We love Zoey’s. Hands down best ice cream I have ever had. Employee’s here are always friendly and patient while the kids try to decide which flavor to get.

Salted caramel will create an addict, their flavors run from classic to signature with simple buttered pecan, classic Oregon blackberry swirl or peanut butter and jelly… that’s strawberry jelly and no reason to ever eat the sandwich again when you can have it in its finest form surrounded by organic cream. Zoe ’ s delivers on quality, flavors and convenience, right in downtown Ashland across from Ashland Springs hotel.

I’m giving Zoey’s a two star review with the hope that management or ownership reads this. My wife and I enjoy eating lunch here, it’s a great place for lunch and needless to say in the summer we consume lots of ice cream from Zoey’s. Today at lunch I was watching a young woman taking clean silverware from a tray and wrapping it in a napkin(making a setup). She grabbed each fork by the tines and each knife by the sharp end. Not wearing gloves and between wrapping getting up and doing other chores around the store, including touching her face, mouth etc. I’ll still eat here but in the future will ask for«clean» silverware before I eat.

Yummy! All natural flavored, no artificial coloring… if you want real ice cream & some yummy coffee to keep warm with it, it’s a great place!

My son and I have gone here exactly three times now. I kept trying to go back because other people claimed the ice cream was good, and each time I tried a different flavor, it was bad. Just to be clear: I am a treats fanatic and I am quite picky about them. The ice cream at this place tastes like a freezer. It has that gross taste that the ice cream in your own freezer gets when its been in there too long. Yes they have a lot of selection, but does that matter when they all suck? My son will still eat it. Kids will like it, make no mistake. If you have a big group of them and can’t afford 3 dollar small scoops of the good stuff, then sure, take them here. They can’t really tell the difference, as long as its sweet tasting. However discerning palettes will notice. Other than the freezer taste, my other criticism is that the ice cream itself tastes bland. The flavors do not pop and the texture in your mouth is the opposite of rich. I think this is actually why it gets that freezer flavor so easily: it is not creamy enough and too full of water/ice. Yes, that’s it! It reminds me of ice cream if it were made with nonfat milk instead of luscious cream, lolz. Walk down the street to Mix for some freshly made ice cream. They may only have 10 choices instead of 50 or whatever and charge a little more, but they truly give a shit about what they are serving. Yogurt Hut is another solid option that is right around the corner.

The ice cream was delicious! Great selection of flavors and friendly staff. I liked the openness of the dining area as well. Portions were generous but prices a little high.

Best service ever! We split one of the Turkey Melt Croissants, which was an excellent mix of cheese, spice, and turkey. Then we followed this crispy dish with all-natural ice cream, Rogue Valley Pear, Summer Strawberry, and Oregon Bing Cherry. Their waffle cone was fresh and crispy. while the flavors were not only natural, but fresh. The taste was a superb blend of fresh fruit bits and ice cream. I highly recommend Zoey’s Café!

Stepped in with the family to cool down from the hot weather. A GREATFIND: This was actually the second place we checked for ice cream. Checked another nearby place and came to this one. Much more seating and a wide variety of flavors here! It also looks like it’s open late until midnight, so you can grab some dessert after a show. GREATSERVICE: The ladies at the counter were helpful in answering questions and offering us multiple flavors to try before we ordered. THEDESSERT: So many flavors here. I personally recommend the coconut crunch. It’s a must. Also tried the grasshopper, a mint ice cream with chocolate cookie crumbles(almost like Girl Scout Thin Mints). It was also pretty good, but the coconut crunch was just on another level. Another plus: The portion sizes are huge! I couldn’t finish a single(8 oz) by myself. Not sure if I’d try the gelato though. Someone in my party ordered it and it was already half melted by the time we sat down. Will definitely come back if I ever find myself visiting Ashland again.

Over the last several years we have enjoyed Zoey’s ice cream confections on numerous occasions. Its convenient location places it directly across from our hotel; the service has been very good with friendly servers, and the ice cream outstanding. Unfortunately, our last experience was truly unexceptional; marred by an employee who exhibited a surprising lack of honesty and customer service. I ordered a triple cup — the only way to sample three flavors which is already a challenge given the number of delicious options offered. I noted that the server grabbed a cup normally reserved for the doubles and indeed the exact same size as the one she used for my daughter who ordered a double. The sizes were plainly printed on the outside of the cups in ounces. I confirmed second employee that mine was indeed the double sized cup and that the triples definitely used the larger size cups which were standing next to the double cups on the back counter. When our counter girl rang up the bill and charged me for the triple I stated that she had only given me an amount equivalent to a double. She said that wasn’t true and so I then pointed out that the triple cups were much larger and plainly visible on the counter and that she had used the double cup. She said it didn’t matter as she had given me the amount of a triple. I then showed her the double she had given my daughter sat them side by side and said that they were clearly the same size. She rolled her eyes and said that I had gotten three flavors, I said that was true but the price list and the cups clearly state that there is a significant difference in the amount of product. She wasn’t having it and said that I had been given a triple and could pay for it or not. I paid for the triple and my daughter’s double took a quick picture of her and sat down to relate to others our unfortunate experience. It’s truly unfortunate when one employee so mares your experience of an otherwise fine establishment. We’ve had wonderful post play experiences at Zoey’s for a number of years and were so surprised to experience such callous dishonesty. There needs to be consequences for this type of behavior hopefully this review will impact the service for future patrons.

