — Kenny).
Everyone else I’ve dealt with has been judgmental, condescending & downright insulting.
My last exchange with customer service was, «Why are you still calling us? We’ve documented all your calls & have done everything we can for you. What is it that you want?»
When the truth is, I want them to be accountable & I want them to learn some communication skills.
And I haven’t even begun the process of filing a claim with them yet!

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE FAKE REVIEWS ON Unilocal AND ELSEWHERE, AND STAY AWAY!!!
A bunch of glowing reviews for this company on a google search led me to believe that they might be reputable for a move from OR to TX. I was called by a very smooth-​talking salesperson named Jordan Doran who, when building my quote, told me to give him a «really general idea» of what was in our apartment for packing, and that we would «nail down the specifics later.»
Well, after giving me a quote that was lower than other moving companies, I figured okay, I’ll go with these guys. Boom, deposit paid. I agreed with Jordan the specific day that the truck would come and pick up our belongings, as time is always very sensitive during a move.
About a week later (and packing many of our things), we realized that we’d need to add another piece of furniture and double our boxes. The price skyrocketed by over half the original quote.
Skepticism began creeping in. I started reading some of the glowing 5-​star reviews a little bit closer — do the same and you’ll see how generic and vague the details are. Compare with the abundance of 1-​star reviews of people with ACTUAL experiences dealing with these people, and it becomes obvious.
I called them again to confirm when the truck was going to be there when they revealed that they were just a BROKER, and that the truck would be 2 days later than planned. This was news to me — an entire different company with even more terrible reviews was actually going to be doing the moving.
I canceled our request and got a bunch of sass from the «Customer Service Representative» on the phone and forfeited my deposit (lesson learned).
In the end, we just rented a uHaul and did the move ourselves. Maybe a little more laborious, but without the hassle of some unknown disreputable moving scam-​company breaking and losing our things — and ultimately way cheaper!

Never in my life have I felt so personally victimized by an inanimate moving company.
If Alliance were a person, it’d be the girl who sends multiple text in 15-​minute increments, even when it’s clear you aren’t going to text back. It’d be the guy at the 90 who is clearly too old to be there, but who is still trying to be down with the youth and ruin your Friday night. It would be that person who is always singing at inopportune times, even when you’re like «please stop singing». It’d be someone who uses the word «amazeballs or bromance».
It would be that person with the inexplicably punchable face who you don’t even have a reason to hate, you just do, and why are you asking me why I hate you, who are you, the hatred police?
During my short stint working with «Alliance» if that’s even really their name I was taken on a roller coaster ride to hell. The fact that the company remains in business makes me turn my eyes to the heavens, and ask God why he hath forsaken me.
My initial quote was for $ 1400 I could feed like 1,000 African babies a day for that much. I have like a studio apartment I wasn’t taking a couch or tv stand or any dressers! bed crib table desk chair bouncer and I said around 20 boxes. Despite this measly move I was making they told me they would charge me the minimum.
The trained monkeys at the front desk Reuben have figured out how to turn on the customer service skills for about 48 hours just long enough for you to think they aren’t robots and have at least ¹⁄₃ of their teeth & probably ½ a brain but SOMEBODY CALL THE BROTHERS GRIMM, BECAUSE THAT IS A DAMN FAIRYTALE. To date, I have wasted my life arguing with them on the phone & emailing back & forth.
Here is where the anomalous game of make-​believe moving went awry I need a company who could quickly get my stuff where it needed to be told them what I had & I even went outside to count steps to make sure I wasn’t going to be charged extra. He assured me that even if I added a few things I wouldn’t be at my max pounds. He sent me the paperwork and called hastily and asked me to sign it. I told him I was getting my hair done & my phone was about to die & I couldn’t get to it till tomorrow. I gave my phone to my fiancé & carried on. My choice in men may be symbolic of my choice in moving companies because he signed the document didn’t read a damn thing. So I called the day before the move which we will call D DAY because I hadn’t heard a damn thing. They said they would call me back. That was when I encountered the PUPPET MASTER he who controlled the other monkeys or robots or drones in the office. So I say when will you get here (correct answer: May 19^th or tomorrow) he said «Between 19^th & 20^th» I said you don’t even know what day your picking my stuff up & the 19^th is tomorrow. This is when he began to reset to factory settings & repeat «you signed the contract you read it» we went through this witty banter that ended with me saying cancel my move & give me the deposit back & he saying «good luck moving your stuff & making your flight now your out a plant ticket & the deposit»
A rule may be explicitly stated in your contract, and never enforced. It may be stated nowhere at all, and yet enforced with tenacity that would make even Vladimir Putin be like, «hey, not cool.» Nevertheless they thought I wouldn’t call my bank & charge it back. I did just that! They said «it won’t go through because you signed the contract I have great relationship with merchant accounts blah blah blah» JP MORGAN CHASE flew in like a bank Superman saved me from the bullshit I was succumbed to! Hip hip HOORAY!
After going through this I read all the negative reviews on Unilocal. (Reuben the robot told me NOT to read Unilocal but to read the BBB such a robotic thing to do right) These complaints are all unacceptable & my people keep using them.
Please reconsider using them. You are so young. You have your whole life ahead of you, filled with gleaming promises of taxes, overly demanding bosses, and passive aggressive drivers on the freeway. Life is already stressful. Don’t let your moving situation be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Even a Tempurpedic bed can’t fix a broken back & if you have them move your stuff you may not even get your bed returned (as I hear the robot drivers are shape shifters & turn into PIRATES once they have your belongings)

