Crescent Physical Therapy

I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff at Crescent Therapy for doing a great job with treating my chronic neck pains! I had severe neck pains from working from home full time and got a referral from my GP to see this therapy clinic. They were quick, gave me the attention I was hoping for, and provided me with some good at-​home exercise tips to control and fix my pain. A word to the wise, if you can, always go in the AM before 9 am, as it will get packed right before noon. My sessions usually last about 1 — 1.5hrs and I was out the door and I never waited longer than 10 min. Thanks!

Crescent Physical Therapy is fantastic! Dr. Khan (who is brilliant) and his team, and I mean each one of them, the therapists and the staff are all absolutely fantastic, dedicated and invested in your recovery. The center is got the combination of the best equipment and a great team. I came in here after arthroscopy and was in severe pain with minimal mobility. I started to see improvement within the first few days of coming here and now after several weeks, am back to almost normal mobility and minimal pain: all thanks to the effort and dedication of this place. And the best part is the team knows how to motivate you and so makes recovery a faster process. I would recommend this place over any other!!! Thank you to each one of them, and I would name each of them as I’ve gotten to know most of them!:)

I never got to see what the hype was as I had to wait an hour to get a quick consult with the doctor! The place is small and dark, and the secretary kept telling me to wait 2 – 5 minutes. I was finally called in, only to be told I was the wrong patient they called? I was promised 2 more minutes but 7 minutes later, I could not take it and demanded my upfront pay returned. Not worth the trouble.

I’ve had physical therapy done in the past but nothing like this. Dr. Greg and his assistant G are simply amazing at what they do. Dr. G takes a whole body approach to healing it being based on eastern medicine I know that beyond that I don’t know much and prior to this I knew about it but I was skeptical after three sessions I am simply amazed at how much difference it has made my body. His approach not only affects your body physically and also mentally I cannot say enough good things about his approach except to say to go and experience it for yourself it will definitely change your opinion on how a doctor should treat a patient healing from an injury. I can’t recommend these guys enough like a said my whole life I’ve had issues with ankle and knee problems and have had a lot of physical therapy done but nothing that has ever come close to what Dr. G has done

I started Crescent PT about 6 week ago and I can’t believe the progress. I cold called a few PT offices in the neighborhood from a list my doctor gave me and was immediately impressed by the professional receptionist. Due to the fact that don’t like electro stimulation, I was searching for a PT that provides massage instead. I also needed to bee close to my home, and job. As I walked into the office I was welcomed with smiles and that to me says a lot!
During my 6 weeks of therapy I had three different therapists work with me (Mr. Khan, Ms. Zarna & Ms Rima) they are all VERY PROFESSIONAL, CARING AND THEY LISTEN!
The assistants are super nice and genuine. Mr. Khan is excellent, you will alway see him in the main room making sure everything runs smooth. What more can I say, my pain in my lower back region is GONE !!
All in all, I will recommend Crescent PT to all.

I have been attending PT at Crecent Physical Therapy after my Total Hip Replacement — I am very pleased with the PT who works with me. She was nothing short of kind, attentive, and also very knowlegable. She always made me feel like i was the only person she was working with .The excerises she gave me to do while some times painful alway resulted in me feeling better in the long run.

I’ve been going to Crescent PT for over a month now for whiplash injuries caused by a mva, as well as other mobility issues from my profession. Jeremy was my designated therapist, but all the assistants and therapists there are highly professional and welcoming. Jeremy really took care of me and was able to pinpoint all the injuries I had sustained, finding disproportions in areas even I was unaware of. I was unable to walk or even breathe properly for the past year and a half. There was a noticeable difference after just two sessions of therapy. The exercises they have you partake in are extremely effective in strengthening, allowing me to go about my routines and daily lifting tasks with ease. I have not felt this great in years. Highly highly recommend this clinic to anyone with kinks and kooks in their bodies. Go into this place with a mentality that you will get better, and you will.

Came in with an awful crick in my neck, couldn’t turn my head to the right at all, but Mr. Khan helped me tremendously, he out some heat and STIM on me before working on me, then worked my neck shoulders and even a bit of spinal work to loosen the area up. I left feeling much better with more range of movement in my neck. Mr. Khan is super friendly, easy to talk and makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years. I highly recommend!

MR. KHAN IS AN AMAZING PHYSICAL THERAPIST. He is a very jovial individual with a great bedside manner and a great personality. He goes out of his way to help you and he listens intently. He runs a great physical therapy practice and he knows his craft exceptionally well. He has helped my knees get better with the program he has put me on and i trust him 100%. His staff is also extremely friendly and always willing to help. I could not be more pleased with MR. KAHN and his staff. If you are looking for a great physical therapy place, then CRESCENT PHYSICAL THERAPY is the right place​.MR. KAHN is located in ASTORIA, but his practice, staff, caring nature, and expertise can rival the best physical therapy places in manhattan.

I have been going to physical therapy for years for a chronic condition and have never seen any real results, until I started here. The physical therapists are dedicated and friendly and worked hard to get the proper coverage under my insurance.

