Rapawzel Dog Groomer

Rapawzel is a wonderful local grooming company! I have 3 shih tzus that always come out beautiful, with little bows and bow ties as a plus. She does it all — bath, nails, cut, style. My dogs feel safe and comfortable going there which is also important to me. Highly recommended!

Very happy with Louie’s cut! The owner is very gentle and takes great care of him while he is there. He is never fretful when he leaves and always smells fantastic! It’s no glamorous shop or anything but care is taken and she does a great job.

A good (though not perfect) grooming for a great price. But the most important thing I can say is that after the very first time I brought my yorkie-​poo, every time since then, she gets to the block and knows exactly where we’re going and she pulls me there! She is excited to go to the groomer and I think that says all you need to know!

Three years later and my pups are still going to Renata! The Repawzel team is fantastic. My pups love them, Renata is always accommodating to my crazy schedule and most importantly, my fur kids, a pom/​chi mix and a lhasa/​yorkie mix, come out smelling and looking great! Thank you as always for your stellar services.

My husband and I have been taking our 2 Yorkies to Renata (the owner) for the last 3 years and we couldn’t be happier. She always does such a good job, our dogs love her, and her prices are very reasonable as she does her business out of her own home. Renata is extremely accommodating and just a very nice and professional person. We live on 30^th Avenue so it’s a bit out of the way for us, but while the girls (our Yorkies) are getting pampered, we go see a movie At the UF Kaufman. There’ve been many times when Renata was done making our girls beautiful and we still had like ²⁰⁄₃₀ minutes left of the movie. Renata was absolutely fine with us finishing the movie, which we’re sure doesn’t make it easy for her as she’s running a business and has appointments one after another, meaning that while she’s watching our 2 pups, more pups are coming for their spa day resulting in a full house. And we SO appreciate this.
Which brings me to Fedaling A’s negative review. First of all, Renata is very busy and never makes an appointment for «after» a certain hour. All her appointments are made an exact time so this makes me wonder if this person misunderstood the time or was running very late. For our very first appointment, we were 30 minutes late because my iPhone GPS gave me the wrong directions! However, Renata couldn’t have been nicer and since she didn’t have any appointments after us, she was absolutely happy to take our girls. However if she wouldn’t have been able to due to another appointment, we would have completely understood. In addition, calling Renata «dumb» and «stupid» is just so wrong. Renata is very good at what she does and we wouldn’t trust our dogs to any other groomer our there. We strongly recommend her to anyone who wants their dogs to be pampered and look flawless.

So who ever the woman is in there is like really dumb. I called a day early to book an appointment for a groomer and the lady told me the following day after 3 would be okay. Then I call the next day to just confirm and let her know that I’ll be coming in in a couple of minutes and the lady literally is like «Ooh well I don’t think it would be good to come today because I have another dog to do». So then why the fuck would make an appointment for me to come after three. I hate stupid people. And the worst thing is now I’m basing my opinion of this business off of one incompetent person and not the service. That suck. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND TO GO HERE especially if they can’t keep a damn appointment. Ugh

I have cats, so I really don’t need much when it comes to grooming for my kids. I have been bringing Midnight here for a nail trim every couple of months for the last couple of years. When we first started coming, I could tell Renata wasn’t very familiar with cats, but she learned quickly how to deal with a nervous feline. She is very accommodating with your schedule and will make sure to minimize the canine interference when working with your cat. Reasonable price for a nail trim and close to home. I have no reason to go elsewhere. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Midnight is happy so that means I’m happy too.

Great service and very reasonable prices. This place is definitely a ‘hidden gem’ as it’s on the 1^st floor of a residential building with no sign, but the staff is WONDERFUL — extremely professional and patient. One of the best grooming experiences we’ve had with our 2 dogs. Renata is fabulous — she was extremely thorough and I could immediately sense from her demeanor that our dogs were in good hands.
We just moved to Sunnyside with our 2 dogs from Atlanta and the dogs were SO dirty. Rapawzel had them both fully bathed and ready for pickup in under 2 hours. I rarely write reviews, but I highly recommend this place.

