History

Established in 2010.

iCracked was founded by AJ Forsythe and Anthony Martin from a Cal Poly State University dorm room. AJ, who had previously cracked 5 iPhone screens and taught himself to fix his own phone, recognized the need fellow students had for a fast, convenient way to get their iPhones repaired.

AJ and Anthony fixed their first iPhone in 2010 and quickly expanded to iPods, iPads and Samsung Galaxy. As it grew, iCracked began to enable entrepreneurial folks to become iTechs — certified by iCracked and using high-​quality iCracked parts — and build a business to fix devices whenever and wherever customers wanted.

After explosive growth, iCracked was accepted to startup school Y Combinator and moved to Silicon Valley. Today iCracked is the world’s largest on-​demand iOS device repair service, with over 3,500 iTechs in 11 countries fixing iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad mini, Galaxy S5, and Galaxy Note.
