My roommate and I had such a fantastic experience with Anna. She went out of her way to get us our amazing 2 bedroom apartment in a brand new building! and we couldn’t be anymore thankful.
We needed a place pretty fast, so she quickly understood what we are looking for and made herself available the following day to give us a tour of all the places that matched our criteria. The next day Anna was kind enough to drive us to all the apartments (which by the way were exclusive for Sterling Realty). She was incredibly honest and gave us all the pros and cons for each apartment. We made our decision the same day, left a deposit and within 24 hours signed our lease for our AWESOME 2 bedroom apartment in a brand new building!

We had the professional and pleasant experience of working with Anna to find a three bedroom apartment within our parameters (price, distance to subway, etc.). She took the time to research the market for us and showed us numerous properties. We were not an easy group to work with. All three of us wanted specific amenities in the apartment. After looking around for a while through other agencies and not finding anything that was quite a fit, we turned to Sterling on 23^rd ave. We fell in love with the first place Andreas showed us. He made sure we get the place and, in addition to being gracious and kind, was extremely understanding of our particular needs and circumstances and made sure the lease accommodates them. I worked with both Andreas and Helen, who worked day in and day out to find us the perfect apartment. We were three girls looking for a nice, affordable 3 bedroom in Astoria that was pet-​friendly. Andreas bought us coffees and physically drove us to and from apartment showings. Helen consistently followed up with me, and I received at least 8 phone calls within 3 days asking how I was, if we liked an apartment, even if she wasn’t the one who showed us. If you’ve ever looked for an apartment in New York, then you’re aware it’s kind of like the Hunger Games. When my fiancé and I were trying to find a place in Astoria that would be move in ready by the end of May at the latest (we had to be out of graduate student housing before June), we did not know what we were up against before we started our search. Luckily, we found Sterling Realty on StreetEasy, and even more fortuitous we got connected with Dmitry!
Dmitry definitely came through for us after we had our first apartment essentially stolen out from under us at the last second. He quickly helped us problem solve the situation and offered to show us another apartment the next day that wasn’t even on the market yet. We ended up falling in love with the new place and locked it down on the spot – plus, it was in a MUCH better than the first apartment we lost (everything happens for a reason, right?)
Bottom line: if you are looking for an apartment in Astoria, definitely go with Dmitry at Sterling Realty, you won’t be disappointed!

We worked with Andreas, the owner of the place. We sort of stumbled upon Sterling Realty when we were looking at apartments in the area. We were immediately greeted by one of his agents, whom we communicated our needs. We were fortunate to have Andreas there within a couple minutes we walked in. Understanding our needs, he quickly showed us a place that came in the market recently. My friend and I were both pleased with the place and decided to sign immediately. The approval process, signing, and meeting the landlord all took within two days, which could have taken a couple hours had we been more prepared the first day. The entire process moved extremely quick and efficient — only capable with Andreas’s dexterity in client services and business efficiency. He was a pleasure to work with, and a trusted resource for all who have the privilege of doing so.

My roommates and I were scrambling to find an affordable apartment in Astoria. We had done quite a bit of looking already and were feeling discouraged. We contacted Andreas through a post on StreetEasy and as soon as we met him we felt more relaxed. He was much more genuine and kind than other brokers we had met. He knew a lot about the apartment and the neighborhood and clearly had a great relationship with the landlords (important!). We fell in love with the apartment and wanted it right away, but were unable to meet up to sign the lease until 24 hours later. As many people in NYC will tell you — usually waiting 24 hours to sign a lease will mean that someone else could steal the apartment out from under you. Andreas trusted us and made sure that the landlords stopped showing the apartment. The next evening we signed the lease and got the keys! Overall it was a great experience. I highly recommend Andreas and Sterling!

Husband and I tried looking for a pet-​friendly two bedroom apartment in Astoria without a realtor and it wasn’t happening.
I saw an apartment on Streeteasy that Dmitri from Sterling Realty posted. I called him and he responded right away. He showed us the apartment the next day — a Sunday evening. He made a special trip to the office to meet us and to show. It was the perfect apartment for us and Sterling has a great relationship with the landlord so they got all our questions answered right away.
We saw the apartment in early April for a June 1 move in which is so rare. We move in soon and can’t be more excited thanks to Dmitri at Sterling!

We found a listing on streeteasy and got in touch with Dmitry. He was easy to communicate with and quick with his responses. Dmitry was very accommodating and showed us the apartment in the early evening about 530pm after we could get out of work.
Dmitry was honest and not pushy at all. We loved the place and sent in an application that was approved a few hours later! Before signing the lease, we wanted to see the apartment again and Dmitry was very accommodating about that. He even drove us back to the office to sign the lease after so we didn’t have to take the subway in the cold!
All-​in-​all, it took about 3 – 4 days from seeing the apartment to signing the lease. Really quick and easy and not stressful at all! I highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment in Astoria/​LIC to contact Dmitry!

I am very satisfy with The real state agent that help me Karyn Shipsey she was very nice answer all our questions and got us a great place, we are very happy we was looking for a apartment for a while and the real state agents we was dealing with before was not honest will just rush us to just take the money lied etc but with Karyn i recommend her she was totally different compare to the other agents she was the best and very honest.
