I wanted to like this place. This stretch of 14th Street is quite barren and depressing and upon passing by this place one day, it looked like they are really trying to make it look nice. A friend and I tried their food once… takeout. In a word it was ‘horrid’. I think the place is run by Mexicans, and while they may speak the same language as Spaniards, that doesn’t mean they necessarily know how to do tapas. We got some type of sausage that was chewy and swimming in grease. A tortilla that was covered in… catsup! I can’t remember what else we got but… if they want to come off as a more upscale Spanish tapas place, they would be wise to re-think their menu and get some tips from someone who knows how to do true Spanish tapas. Otherwise this is just a fancy looking ‘latin food greasy spoon’ type place.