Friendly staff and amazing gelato. Good selection of flavors. My husband got a peanut butter and cookie dough shake. They’ll make a shake out of any 4 flavors they have. I got a scoop of the cookies and cream in a waffle bowl. Both were delicious.

The ice cream here is good! There’s a variety of flavors, and on the display, there are cute characters stuck next to flavors of which are favorites of people I’m guessing who work there. I tried the peach and pear — yes I really like fruit — and opted to go with the peach. The pear tasted like vanilla ice cream, which disappointed me. The peach had actual peach in it! I think some of it wasn’t as creamy as it could have been, but the general taste was good. The ice cream wasn’t too sweet, and it was pretty light. Yum! I got the smallest(junior cup), and it was the perfect amount. The menu didn’t include tax prices, and I thought Oregon didn’t have tax. It was interesting. Minimum credit charge is $ 3 though! I would recommend this place for a once-in-a-while visit, because while it is good, it is a bit pricey.

Here’s how to tell whether your life is really really in great shape: it’s when you can compare and contrast ICECREAM experiences. ICECREAM! How can that not qualify as «whoohoo-as-good-as-it-gets» by default? Certainly Zoey’s coffee ICECREAM and toasted almond ICECREAM(my two favorite flavors) were quite delicious and the scoops were bountiful. The ambience a little cluttered and crowded, perhaps, for 100% fulltilt ICECREAM enjoyment.(Talk about a first-world problem. Yes, thanks, my life is really in great shape.) I suppose they only suffer by comparison with my vivid ICECREAM memories of Tucker’s in Alameda, and the Espresso Milkshake served there. That would be 100% fulltilt, to my mind.

As a fitness nut, I had to be dragged bodily into Zoey’s by my enthusiastic pre-teen niece, and it was worth it in spades. It’s gelato, so that makes the oozing, gooey, chocolatey, drippy mess that is the Jamaican rum sugar cone a little less sinful, right? My butterscotch cappuccino crunch would be more civilized, I naively supposed. We sat in a corner booth and made a tremendous mess, our smeared faces and sticky hands a testament to Zoey’s unbridled goodness. Other more sensible customers stared as we dripped, sucked, and licked our way to gelato heaven. I am not ashamed.

We stopped at Zoey’s after a coworker of mine who used to live in the Ashland area recommended it. Since it’s been so long since I’ve had a milkshake, that is what I settled on, and I was not disappointed. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough shake, and two waters, totaling just under $ 10.00. The shake was very thick, and very delicious. Both girls who helped me were very friendly and had huge smiles plastered on their faces the entire time. They have a small but impressive case full of not only ice cream, but a good selection of gelatos too. If you’re in Ashland and looking for just a little sweetness to your day, I highly recommend Zoey’s.

We love this place, especially after we read the glowing Unilocal reviews and ate Zoey’s delicious, all-natural ice cream. It’s one of the best we’ve tasted. We would’ve given that experience 5⁄5 stars. Both Unilocal and Google(which lists it open until 12 a.m.) said Zoey’s would still be opened. When we got there before 6pm, we were shocked to find it closed. The worker inside just ignored us. Sorry to give that subsequent experience 0⁄0 stars. When you come off I-5 South to get to this place, you understand that you have to go a little out of your way to get to Zoey’s. We could’ve continued our journey home instead of wasting our time driving to Zoey’s based on faulty information from Unilocal and Google. Also consider taking your freeway sign down so that people seeing it won’t be disappointed at night when they find you closed. Zoey’s, please update your operating hours so that out-of-towners don’t waste their time driving there.

Zoey’s has my favorite ice cream flavor(Peanut Butter Cup) and it’s one of the best versions I’ve ever had. A single scoop is close to four dollars but the portion is huge. It’s crazy busy in the warm months; when I was here over Labor Day, the line was out the door. So it’s a shame that the place appears to be run by 16 year old girls. They had one poor chick scooping cones, whipping up milkshakes, assembling sundaes, AND running the cash register while the other three I could spot were milling around talking to each other. I was the fourth person in line and I waited twenty minutes to be served. However, it’s worth the wait for the best ice cream in Ashland.

You want to know one of the best things about this place? It’s open after the late shows get out from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival! It’s a tradition for my family to pick up ice cream sundaes on our walk back to the hotel and then enjoy them while lounging in our room. For me the food is average, but I go there for the ice cream. It’s marvelous! A nice selection of well made goodness that I’ll eat whether it’s hot or cold and raining cats and dogs.
