FCLS Car & Limo

I will never use FCLS (
) again. I booked them through
for a NY LaGuardia pickup. I was flying from California via Chicago. When I landed in Chicago, I saw my connecting flight was delayed. I had received my FCLS driver’s cell phone number via
, so I texted and called to bring the delay to the driver’s attention. I expect drivers to monitor flight status, but I thought I’d make contact as a courtesy and to be thorough. The driver said it was no problem and to let him know when I was on the move… As often happens, they delayed the flight 3 times (bumping it back an hour-​plus each time. As I was finally boarding the flight (that had been delayed for 3.5 hours) I sent a text to the driver. I immediately got a call from «the owner» of the company. He asked if I was in Chicago and I said I was just boarding. He asked me to confirm my flight number and I did. He said, «I’m sorry, but you’re about to land.» I said, «No, I’m about to take off.» He said, «I’m with my driver and he’s been waiting for you since 5:30.» I told «the owner» that the flight had been delayed and that I had called earlier. He went on to say that wasn’t true and that he would have to charge me waiting time if they were going to pick me up. I told him I wasn’t going to pay for waiting time and then I boarded the plane.
While on the plane I got WiFi and wrote to
customer service to relate this story…
Once I landed at LaGuardia I called my driver. There was no answer. I called
customer service and they were apologetic and helpful. They called the FCLS and I had a car within 20 minutes. The car was nice and the driver was pleasant. The next day I got the bill and FCLS had charged me for all the wait time – even though they weren’t there waiting when I arrived! I again contacted
and they refunded me the wait time charges. In short:
, great; FCLS, terrible.

I can’t believe this company is in business! Absolutely terrible service. After booking on
, where this company has nearly a five star rating, I thought my wife and I were in for a relaxing trip to our hotel from LaGuardia. Ummm, no! The car was about to fall apart. It made every noise possible, the shocks bottomed out, the brakes squeaked, AND the driver got a ticket!
When I put a bad review on the site, the office called me and nearly cussed me out and saying, «what are you, a mechanic?!» I couldn’t believe they were talking to me this way. If they were really a 5 star company, you would think they would have called to apologize for the absolutely horrendous service I just received! Instead, He turned it around like I was the bad guy.
Beware! I think this company is going out to
and other sites falsely writing great reviews in order to prop their ratings up, masking the illegitimacy of their company.

I am writing this review based on my experience with F C L S on two occasions booked via
. I wasn’t familiar with limo companies in New York so I opted to select a limo company that had an Elite Service rating via the website.
This rating had special meaning and meant that my entire experience would be FIRST CLASS.
Here are highlights of the rating:
* Awarded to select operators with an intensive focus on customer service.
* Exceptional, mint condition vehicles less than 2 years old.
* 100% money back on-​time pick-​up & customer satisfaction guarantee.
* …luxury amenities like daily newspaper and bottled water.
After booking via the
website I received a confirmation for only one of my two reservations. I called F C L S and they sent original one again. On another day, I called again and never received the confirmation. I called for a third time and finally received the confirmation for my second reservation.
When I received the confirmations for the two trips, the price was higher than quoted when booking through the website. After calling
customer service, they got F C L S to send me new confirmations with the correct quotes.
F C L S ended up charging me for the wrong amount on both reservations.
Remember the luxury amenities mentioned in the rating above? On both trips I asked for water and both times the driver didn’t have any.
My 2 star rating is based on:
1. F C L S confirmed the wrong price for both trips
2. F C L S charged my credit card incorrectly for both trips
3. F C L S didn’t have the bottled water available for either trip as advertised
