The most awful experience… I bought there a love-​seat for our small living room. According to the clerk (Iany, I think was her name) this was leather at an unbeatable price of $ 550… (yet another lesson that it’s too expensive to buy cheap…) They delivered in one day (which was nice of them). When the sofa was unpacked I was surprised that there was no smell of leather and only smell of glue. Then I found a warning stapled to the bottom of the sofa stating that the materials may contain Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. The sofa was manufactured in China, so I decided that «may contain» in the warning could be translated as «definitely contains». The material also was bonded leather, not real leather. With the baby on its way and a family history of lymphoma I decided to return the sofa the next day. That’s where all the fun began. They refused first to accept the sofa citing their return policy (NO RETURNS). We said that they did not tell us about the Formaldehyde. They said that this is manufacturer information and how are they supposed to know it which I thought was quite interesting. After a weak of going there every day and almost filing with a Small Claim Court they agreed to take it back and give us $ 450 back. So we lost $ 100, lots of nerves and time for a stupid smelly sofa. After this, we bought a nice leather sofa at Macy’s for over twice as much. No warnings and no formaldehyde, just leather…
