They blow and would not send a cab to our place! wow so unimpressed! and i hope their company shuts down and goes bankrupt! EWWWWW

Worst service I have ever received!!! It does not deserve any stars what so ever. I was told I could pay cash or card and the price was $ 35 which is really good in comparison to other services but let me tell I would have preferred to pay the extra bit more than having an absolutely rude service! Made an absolute scene because I did not have cash which I was told I could use either… So be careful with that. Just have cash only. The worse thing was the car was in such bad condition, driver could not even close any of the doors properly, had to keep slamming till they would. And after causing such scene he called me a bitch, after I had paid and was the one who was actually calm. Let’s just say worse service, and I have used plenty throughout the US and man, horrible!

I have used this company several times for rides to LaGuardia Airport. So far so good… They have the lowest rate I have found in the area and I have not had any problems yet. I’ve read the other reviews about awful customer service so I am very careful. I always pay cash with these guys. I also always ask them on the phone when scheduling to confirm the rate (despite having paid the same price numerous times). That’s really a good practice for any cab company as unfortunately they are not always reliable.
It’s always a black towncar. Drivers have been nice enough and help me with my suitcases.
It has always been $ 17 from my house to LGA but when I called for a taxi last time, they told me $ 19 on the phone. I am not sure if their rates went up or if they are trying to pull something. Because there have been times when the driver would ask what price I was quoted. I don’t trust these guys but haven’t had issues yet so I will continue to carefully use them.

Terrible customer service. I called to get a car and asked if they could accept credit card. They said yes and in fact when I used them before I used credit card because its a business expense.
After dropping me off he said cash only. When he called dispatch suddenly he was able to accept credit card but now it was a 20 dollar fee on top of my fare. He said he would drive me to an ATM to get cash, which I didn’t have the time to do.
So I used my own cash and then he drove off without giving a receipt.
The person at the office was extremely rude about this and said I just need to take it up with the manager when he comes in at 3. Then she hung up on me. Just terrible customer service.
As a frequent traveler, they just lost my business for good.

Scheduling– 3 stars. Just dial them and name your street and destination! Easy! Except the car does not show up at the reservation time but wayy earlier. I guess earlier is better than later, but still 40 mins earlier.
Price– 3 stars. You can get a quote by calling or filling out their online form. From my experience the price is lower than other taxi companies and comparable to what the price would be if you flagged a cab on the street.
Service– 2 stars. It was raining and I had 3 suitcases. The driver did not bother to walk over to help.
The car itself looks like a regular black sedan… no meter, no divider, or anything. So I was kind of paranoid about the credit card situation, and lo behold, the driver scowls when I pull out my credit card, and he says there’s an extra $ 3 charge! WTF? The cab fare itself was only 15 bucks. When I said that was not mentioned on the call or on the website and pulled out my phone to call the operator, the driver just swiped my card for $ 15 (+ tip). Sketch.
So Andrea Car Service is alright. I’d just use cash and be ready within the +/​-​30 min window they operate on.

Called for taxi service. Guy asked «When you want it?»… uh… NOW? And then he replies he doesn’t have any. Wow… What kind of car service is this???

boo! so i ordered a car from astoria to flushing and they told me it would cost $ 33. alright cool.
i call again to order the car from flushing to astoria (same locations) and they told me it would be $ 33 again… i call a little later and told them to come half an hour later… because my appointment was running late.
so my driver told me AFTER the fact (note this is the same exact driver) that it was now $ 43 because of the «wait.» yea right. so i didn’t tip him and he had it coming!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I had to arranged a car pick up for 4:30AM. I called the day before and was quoted $ 45 + Tolls & Tip. When the driver arrived he told me it started at $ 59 and he was charging me for my bags!
I explained the price I was quoted and he said that that was a mistake from the service and not his fault. I became sick of arguing and thought I would miss my flight. I told him I’s pay his fee but it had to be with a card as I only had so much cash. He refused and drove me to an ATM.
The trip cost about $ 80 and when I emailed their customer service they are refuse to rectify the situation.
Extortion before 5am in the morning!

I called for a car and the dispatcher told me it would be here in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, no car, so I called back to check and the guy said ok ok 2 minutes. 15 minutes AFTER that, still no car. I called back to cancel and the guy said «don’t ever fucking call back here again» and screamed at me. So unprofessional and frankly, scary.

I waited for 30 minutes, and Andrea Car Service stopped answering my calls after the 2^nd or 3^rd. WIth so many other car services around, there is no reason to use this one. I’ve had good experience with Hoyt Limo & Service.

Not much really to say about a car service. Most of the time I find that it comes down to the individual that actually gets sent to pick you up. I have had difficulty in the past getting these guys at the time I desired but it’s usually because I am calling just before I need them. They have been pretty good but the two pieces of useful information I feel are the following:
1. They store your number in their computer so you just tell them your number and they have your address (if you have used them before). This is useful so that language barriers don’t cause problems.
2. They call you when they are outside. This means that you don’t have to wait by the street or have a car outside your building honking.
Last time we actually got the worst car I’d ever gotten. We were going to the airport and the trunk didn’t open and one of the back doors didn’t open either. Ended up riding with the luggage in the front seat and on our laps. Not fun but it is NYC. No major complaints about other times that I have used them.

