Amazing food. Phenomenal service. The lemon chicken is served with the most succulent olives I’ve ever tasted. We spoke with the chef and she told us she masks the olives in house. The fresh flavors and expert spicing made this one of the greatest meals I’ve had in New York. I went with two other friends, so we split a few dishes. We remarked several times about how we didn’t feel we were eating restaurant food; we felt like every dish was something the chef would serve to her own family. Everything. I mean everything was amazing! We will definitely be back.

Non-diner review. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Saturday night to an empty restaurant(literally zero customers) and a barking dog in one of the booths. Really. The hostess walked up to us slowly from the back without greeting us and after we said we were there for dinner she said there was a party at 10pm, with a tone of «I really don’t want you here.»(Keep in mind it’s 6:30 at this point.) We mentioned we had an Amazon Local deal and she said it was not valid Saturday(the terms do NOT say that). So we left. The place is lit by an emergency floodlight type light at the back and generally has a very creepy feel to it. A barking dog in a booth! I will be getting a refund on the Amazon Local deal and we will never return to this place even though we live right around the corner. I may also call the health department. Very skeevy and creepy. I highly suspect some of these other reviews are fraudulent. My wife and I are sitting at another restaurant down the street right now still just totally weirded out by our two minutes spent in Jarfi’s.

This is an exceptional addition to the Astoria dining scene. Excellent chef and extremely kind and hospitable staff. Anything on the menu is authentic and delicious, particularly the lemon chicken tangine and the lamb couscous.

I came back several times since my first review. verdict: the chicken with lemon and olives is still amazing, the couscous is very good, the tagine with prunes is simply awesome, the ground beef tagine with tomato and eggs is really delicious, and the pastillas are as good if not better as the reviews said they were. ln short: a reliable place where to enjoy excellent food in a relaxing ambiance… and the neighborhood is calm enough to always find a spot where to park your car.

The food was fabulous, the décor is pretty and relaxing. The chef came out to talk with us and was really nice. We started out with an olive spread… our table was full of olive lovers, so that was gone in an instant. We then got some Zaalouka, hummus, and a roasted eggplant dip. all three were delicious. Two people ordered the lemon chicken that was just spectacular. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. I got couscous and that was awesome. just the right amount of sauce, flavor smen. soooo goood. We were also lucky enough to go on a day they were making chicken pastilla, so that’s what the 4th person got and it was awesome. Crispy on the outside, flavorful filling. Last but not least, the sangria was delicious too! All in all, it was an awesome night!

Came in after 11pm and even though the kitchen was closed, the owner/chef opened it up and honestly prepared the most delicious meal. This is my 3rd time there and it gets better and better each time. Tonight the beef kabob was tender and juicy and my girlfriends lemon chicken had the tastiest sauce. We got a huge container of farm fresh grilled zucchini and tomatoes that hit the spot. The food was ready in 25 – 30 minutes and was the perfect amount for two very hungry people. Can’t believe this place isn’t packed every night! A must try for sure.

Really good food which didn’t break the bank. Drinks were also priced almost like happy hour prices at other bars in the area. Awesome atmosphere and décor with a really friendly and attentive staff. Will Definitely being going back and highly recommend this hookah bar /lounge /restaurant

Sangria — maybe the best I’ve ever had. Wonderful, friendly service. Good music. Perfect in good weather — open air. Havent tried the food yet, but will definitely be back. Beautiful inside, great date spot.

Jarfi’s is a nice addition to the area. They have comfy sofas, mellow music, and a friendly staff. The Moroccan décor looked great and was inviting. My fiancé and I walked in with the intention of having a quick drink and we ended up staying for 3 drinks each and hookah. Will definitely go back.

The first time we ordered from here it was about 45 minutes before the restaurant closes, according to the hours posted online. Well, about 15 minutes before they were to close, we got a call saying they couldn’t deliver because it was too late. The idea is understandable, but why did it take 30 minutes to call us? That’s just sloppy and as a result we didn’t reorder food until then, making dinner very late for no good reason. The second time we ordered we did get our food, and I wanted to like it… but no. Just no. See my pics of the pita bread with some plastic baked in for extra flavor! Ironically I thought these were store-bought pita bread, which is pretty upsetting considering a place like this should absolutely be making their own pita bread. Either way — they baked in plastic or served store-bought pita — makes it a fail. The real reason we’ll never be ordering from here again, though, was the raw chicken. My kabob had great flavor, lots of veggies, well made couscous… and raw insides. Too bad. My husband’s beef kabobs were cooked through but lacking flavor.

Extraordinary creativity, excellent food and Wonderful Staff with outstanding service. I have truly come to love this place. I travel all the way from Brooklyn to be here on the weekends. If you like hookah or delicious pastries certainly this is the place to come. My sister and I were recently there and they had a belly dancer that was also a lot of fun. I’ve tried quite a few dishes there, enjoyed every one of them. So far my favorite is the chicken pastille. If you know anything about Moroccan food, you would know that making this is a labor of love. You taste it in every bite! Stop by kick back, relax and make a few new life long friends :) The value for the money is good also.

I really enjoyed eating here. The food was excellent. It gets 3 stars because it has no liquor license. Too bad it takes forever to get one in Astoria. We’ve been to several places without a liq lic and they all say the same thing…2 weeks. Next time we go, I’ll ask to byob. Otherwise food is 4 star

Loved this restaurant! I definitely recommend it to anyone. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. The prices are affordable and very reasonable. The only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the menu needs a few more items. However, the things I did have were extremely good! Come out and try Jarfis! :)

Great addition to 21st street! We needed a nice little restaurant/lounge in this area besides Vesta, and finally Jarfis is here! The food is good and the staff is really friendly. The appetizer salads are really delicious. The ambiance is really cool too. Hookah is an option as well! Def. check this place out!!!
