not bad, but not great. They were able to see me pretty quickly on a weekday evening, which was nice, and the guy who cut my hair was nice enough, but the haircut was just OK. He obviously knew what he was doing, but it was a little too military style for me, and I’m not sure what he did with the top of it. Again, it wasn’t bad, just not worth going back to.

I love this barber shop. All 3 barbers are very nice and friendly. They all give good haircuts. My favorite barbershop in Astoria. There is never a lonf wait and you never get skipped waiting. I really enjoy the magazine collection they have and its a friendly atmosphere.

TL;DR: Wonderful experience, will definitely be back. You’ll find«your barber» here. When I moved to NYC, I left behind the best barber I’ve ever worked with. I’ve had more haircuts than most(one per week for five years while I was in the USMC) and I’ve run through more barbers than anyone should have to, just to give you an idea of how great he was. If you’re ever in Norwalk, OH, go to Main Street Barber Shop and Bob will get you taken care of. To say I was pensive when looking for my first haircut destination here is an understatement. I put it off for weeks, because every place I found had the Nightmare Review of a guy going in with long hair, asking for them not to touch the long stuff and just clean up the neck and ears, and walking out with a crew cut. I’ve been growing my hair out for too long to take that chance. Enter Eddie’s Barber Shop. It’s two stops away from my apartment. It’s $ 15 for a cut. It’s got 4.8 stars on Google. I have an interview tomorrow. I have to take the leap. I took the leap. A wonderful experience. Eddie was polite, asked me what I wanted, repeated it back to me and got to work. He is a great conversationalist and the pauses were never awkward(ask him about how Black Friday is a scam if you need something to talk about). He is a wizard with the clippers, not a single hair got tugged and no ears got poked! I had him trim up my beard with clippers as well and I could barely tell they were touching my face; no tugs or pulls here either. Eddie is seriously a master. He did everything I asked, and nothing I didn’t. He offered the inspection, and it was EXACTLY what I asked for. Upon leaving, I said I’d be back, we shook hands and he wished me luck at my interview. Eddie, you’re the man.

Eddie’s Barber Shop is one of the best shop’s you will find around! Eddie is a master and he can offer a great haircut at a very reasonable price. He does have his busy times, but definitely worth the wait. Best flat top around!

This is my Husband’s GO To Barbershop! He’s been going for almost 3 years, and they literally give him priority whenever he walks in! We usually stop by while we’re out running errands on a weekend. He is ALWAYS in & out in under 20 minutes. They are meticulous in remembering their clients, so there’s no need to explain what you want every time if you usually go for the same style! I don’t mind sitting in here while he gets a cut, because there’s a tv & the Russian guys are always more than nice to me! My husband says they’re flirting. Ha! The cut for him is only $ 12, so it’s a definite bargain. I highly recommend this small barber shop!

I gotta say, this place is pretty nice. I had my face shaved there, and it was freakin awesome. I had never done that before, it was like I was back in 1957. I also went in again, and actually had Eddie cut my hair. He did a great job and I totally like the new look. I will be going back to these guys from here on out. They are very friendly and professional!

This is my barber shop. They listen to what you want and give you exactly that. This sounds trivial, but many barbers miss the mark. Eddie, Eli and the other guy are all very nice and very Eastern European. I think it’s unisex but i’ve only ever seen guys in there. It’s quick, no thrills and cheap. Usually $ 12-$ 13. If you hate spending time and money on haircuts and have considered just giving yourself a haircut in the mirror, do yourself a favor and stop at Eddie’s.
