The pizza went from avg. about two years ago to that«grease on tasteless cardboard» consistency that is better kept for those 99 cent slice spots in the city.

I was super disappointed/angry to the casher guy. He was so rude. I used coupon and I think he was not happy with that. At first, he was fine but after we asked cups for juice, forks, and to go box, he said we needed something too much. How he can say like that to customers??? Food was acceptable and the kitchen stuff was friendly. We’ll never visit here again.

Echoing everyone else’s sentiments here, DONOT order delivery from this place. And here’s a bet, for sh1ts and giggles: If you DO order, try giving a call to the place to check status. It’s the most surreal, obnoxious experience. Like talking to a bank’s phone prompt answering machine, except it’s a real person: «Hi I’d like to check the status of a pizza I ordered.» «It just left.» «Wait, how do you know what I ordered?» «He’s leaving right now.» «Wut? I thought you just said it left… without knowing what it was, I might add…» «It just left.» :\ Werrrrt-wurr. Save yourself some aggravation and just order from Piazza Pizza around the block. They’re cool and they’re pizza’s better anyway.

Ordered at 9.14pm according to the email from . Called them at 10.17pm to ask where it was, and was told 5 minutes more. Called at 10.30pm to ask where it was, again told 5 minutes more. Called at 10.45pm to ask where it was, and get this — the guy on the other end says ‘5min more! 5 min more!’ Without even asking who i was, which order i was referring to. Literally: Me: Hi, checking on my pizza delivery… Guy: 5 min more! 5 min more! Me: You don’t even know which order this is! First proven case of telepathy or just awful liars? I killed the order and called to confirm cancellation. Can’t review food if it never arrives.

THISISNOWBLACKLISTEDFORME. I placed an order for delivery here last night and wanted to share my negative experience to save others from this. I placed my order at 6:51pm, order confirmed at 7:00pm. Got a call at 8:18pm saying that the delivery guy didn’t have a bike lock and wanted me to come downstairs to get the order. I live on the top floor of a 7 floor building so it wasn’t convenient for me to not only wait 90 minutes for delivery and NOT have the food delivered to my door. If the food had been good it would have saved the whole experience. But when we got our pizza, it was squished and not even warm. Parts were cold and looked like it had been reheated. Not even fresh. If I had read the reviews from , most of the above had similar experiences. I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

We ordered a large pie with pepperoni, a simple order, for delivery. We were told it would be 45 minutes. One hour and 15 minutes later, the delivery man arrives with our food. Normally, we don’t check the order, but for some reason we did. The pizza pie arrived a mess. What should have been a pie looked like odds and end slices, reheated, that were tossed in the box, all flipped over. I called the pizzeria and informed them and he asked if we wanted another one. I asked him how soon could he deliver a fresh pie. A half hour? He said he couldn’t because the delivery guy had another delivery and then had to return to the shop.(So he couldn’t make a fresh pie while awaiting the return of the driver to quickly send it out?!? Or is that to logical?!?) We told him forget it. We’ve had their pizza before in a pinch. Both to eat in and for delivery. Dining in, the service is slow, no one checks the tables on a regular basis for cleanliness, light fixtures are slowly falling off the walls… the establishment is falling apart. The only up side is that when you eat in, you can watch them as they handle the food. And bring to their attention the issue. This, however, was the last straw. I do not recommend this pizzeria to anyone.

The only reason this joint merits two stars is that the food was actually surprisingly edible, despite my fears after waiting an hour and a half for it to show and two calls of complaint that were received by the most incompetent, rude, insincere little twatnozzle(named Josh, allegedly) I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. He simply didn’t care that I was upset with the service. But, after reading a dozen or so similar reviews of this place I’m inclined to suspect that we got a respectively midrange experience out of the habitual underwhelmer that is Gino’s Pizza.

Ive been here before and the service was horrific. And Uhm. What pizzeria doesn’t have rice balls? Lol anyway. I ordered off seamless… and it says 35 – 45 min for delivery. It was about an hour later so I decided to call. The guy gave me such an attitude and said«the food was delivered already.» I’m like«no it was not. I am literally outside and no one is here and I never received my food.» Long story short. He was a d.i.c.k to me and so I called Unilocal and they called to see what is wrong. The SAME guy gave her an attitude. Cursed at her. And hung up. They are off seamless now. They are rude and their food sucks. Don’t go…

Pizza’s not bad but it’s expensive. Still, it’s near by, so I’ll keep going.

First thing you notice is the poor condition and dirtiness of the facility. Tables are crowded in the back, and each one is littered with plates, napkins or crumbs. There are no fountain drinks. No ice. There isn’t any music and nothing to look at as you wait for your food. The bread is encrusted in garlic and olive oil. It was hot and pretty tasty. The salad was average. Their special dressing is okay but isn’t really a standout. The eggplant Parmesan was pretty awful. It was soggy and drenched in a tomato sauce that was too sweet and without much seasoning. The cashier was pretty rude to the delivery driver. He asked him condescendingly if he had two eyes. «Can you read?» He shouted. I hope he can read this review. Gino’s sucks.

Don’t order delivery from them! They took 1 hour and 15 minutes and then delivered the wrong order! Had to call seamless to get money refunded because I couldn’t get ahold of anyone

Best thing about this place is their salad. Baked ziti was mushy, flavorless, and took about hour and 30 minutes to get to my door. When I called after waiting over an hour, the guy who answered the phone was rude and did not even apologize. I’ve tried them few times but I’m definitely done ordering from them!

Great pie, if a little sparse on the pepperoni. Individual slices are subject to the reheating process, but definitely a solid bet if you’re ordering for a party. Great sicilian and traditional pies.

Probably the best tasting pizza in Astoria. Also, the zeppoles aren’t bad, but I’ve definitely had better. Delivery was also quick.

Listen, Astoria is not known for its pizza. Very difficult to find a good NY style pizza. Finally found Gino’s and have returned multiple times for more. I wouldn’t bring someone there who wants quality NYC pie, but this gets the job done quiet well. Delivery is fast, price is reasonable. Thus far my favorite astoria pizza place.

I feel like I spend so much time praising succulent balls on Unilocal that my wife might start getting the wrong idea. But these are balls worth gushing about.(For you conservatives out there, I’ll just call them arancini di riso). Rice balls are by far my favorite Italian dish, and these guys, one of the few restaurants in the area that make them, do it right. Lightly crispy fried outside, tender and delicious rice, meat and peas on the inside. Drenched in some of Gino’s famous marinara, these arancini will make even the most insecure dude wish he had a couple in his mouth.(Get a side order of sauce!) The homemade salad dressing was complete garbage, but I can let that slide. Man up. Get some balls.

I ordered my food at 9:25pm and it said it was going to be 40mins max. Now i understand sometimes it can take a little longer but it took them an hour and 20min(my food didn’t show up til 10:45pm) and it was not only COLD but WRONG. i called them to ask what the problem was and to complain(i didnt want anything for free or anything but wanted to tell them my issue) The manager was RUDE and NASTY and then hung up on me. I will never order from there again

Good pizza in Astoria is very hard to come by. However, Gino’s is probably the best Astoria has to offer. Much of Astoria pizza is flavorless dough with typical ingredients, but Gino’s really flavors it up well. They seem to deliver almost all over Astoria and have many great options. Considering we order pizza so infrequently, I had forgotten about Gino’s for a while and tried a few other places… so glad I remembered it because we have now reclaimed our go-to pizza delivery spot. The grandma slice is great! Also, my friends loved the buffalo chicken(although I personally didn’t have a slice of that or try it).