I just received a call for a quote and he asked what other ranges I’ve heard. I said $ 900-​$ 1300. He replied, «Wow. Unless it’s 2 Mexicans renting a Uhaul, I don’t know how that would be possible.»
Then he quoted me higher than anyone else. Needless to say, I won’t be using this company.

AVOID THE HEARTACHE AND DON’T USE THIS MOVING COMPANY.
They will tack on a bunch of hidden fees, including a $ 300 NYC
«shuttle fee», which was NOT mentioned during my initial quote to move my stuff from Boulder, CO to Brooklyn. Additionally, they charged me +$ 200 for extra packing fees, including putting my mattress in a shoddy DIY cardboard box, when I had purchased a protective cover for the mattress. They broke more than half my belongings.
Seriously, you’re better off going with another company. They jacked up my quote from $ 1800 to $ 2300. Don’t fall for the A+ service BS like I did.
And yes, they are a brokerage, so they will hand you off to a no-​name company,

In a nutshell: The W O R S T. Do not use.
PLEASE NOTE: These guys also call themselves Alliance. There’s another moving company out there called Alliance with great reviews and this is NOT them. I thought I was calling that company (through a Google search), and shame on me for not confirming these were the right guys. Just a quick glance at these Unilocal reviews would have set me straight.
I’m pretty laid back. I don’t usually get worked up over things to the point of feeling a strong urge to write a negative review. These guys take the cake, though.
Be warned — they are a brokerage. They will swoon you with great customer service until the point that you sign the contract. Then … crickets. They confirmed a window the truck (from one of their moving partners) would arrive to get my things, and then I never heard from them again. The moving partner (Long Haul Van Lines — writing them up a nice review, too) arrived as planned to get my things, but after that things totally fell apart. Alliance said (and I reconfirmed twice) that they would accept credit card for the 1^st half of the remaining payment at pickup (cash at delivery). The Long Haul driver knew nothing about this and was not prepared to take my cc, so I gave him nothing. They (Alliance or Long Haul) never called to finalize payment, which I thought was strange.
Next, the driver told me to call his *mobile* when I was ready for things to be delivered the following week. He came on a Friday and said he could deliver any day starting Monday. I thought that was strange but at the same time, I was thinking — wow, how nice. I can just call the dude nd get my stuff whenever I want! I called him the following week to schedule delivery and he was totally shocked said I was supposed to call a different number to get the deliver scheduled. I called that number (for Long Haul Van Lines to speak to Ron) and they said they could deliver later that week: Friday night or first thing Saturday, at the latest. Ron said he’d update me by 2pm the next day. More crickets. I finally call back for an update at 5pm and they say my things will come Saturday. I shift everything around, including finding another hotel room for my family for another night, and we’re cool with Saturday — it was in the window of the original delivery estimate. They said they’d confirm midday Friday and … crickets … I never heard back so I called again around 5pm for an update. Delivery moved to Sunday. I had to again find a hotel for my family and shift everything around with my building to accommodate delivery on a Sunday.