I started going to PT here for pain in my left shoulder and arm from an accident I had. When I first got there everything seemed very nice. The lobby was nice, people seemed nice and the place seemed clean. I sat down with the doctor and he did an evaluation of my injury. He was detailed and went over everything with me.
The first 2 weeks things were going pretty well. I was seeing some slight improvements. I was going there 3 days a week for an hour each session. PT is extremely time consuming and annoying; it gets old quickly. I was getting fed up and tired of going.
As soon I started feeling this way they randomly changed my doctor without any notice. He was on vacation and I understand that but I should have been notified about that before I made appointments. A different doctor came in the room with no knowledge of my injury or treatment. She started working on me and I don’t think she knew what she was doing. She may have made my injury worse. This whole week was officially a waste. I figured that my Doctor will be back next week and things will go back to normal.
The doctor did return from vacation but for some reason he stopped working on me. He was there and said nothing to me. The 2^nd doctor was working on me now and she just made things worse and worse. I was not happy about this. At this moment I started to realize more things I disliked about this place.
I realized that the place is pretty filthy. The carpets weren’t vacuumed. There was a cigarette butt stuck to the exercise bike the entire time I was going there. I would look at it and say «MARLBORO» to myself. The tables didn’t look very clean. The place is busy as hell and is way too small. When you are doing exercises you are standing directly on top of someone. The staff and assistants are not very pleasant. There was one girl with glasses and black hair that was very nice. The rest of them seemed stressed out, overworked and didn’t want to be there. The place had a weird and bad smell. Every time I was getting my shoulder worked on there would be terrible odors. The front bathroom was dirty and always smelled.
One thing I always noticed that was odd was the girls at the front desk were EXTREMELY aggressive in booking my next appointment. Upon arrival before I even got in to see the doctor, «SO MR EH UH AH-​MED, WHEN IS YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT? WE NEED TO BOOK ONE…»
#1 the name Emmett is very easy to pronounce. I don’t know why they couldn’t handle it. They always called me AHMED, EMED, AMIT. I don’t get it.
#2 I already had an appointment for the following day. At this point I was obviously fed up and didn’t want to go anymore. I wasn’t getting results and was not happy.
The PT was getting paid thru a No Fault Claim. I had a Medical Exam that would determine whether or not I would continue to get coverage. My last appointment the girl at the front desk says «MR. AHMED WE NEED TO LIKE OMG BOOK YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT! WHEN DO YOU WANT TO COME IN?!» I replied with I have a «Doctors appointment next week that will determine if I can come in but please do not book me. I don’t want to come back and I am done.» She was dumbfounded and didn’t know what to say.
This was on 10÷18÷13. Since that day they have called me 5 – 7 times a week, EVERY SINGLE DAY, Looking to book an appointment and leaving voicemails. They would call from different phone numbers to try and get me to answer to book an appointment.
I finally answered the phone call yesterday and told the girl at the front desk. «I TOLD YOU THAT DAY IN THE LOBBY I DON’T WANT TO COME BACK. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? STOP CALLING ME. DON’T YOU THINK IF I WANTED TO COME BACK I WOULD HAVE CALLED YOU? PLEASE STOP CALLING ME AND LEAVE ME ALONE.» She had nothing to say and hung up lol.
I would not recommend coming here unless you want to be harassed, get no results, waste your time and be in a dirty place.

I went to Crescent Physical Therapy one time recently for a knee injury. It was easy to get an appointment, and the front desk staff was polite and friendly. However, I was HIGHLY displeased with the overall service and atmosphere for the rest of my visit.
The treatment area was dark and had a skeevy feel to it. The carpeted floors were kind of gross, and I didn’t feel comfortable walking around barefoot when I was asked to do so.
The head of the center (Dr. Khan, I’m guessing?) was so RUDE to ALL of his staff, especially the females. I was horrified at the nasty and condescending manner in which he spoke to the therapists and secretaries. It was embarrassing to be around.
Furthermore, I was introduced to one physical therapist, who said she was going to be working with me. She made me feel like an idiot when I was in pain and kept saying, «No crying!» even though I wasn’t but was clearly in pain. After she performed one part of my treatment, she left the room, and three different therapists proceeded to come in the room at different times to do different treatments (massage, heating pads, etc.) However, they didn’t explain anything about what was going to happen, and they lacked empathy or compassion when I was obviously in pain and confused about what they wanted me to do. Several times, I was left sitting in the treatment room or standing in the middle of the equipment room with no idea of what I was supposed to do next.
I will NOT be returning here. The service was really crappy, the physical environment was shady, and it was a terrible experience overall.

At first I thought I needed a referral from a doctor to give to a physical therapist, but when I spoke to Dr. Khan about my shoulder issue and told him where my pain was, he told me everything that was causing the problem and that there’s no need to go to a Doctor for a referral. I would drive 20 minutes to Crescent Physical Therapy instead of walking down a few blocks to another physical therapist because of Dr. Khan’s knowledge. I would tell him how my shoulder would hurt when I would work out in the gym and he told me to take off a few weeks from working out. Then he would give me certain workouts I was able to do that did not impact my shoulder. After each visit to Dr. Khan, my shoulder would feel better and better. Overall, his service is great. Don’t have to wait for hours. My turn would come up in less than 10 minutes. You will get treated with full care. I also recommended Dr. Khan to a friend who had back pain. When he contacted Cresecent Physical Therapy, Dr. Khan was honest and informed him to get the problem diagnosed at a doctor because the back is a delicate part of the body with different muscles. It just showed his honesty and fairness towards patients. If you go to Crescent Physical Therapy, you don’t need to worry about a thing going wrong, just tell them where it hurts and they will be fully honest with you.

I am very thankful to Crescent Physical Therapy for literally getting me back on my feet again.

I saw Jeremy as my therapist for mostly all of my appointments here and he’s great. All of the employees who walk you through your exercises on the floor and attentive and encouraging. Dr. Kahn seems to keep a close eye on the way his office is run and that really shows.
I was recovering from a broken foot and sprained ankle and hit every milestone of my recovery in this office from going to to one crutch, to walking, being able to step correctly down stairs and finally walking normally again.
I’m very thankful to the entire staff and would highly recommend this office!

I feel better! Dr. Khan is kind and knowledgeable. I can’t believe all my pain has gone away — I feel like I different person! An added plus — The staff is great and always there to help. No complaints!
