Established in 2008.

Made with respect for the origins of cacao, the well-​being of our society, & Earth’s natural majesty, Gnosis products celebrate health, exquisite flavor, and integrity. We begin with ethically sourced Raw Cacao from Bali, Ecuador, and Peru — and add superfoods, low glycemic sweeteners, nutrient dense fruits, nuts, & medicinal herbs sourced fastidiously from the Amazon to the Himalayas. Gnosis works directly with our producers to verify fair labor practices and Raw Integrity. We use post-​consumer recycled and biodegradable packaging with vegetable based inks, and environmental consciousness with every step. We donate 10% of all profits to the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation and support dozens of local and international causes.

Business Owner

The founder of Gnosis Chocolate is Vanessa Barg (aka Chocolate Girl), a Certified Holistic Health Counselor, began making chocolate as a gift for her clients motivated by her passion for health, nutrition, and the amazing qualities of unique foods. In just the second year of business, Vanessa has already visited several of our sources — working with them to assure quality, working conditions, and to support the growth of organic farming (view links to her project reports on the right panel). Our products are the wings upon which Vanessa’s mission of integrative nutrition and sustainable business flies. With loving intentions, Team Gnosis loves creating the ultimate nourishing chocolate experience by incorporating delicious superfoods and new sustainable options into all of our products.