Renata is the best. I have 2 dogs, an 11 year old Spaniel mix and a 2 ½ year old pugglyear. She does an awesome job. Did exactly what I requested. I do like the fact that she doesn’t lock the dogs in cages while they wait their turn. You can tell she loves what she does and loves animals. Would not take my dogs anywhere else

Renata is amazing! We bring our two year old Havanese, Electra to her every month. She is so loving and gentle that Electra can’t wait to get in and give Renata kisses. Her grooming style is always perfect. She makes our little Electra look like a show dog every time and she smells fabulous too.

Renata is the best groomer in town! She treated my dog with care and was in contact with me throughout the time my dog stayed with her, even sending me pictures of the process. He came back home looking adorable as ever with a new bow accessory from Renata. Highly recommend her and will be back again.

If you’re looking for good quality and good prices, look no further. Renatta and her team are excellent groomers! In addition, they are professionals, keeping a tight schedule and good communication.
My morkie, Cookie, looks like a little princess when I pick her up. She’s happy. That makes me happy. My baby visits Rapawnzel once a month!

I was really excited to take my dog here because of all the glowing reviews, but Im sorry to say my experience was less than favorable.
First off, she was late for the appointment. Secondly, I didn’t realize the business was run out of her apartment… which would have been fine except the grooming area wasn’t set up when I arrived and she seemed distracted by her son.
So I ended up (hesitantly) leaving my dog for a haircut only to come back to an unevenly groomed dog. Renata stated that my dog wouldn’t stay still so she had to cut her hair by hand with scissors. The result was awful. My poor dogs hair was short in some areas, longer in others! She looked sick.
Im sorry to say that I will not be bringing my dog back here. Renata was a nice lady but the results spoke for themselves.

We recently brought our newly adopted 7 year old shih tzu to Renata for a bath and haircut. Renata was very friendly and knowledgable. Our baby came back as squeeky clean and her hair was super soft. Renata also pointed out that our dog had an ear infection and recommended we see a vet to fix the problem. Overall, we are extremely happy with the service and our Chonsy Bear looks as cute as ever.

Giaco LOVES Renata! He literally ran out the door when I said it was time to go visit Ms. Renata for a bath. The proof is easily seen— he always looks FABULOUS when she is finished, and he knows it. And, as usual very affordable. Who needs Manhattan groomers when the same quality is down the street at less than half the Manhattan clip?

So happy my friend told me about Renata! She is so friendly and great at what she does. I am very selective on who I trust my dog with as she is very shy and scared. Instantly she was comfortable at Renata’s. I felt great about leaving her. Later my husband picked her up. When I got home to see her I could not believe my eyes! She was just adorable! I would recommend her to anyone! She is very affordable and great with dogs and did a fantastic job!

First time I used Renata and could not have been more pleased. Scheduled a time to drop Lainey off the day before. Renata called me an hour later and told me she was ready to be picked up. My 7 month old rescue puppy hates being brushed so I was worried she wouldn’t behave, but she was happy as a clam when I picked her up. She also looked amazing and felt wonderful. Nails trimmed, hair cut was great and her hair was so soft!
Great price and amazing service! I will be back and will recommend Renata to friends!

Awesome groomer! Reneta did an amazing job with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The prices were great and she is super nice!

Sooo much cheaper than anywhere else. Renata even apologized for the fact the price had gone up $ 5. And was able to cut my chiweenie’s nails, as much as my dog was struggling the entire time.
She works out of her apartment which is a little cramped and was very hot, but all in all, I was very satisfied with my long haired chihuahua’s cut and will certainly return.

Renata is a great groomer, very professional. She tries to be flexible with scheduling but definitely prefer you to schedule in advance. She does a really good job and I can see that my Pomeranian enjoys the process and love the attention. She’s fair with price. She did mention about raising price in 2013 which I hope it won’t be too much because I’d like to stick with her service in a long run.