Woah — never ever use this service! I called a cab for my brother who was on his way to LGA for an international flight. The cab came on time, but on the way the driver demanded cash after I had been told that cards were fine over the phone. Then the cab driver said he’s going to pick up 2 more people because they, too, were going to LGA. This is not a shuttle! My brother made the driver take the new passengers’ bags out of the trunk. I have never in my life heard of such a thing happening. Sneaky and terrible!

I called this car service about two hours before I needed to be picked up for my flight and they told me it was not a problem.
The cab was clean and in good condition, they have a camera for your and the drivers safety, and they accept credit card. The lady who answered the phone and the driver were both friendly and from Sunnyside to JFK was only about $ 35.

I requested for a limo service coming in from LGA from a biz trip. I scheduled to be picked up in advance, Dan was very courteous and professional. Every time I called, somebody would promptly pick up. Very reasonable price, coming home to Princeton. One car service I called quoted $ 100 more than what this company charged. One thing that I did not like was we had to stop for gas on the way home. At 12am, I wish I would be driven home directly without any diversions. I wish that they would have been better prepared knowing that they have to go to the burbs. Over-​all I am very pleased. Car was clean, driver was nice and most importantly on time.

Wow, I was amazed at this company. I called to order a cab from my house to the airport, and the guy quoted me a pretty high price. I asked him a question about it to clarify, and the guy says «just go to the airport and pick up a cab there» and hangs up on me. I had literally just very politely asked a reasonable question, and he hung up on me. So I call back and say that I had just called and been disconnected and was trying to ask a question and before i even finished with the word «question» the guy calls me an asshole (I’m a female) and hangs up on me again. Literally, he said «you asshole». I called back again and they just put me directly on hold and never picked up. I can not believe these people — it is beyond me that they would act this way. PLEASE never use them!!!

I live in Astoria and I’ve used Andrea Car Service several times to go to LGA and JFK. I usually call a day ahead to reserve a car, and the cars always show up on time but usually ahead of schedule. You also get a phone call when the car is outside. The cars are clean, the drivers are courteous, and when you call to book a car, they tell you what the fare will be. I highly recommend them if you live in Astoria.

So I tried to use this company to book a cab from a queens location to LGA. After I told the man on the phone the address the indian man on the other end told me «that’s not in queens it’s in long island.» He then told me to verify the address and call back and promptly hung up on me. I did indeed verify the address, which was in queen as I knew before (just outside kew gardens). I called back and told him the exact address and he said «yeah I don’t know about that.» And hung up without explaination. I found this service to be extrememely and unnecessarily rude. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Gone Downhill. I’ve used this service for 13 years. I’ve had 3 bad experiences within a few months. I had one driver who tried to rip me off by charging me for a stop that I never made. Now, this is the worst. I had a driver who was falling asleep while I was in the car. I would have gotten out, but I was in the middle of nowhere. He was nodding every time we stopped at a light. I tried to make as much noise as possible so that he’d wake up. He was wearing dark sunglasses on a cloudy day, and his side mirror was covered so that I couldn’t see him. I have a feeling he does this a lot. I will never use them again!

So I hired these guys to take me on a tour of the city because I didn’t feel like dealing with the double decker bus tours and all that. I gotta say, it was a pleasure doing business with them. They charge $ 35/​hour plus 15% tip and tax so I dropped $ 100 for a two hour tour all over Manhattan in the back of a nice Town Car. The driver was friendly, patient and happy to stop and wait whenever I wanted. To get that 5^th star, I’d probably like to find some bottled waters in the backseat or maybe see the driver in a suit, a little less casual. But come on, that was a deal. We took three people on a private tour around town for 2 hours for $ 100. Where else can you find a deal like that?
Really this should be 5 stars but I just dont do that very often. Think about giving these guys a shot.

PREFACE:
Sometimes, my work requires that I be somewhere before the most-​extreme-​party-​going-​Yelpers have even gone to bed. That can mean getting up at 4am, and on such occasions, my job pays for my cabs. But sometimes, finding a cab at that hour can be hard, so I call these people the night before.
BODY:
Why Andrea? They are in my ‘hood. And because they come when they say the will. Actually, that’s not true, they come early. Usually 5 – 10 min early, when I am still trying to figure out what I am doing up at such an ungodly hour, and where is my left shoe? They call when they show up, so if you can’t see the street, you won’t be left wondering.
Also, you can schedule a pickup in advance, which is nice. And if they can’t get you a car, they’re going to tell you that and not leave you hanging. Without calling ahead, it can be anywhere from 15 – 30 min, depending on the time of day you call.
Their prices are average for a car service. Yes, that is more than a cab. From Astoria to anywhere in Manhattan is typically around $ 22-​$ 25 (always ask 1^st, or they can make up a price). A Yellow Cab from my apt to midtown west costs about the same. If I have to go further, then I use this car service and it winds up being cheaper than a yellow cab.
They use nice Town Cars which are usually in nice condition. The 4am drivers tend to know just enough English to get you where you are going. At other hours, the drivers are better.
I am taking one star off for a very important reason: My driver couldn’t find where I was going in the financial district. His GPS was wrong, and he couldn’t figure it out for himself. He made me 15 min late to work, and I can’t stand being late.
CONCLUSION:
If you live in Astoria and need a cab, you’ll likely find a yellow one that can be cheaper. Heck, a lot of the cabbies live here. But if you’re SOL on the cab front, give this place a try.