When I called both Alliance and Long Haul Van Lines to express my frustration with their extremely poor communication, they basically gave no f*cks. I don’t care that my things came a day late, what I care about is that if they would have just properly managed my expectations with 1) what number to call to schedule the delivery and 2) a wider delivery window in the first place, I would have been prepared. Instead I had three kids under 4 in a hotel room for an extra night with no clean clothes because I thought we’d be moved in the day prior. They didn’t offer an discount, they didn’t offer to help with the hotel, they didn’t even really care about saying they were sorry.
Oh and to top it off, I received several boxes that did NOT belong to us while my things were being delivered. I happened to catch most of them but I found two more after they left. I’m also missing a small table. I called a few days ago to inquire about my table and report the wrong boxes and Ron said he’d look into it and call back. Guess what? Even more crickets. Shocker. At least one of the boxes from the other customer says «SHOT GLASSES» on it. I guess I am going to need a few of those to overcome my frustration with these jackasses.
For what it’s worth, I highly recommend Flat Rate. They packed me up and delivered my things for my last move and they were completely buttoned up. Very great service. I would have used them again on this last move, but they didn’t move out of the state I was in.

If I had the option to give ZERO stars I would, but unfortunately I am forced to choose one.
I am still working with Alliance Moving Services and it has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had working with a moving company. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
The salesman I spoke with Jordan, made me feel comfortable using Alliance because they would handle my items from start to finish. Once I gave the deposit, Jordan no longer spoke with me even though he said he would be my contact. I sent numerous emails and tried to be connected but was told I could not speak with him.
I then had the pleasure of speaking with Vanessa and she informed me that she is the manager over every single person within Alliance Moving Services and that above her was the owner Ian Anthony. She told me she could not connect me to Jordan, HER sales rep she claimed, because he no longer knew of my move since it was turned over as if Jordan and I never spoke.
When I asked to speak to someone higher up, she reminded me that she is the highest person at the company outside of the owner, Ian Anthony, and that he does not speak to any of the clients and that I could not voice my frustrations. Vanessa’s signature on the email states Customer Service Representative but yet she said she runs the company for the owner? This boggled my mind and then she had the audacity to raise her voice at me on the phone when I explained to her the issues I was having and that their services were very deceiving. She then told me to talk to the carrier and hung up on me.
I am still dealing with Alliance Moving Services and cannot wait to be finished.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY.
1) tons of hidden charges and fees including «to wrap your couch»
2) they showed up late to collect my items by 2 days and then it took 2 weeks to get my furniture delivered, dont listen to this «we will hold it in storage for you for free if your date changes» BS — total lies
3) they damaged the hell out of my brand new house moving my stuff in, and then it took 6 months to settle the claim through an outside party and still havent received my check
4) they broke several pieces of my furniture, lost 3 boxes of my brother’s en route to his new place and then they put my bed back together with only 8 of 16 screws!!! How this company is allowed to still exist is beyond imaginable.
5) customer service is awful, you will sit on hold for hours with them as each person who answers the phone is even more CLUELESS than the last person.
THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND WILL BE SURE TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM WHEN IT COMES TO ANY FRIENDS FAMILY OR MY ENEMIES !!!

