So Jamuna has left and she was the star of this place. A treasure! She’s the best person I’ve ever had thread my eyebrows and I’ve tried so many places all over Manhattan and Queens. I have tried the other technicians here for threading and they don’t have the same attention to detail she does, so my rating automatically goes down. The ones I’ve had have been super fast and don’t get all the hair when I thread my lip, but it’s fine if you just need your eyebrows cleaned up, and you check their work and tell them what they’ve missed, if anything. For $ 4 it’s a steal, but if you have specific needs like I do — my eyebrows are so thin and I need them to be careful not to take out hairs that I’ve trying to grow out, make sure you communicate w/the technician.

For a while, this was my go to spot for all my threading needs. The reason why this place ever got great reviews is because of Jamuna. I believe this is the same Nepalese lady that Sandra S. below is referring to. She is hands down the reason this location thrived. I always knew I would get perfection with her. I mean, not a single hair to be seen perfect. And she knew how to shape them nicely without making them thin like I’ve found a lot of other places do. On top of that she is a total sweetheart. As of late, she has moved to Shade Bar on Ditmars. But that is not the sole reason why I’m giving this place 1 star. My last(and final) experience with Broadway Threading(before I found out Jamuna left) was awful. I walked in to find a couple people already waiting. No big deal. Came to find a few minutes later that the girl sitting next to me had already been waiting an hour. An HOUR? C’mon, this isn’t a doctor’s office. She got fed up and left but I figured if she had already waited an hour, surely they would be ready in another few minutes, right? Wrong. I was the next idiot who waited another 45. I noticed that a woman who typically works there(and threads, mind you) was getting her hair done for the night. She’d shout/whine out to the girl(in some other language) what sounded to be a question of «are you almost done yet» since those of us waiting were starting to get fed up ourselves. I just assumed the girl was helping another customer in the back. NOPE! She skipped out of the main bathroom all pleased with herself after she finished waxing her OWN eyebrows. And she didn’t even have the decency to apologize. Really??? Who does that?! Talk about selfish and unprofessional. The girl who was getting her hair done didn’t even say a peep to us before she pranced out the door. I told selfish/unprofessional girl I was in a rush because my car was sitting outside with an expired meter ticket, which was a huge mistake on my part because she took«rush» as an excuse to fuck up my eyebrows. I don’t know why I even bothered to tip her. She didn’t deserve it.(Note: she appeared to be a young girl with a short brown bob and glasses). They better just be glad I didn’t get a parking ticket. Stay as far away from this place as possible. Especially the chick with the glasses. She has no idea what she’s doing and clearly won’t get far in life with her attitude. Moral of the story, go find Jamuna at Shade Bar. You’ll be glad you did.

If i could give this place no stars i would. I came for a bikini wax the lady that serviced me didn’t use clean honey and also didn’t get too much hair off. This place never has customers and the prices are cheap but there’s reasoning behind it dont go !

Quick, painless threading. Technician was great. Not that crowded so you’re in and out fast. Just wish they had some music or a TV to create some ambiance.
