History

Established in 1999.

Sissy McGinty’s is the only authentic Irish pub on Steinway Street in the heart of Astoria, Queens. Named after a bar in his hometown of County Roscommon, Ireland, owner John brings the fun, drinks, and bright atmosphere to this diverse neighborhood, and caters to people of all ages.

Entertainment & events such as local dart leagues, karaōke night, trivia, a standard pool table, themed holiday parties, and professional sports aired on 10 flat screen TVs keep the locals flocking! Best of all, there is a back room for private events with availability for catering arrangements. The bar is also BYOF (Bring Your Own Food), so you can order in and taste your favorite cuisines from the neighborhood — to be washed down with some of Sissy’s libations of course! Whatever your desire, it’s here at Sissy McGinty’s. Come often, and let us buy you a drink!