I am a fool, I should have looked on here prior to giving them my deposit. I needed a mover to move our apartment from Yakima, WA to Washington, DC with short notice after our previous moving plans fell through. I spoke to a number of moving companies but chose Alliance because of the reasonable rates and constant reassurance they gave my girlfriend and me that in fact that our stuff would actually in fact be moved from point A to B. This decision was one of my biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. I paid the deposit and told them I wanted to have my things picked up on Dec. 23^rd and was given a two day window between the 23^rd and 24^th which was fine. I got a call from James Vincent from the company on the 19^th of December going over the inventory and having him inform me that I would be contacted on the 22^nd (the day before my pickup window started) to confirm pickup time by him directly. During the phone call on the 19^th I had to re-​explain that the 23^rd was my preferred day and go over every logistic from the beginning with him regarding the travel details. On the 22^nd I never received a call during the time period James gave me in which he said he’d call. I decided to call in myself and spent 46 minutes on hold with Alliance never actually getting ahold of a live person, I had to hang up because my lunch break was over and I couldn’t wait any longer. This is a terrible way to start out a cross country move. I ended up calling the next morning when they opened, after spending 15 minutes on hold I finally got in touch with Rachell Schiappa, who couldn’t have been a more frigid ice queen if she tried. She was seriously impolite, like I was really bothering her by call, she did confirm however that I would be picked up between 3 – 6 pm on the 24^th and that I was the 2^nd load this truck was picking up assuring me of space for our Items. She also told me I’d be getting a call from the trucking company directly later that day, that never happened. At 6:30 am the next day (the 24^th and pick up day) I get a call from the ice queen herself, Rachell, saying that I in fact I was the 3^rd pickup of the day and when I reminded her of her promise she made me the day before about definitely having room for our things and also being the 2^nd pick up of the day she said I was lying and that didn’t happen. It did happen. She also informed me that our stuff was not going to be picked up and that we were S**t out of luck. It was Christmas eve, there were no other trucks, and it was also the last day we could be in our apartment. We were screwed. When I let her know of our situation and asked to speak with someone higher up, she said «thank you for choosing Alliance» and hung up the phone on me. My girlfriend called to attempt to speak to someone in management to let them know that we were going to miss Christmas with her family because of their ineptitude and after a substantial amount of time on hold she got Rachell. She told her how much we’d been screwed and asked to be transferred to management, Rachell said «happy holidays» and hung up on her also. We were stuck with a lot of packed boxes in a cold apartment hours away from our families on Christmas eve. We had to do three 10 hour round trip drives one with a mini van and on the last drive with a u-​haul that cost $ 480 to get things out of our apartment last minute to dump all of the things in my girlfriends parents garage for the time being. We missed a good deal of our last Christmas before moving across the country because of this. I moved across the country alone for a job I had to start, and she had to stay with her parents because she was left to deal with figuring out getting our things across the country virtually on her own. Alliance Moving Services is a group of soulless, heartless, cruel, lying scam artists who I feel honestly take sick pleasure in screwing over their own customers. I wish I could give them negative stars. I hope they end up bankrupt and on the streets. These are the worst human beings running the worst moving company known to man. DON’T USE ALLIENCE MOVING SERVICES!

Giving a one star is still being nice. My moving experience from MA to CA was HORRIBLE!!! Absolutely DO NOT use them!!!
I was quoted $ 1800 for the move, after I described the details of my furnitures and items. The rate was not the lowest but also not the highest. My husband was concerned about moving companies broker out moving jobs; called the company and was assured that they have their own fleet of trucks to move the furnitures.
What we actually got:
Alliance lied! They broker out the moving job to a New Jersey company and jacked up the price from $ 1800 to $ 3000!!! After I threaten to cancel the job on the spot, they lower the price down to $ 2600. The movers were very nice people but this leaves us a very bad feeling of bate and switch tactic to get out business.

APPALLING SERVICE — Wish I could give no star at all
Our experience with Alliance Moving Services Inc is excruciatingly similar to the several one star reviews written here.
In hindsight the mistakes we made were not reading the reviews prior, allowing the sales guy Napoleon to rush us to electronically sign a contract without reading through it first.
Please do your due diligence and research the customer service reviews online. The so called positive reviews they have here are suspect at best.
We moved from NYC to Miami and told Napoleon that we did not want any surprises in the pricing. We sent him an itemized list of what we were shipping out. He promised us that if we needed to speak with him he would be available to answer any further questions but once we had signed the agreement we were told, when we asked for him, that he was not available.
As per our contract Alliance were to hold our belongings in storage in Miami and as soon as we found our new apartment delivery was to take 5 – 7 business days .
Day of pick up:
A different company called All Points Moving & Storage turn up. we realized then that Alliance Moving Services Inc is a broker NOT a moving company. We had to sign new papers. They tried to have us pay for parking tickets which we refused, They charged us $ 75 dollars for 6 extra steps on a single flight of stair that we had been told (By Alliance) would be no problem, they strong armed us into accepting and signing a binding agreement of their estimate in weight and were told it could be more expensive when they weighted it in NJ. Yes the storage was now going to be in NJ not Miami as agreed upon.
So we paid an extra $ 500 dollars plus a tip $ 210 cash (we were nervous that they would not take care of our stuff if we did not comply)
Once we found our new apt in Miami we called on November 6^th and let them know we were now ready for delivery and the nightmare continued.
Tom at All Points kept promising that the driver would call us once he had left New York and give us a ETA which he never did, I had to initiate all calls.
When i called again I was told that the driver had left from New York on Monday 10^th and should be in Miami by weeks end.
Friday 14^th i called again and was told it would now be Monday or Tuesday and the driver would call. I called the driver Monday 17^th he did not know when he would get here. I then called Tom and asked them to please give me a time and was told to expect delivery Tuesday 18^th between noon and 4:00pm.
Tuesday 2,00pm I get a call saying that the move was now cancelled for that day as they had to change to a smaller truck.
Now we were getting so frustrated and decided to check their reviews on Unilocal.Alliances were appalling and All Points are bad too. I became super nervous
I decide to begin taking video of the calls.
I called Alliance and got an assurance via email stating that the move would be Wednesday 9am.
Day of Delivery:
9:05am I call Tom who says that it will now be 10:30 to 11:00am
11:15: I call Tom and am told that the driver is on his way from Fort Lauderdale a 30 min trip
I call Alliance again and am told very rudely that that is the way it is and they have up to 21 days for delivery. When I told her I was taping the call she said she did not care.
I spoke with Tom who then started yelling at me, he told me he should be charging us a shuttle fee of $ 400 as an 18 wheeler would not fit on my street!
2:30pm My husband then called and was told the guy was outside. Over 5 hours late.
We now had to pay money orders to yet another company not All Points (they farmed it out). One guy by himself. Both my husband and I had to help him with everything.
It was evident that our stuff had been moved or should I say thrown about especially it seems, the fragile labelled boxes.
So we thought we signed with Alliance Moving Services Inc who brokered it to All Points Moving & Services who then dropped it off to another company’s storage in Fort Lauderdale where it was transferred again and picked up for delivery to our new place.
The reason they could not be clear in communication is that these companies are involved in giving the customer the impression that it is one seamless move.
It was so incredibly stressful that we will never use movers again I have no idea why they are able to get away with ripping customers off like this.
We had so many items broken that it is too long for me to list here.
Check their so called 5 star reviews carefully I do not think they are real
DO NOT USE ALLIANCE MOVING SERVICES INC & ALL POINTS MOVING AND SERVICES

I either write a review when the service has been top notch, or with the case of Alliance when it is a nightmare for which others need to be warned.
DO NOT use their service. They will start out great, working with you, telling you to just list the large items and heavy items (because honestly at the start of a move, who has everything in boxes). Then, that is when they get you. Rather than the other services (Mayflower, United, Allied, Atlas) that send out someone to survey your items and make an accurate cost total, Alliance will show up (late and after their offices are closed so you cannot ask any questions) and then extort you for much more (in my case for close to 2K more.
My advice to anyone out there — go with a service that will send someone out to your house to survey your items. It may make the process lengthier, but think about it, you are moving all of your goods, an extra appointment is well worth the inevitable headache you will get with these shady extortioners.

What a surprise to have signed a contract with alliance, only to find the work was fielded out to fly by night, incompetent, grifters. After two weeks of bait and switch delivery dates costing me ²¹⁄₂ days of work, my delivery arrived. the dispatcher called after the truck was unloaded asking if everything was ok. It was only after they left that I realized there were boxes of smashed China, an antique dresser missing 3 out of 4 wooden wheels, knobs looking like they were ground off, cephalon pots missing…
I tried emailing alliance, both emails on the contract were undeliverable. I tried calling, I was put on hold 4 times for 8– 10 minutes,
Never got through.
I would not recommend this company and plan on reporting them tobetter business.

SERIOUSLY, STAY AWAY!!! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, PUSHY AND RUDE.
I moved with Armic moving company which this company sold my bid to in early June from IL to New York City. I had already moved prior to that, i had to begin my duties at my new job. My family packed all of my belongings in boxes and as per the moving company, they were supposed to take apart my furniture, precisely to prevent damage, and bring it to NYC and re assemble it.
When the movers arrived to the IL address, they did not have tools to take the furniture apart, which meant my father had to take furniture apart. He took apart a very large wardrobe (of Particle Board and/​or Engineered Wood (Pressed Wood) and some other items. Those items arrived in perfect condition (a few scratches here and there but nothing serious).
The problem came when the men arrived and right off the bat charged me for the COD or they wouldn’t begin unloading.
When they were finished unloading, the supervisor said that they did not have the tools to build the furniture therefore they were not going to do it. The supervisor said that the desk and the bookcase broke and he proceeded to give me an insurance complaint form. Later on, i realized my coffee table was missing.
I filed all the appropriate paperwork and found the items online for comparison so that they could reimburse me appropriately. I just received a settlement letter from CSI Pros for $ 24.
The total value of the damaged and lost items was $ 1400. How is $ 1400 worth of furniture that they damaged and lost worth only $ 24?
In the settlement letter it states:
«Furniture manufactured from Particle Board and/​or Engineered Wood (Pressed Wood), is designed to be shipped unassembled. It is not built to withstand the normal stresses and rigors of transportation as an assembled unit due to the inherent weakness built into this type of furniture. Therefore, the carrier must respectfully decline this portion of your claim.»
The items were unassembled and they were still damaged. The lost coffee table was worth $ 999 and it is the only thing i will be compensated for at $ 24.
This seems very unrealistic and unfair. I am not at fault for damaging and losing the furniture, in fact, if i had known how much worth of furniture i would lose i would’ve hired a more reputable company to handle my move.
STAY AWAY!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!

After living in Astoria for over 12 years, I had to move out of my apartment (3 bedrooms), to Trenton in New Jersey. Packing up all my things was nothing but a challenge, and the idea of driving through Manhattan and to the Turnpike, freaked me out. I went to Alliance and explained my situation. They were nice with me and from the packing to the transportation all was fantastic.
In the end I paid pretty much what they had told it would be, and they didn’t have any bad surprises for me.
Once in Trenton, the move was complete with a great work by the movers who only showed patience and expertise when it came to bring things in the house.
I was surprised to see how prepared Alliance was for my overflowing questions, and I honestly didn’t think it would be so easy to move out of my place.

Completely unprofessional. I was badgered continuously by the salesperson I spoke to who called me NINE times in a two hour period. When I told him that we had chosen to go with another service he responded with, «Oh I actually feel sorry for you guys, and you’ve got to work on your lying abilities, cause that one sucked»
As if that was not childish enough, he called me back moments later from the 800 number, yelled at me and hung up again.
I can’t imagine putting my valuables into the hands of a company who would allow that kind of customer service.

About two months after my terrible experience with Alliance a rep of the company reached out to me via Unilocal,offering me a monetary compensation for the move and my awful experience. The company went under new ownership and the new CEO wants to compensate customers that had a terrible moving experience. «Name me any amount and we’ll make it work».
After sending him an email with a detailed explanation of my case, including the requested amount, I never heard back from him. He wouldn’t reply to my emails or return my calls.
I’m not sure if I should laugh or cry — just ridiculous.
