Well with trees falling down all over the state I felt I had to take down 4 major maple trees .I called Martin from S
tumpy’s, he gave me a reasonable price, gave me a date, 3÷30÷2016.
That day at 7.30am you could hear trucks coming up the street. At 1.00pm they were gone cleaning up everything just so. It’s amazing they got it done so fast, and I was happy and sad .Sad because a bunch of squirrels lost their home, also sad these trees that I knew for 55 years were gone. Happy because if anyone of them came down it would be over, these trees were old. From now on I will only use Stumpy’s

Very disappointed, James the sales manager was a piece of work. Refused to answer the phone to take my deposit, then cancel the job with no phone call or email. He tried to change my neighbors quote saying a tree was not included.
James the sales manager just doesn’t care about his customers. Not a trustworthy company.

Had several trees removed by very professional people from Stumpy Tree Service. They had all the right equipment and did the whole job in only hours. The price was very reasonable and I got other estimates but by far they were the best in MetroWest. No wonder they are booked, they do good work. I would recommend them to anyone, my neighbors emerged soliciting their business card for estimates themselves as they were even impressed by the care and prevention of damage to their nearby property. They take safety very seriously. Our estimate by Marc was so detailed it left little doubt of expectation. This was good because other estimates were vague and unspecific in detail allowing for unexpected expenses.

I had scheduled Stumpy’s to come and remove some trees leaning over my house, a dead tree and some junk trees near my power lines (which I had let grow too big). When I arrived home, all the work had been done, the larger hardwood pieces had been cut to 18″ lengths and left by my woodpile (as I had requested), and the yard was cleaner than it had been when I left that morning.
To say I was impressed would be to understate it. Their quote was very reasonable and the work (as always) was first class. I use Stumpy’s every couple of years and they’ve always done first class work at a reasonable price.

Simply put, Stumpy’s is great. We’ve been using them for about two years to slowly remove trees from an overpopulated yard. Their cost is moderate and lower than many competitors. At the same time, they are responsive, careful, and fun to work with!

Stumpy’s came back to our house a second time on Monday. Completely different crew from our first appointment back in July, but the same excellent results. The efficiency of their work is pretty amazing to watch.

I can only add to the praises of this company. Stumpy’s is truly wonderful. They have strong customer service, friendly employees, incredibly reasonable prices, and — most importantly — they do great work. We had a team of two men remove about two blocks worth of giant, ugly, overgrown hedges around our house. They did this quickly, efficiently, and at a fraction of the cost of other estimates we received. They trimmed a few of our large trees back from the house as well, which also look great. We will certainly use them again. Seriously, stop reading these reviews and contact them now.

I used Stumpy’s for the removal of two trees, one was quite large. Watching them come in with the huge crane and pick up this tree like a toy was awesome. The team then set about completely disassembling and chipping it all and they were out of here in no time. The most efficient operation I have seen. They might be one of the rare companies that breaks the old rule about good fast and cheap. Usually you can get two out of the three but they seem to offer it all. I had so much fun watching this, I joked about paying them to pull some healthy trees just for the entertainment.

Seriously recommend these guys! Before our project, we got multiple quotes for the tree removal and saw that they had the lowest quote. I must say they were very systematic in their work, for instance, they arranged their machines in position, made sure all safety precautions were taken and then began the work. Once the trees were cut, it was broken down (then and there). In fact, once everything was done and taken care of? They cleaned up the mess in the yard. Seriously, if you have trees that need removing, call them up.

Use these guys if you need any serious tree service and want the best price. I had 3 companies come in to do an estimate and they were actually the lowest price (and that made me skeptical — but boy was I wrong). I couldn’t have been happier with the result and speed at which they completed the job. We had them take down about 15 trees ranging from 50year old ash tree’s to 10 year old pine’s (and some that were right up against our house). The guys working (about 8 of them) seemed to be having a really fun time — which might seem strange to say but I think that means they do a better job. They were really nice to my little boy as well (5yrs old) who couldn’t have been more excited to see a giant boom crane lift a tree over our house. Nice to see a well run business.

This company is great. I wanted to have three trees taken down and had estimates from three companies. Stumpy’s was second lowest. I made arrangements with the lowest bidder but they never showed up. I called Stumpy’s and they showed up on the scheduled day and took all three trees down. They did a fantastic job cleaning up after the trees came down. They ground the stumps and leveled the ground. You can hardly tell they came in the yard and did any work. Highly recommended!

These guys are amazing! Their estimate was the lowest of the 3 we got. Dealings with the office were a breeze. The crew arrived 10 min early this morning to look at the job and plan their attack. They were friendly and enjoyed a lively greeting from my dog. They carefully positioned their many pieces of equipment to avoid harming my plantings. They made sure to keep the street clear for neighbors to get by. They removed 7 trees: 2 90-​ft pines very close to the house and 5 oaks and maples. I wish I didn’t have to go to work so I could’ve seen how they did it! They left the street perfectly clean and filled in all the spots where the stumps had been. You can hardly tell there were trees there. It was a pleasure to do business with Stumpy’s! (And our rabbits in the hutch out back are fine!)

We have a fenced-​in back yard and needed 8 large trees removed along the farthest end of the yard, not an easy task. Stumpy’s gave us our estimate immediately and was much lower than another estimate we received. One of the other tree companies didn’t feel they could even do it given the location of the trees and the difficulty in getting to them. Stumpy’s was on time and extremely professional. They worked much quicker than I expected. They had to bring these massive limbs over the house and made it look easy! They cleaned up as they went along and did very little damage to some plants that I thought were going to get crushed in the process.
The only part of the process I had a problem with has nothing to do with Stumpy’s. The officer that was hired to work the detail spent most of the time playing games on his phone, which was frustrating since we were paying him!
I would highly recommend Stumpy’s for any job, big or small! My neighbor got an estimate from Stumpy’s and went with a cheaper company and watching this other company remove a tree compared to watching Stumpy’s was like watching a comedy act! It was quite clear that this other company was far inferior to Stumpy“s!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience with Stumpy’s. They came highly recommended by a friend, and when Mark came to do the estimate, I knew we had the right guys to do the job. the price was good, too.
A crew of 3 came to do the work, led my Manny, who was superb… I happened to be home, and Manny checked with me along the way and after the job was done. The job was heavy pruning and shaping, including some monster branches. They got all the cut limbs removed without harming the lawn or our flower beds.
Cleanup was really good, too… they even swept up debris left in the street by the chipper machine.
So go with Stumpy’s…you’ll be glad you did!

Stumpy’s did a wonderful job, start-​to-​finish. My photos would look just like Erin’s below here. A huge 50′ pine tree flying through the air, and into the mulch truck within seconds. Precision work between two houses with a large crane, they moved their equipment quickly and efficiently onto the site, without blocking traffic on our very busy street for more than half a minute. They were in and out in 90 minutes, which included the taking down of a few extra limbs at my asking. Very reasonable estimate, no hassle scheduling, on-​time appearance, quick tidy work in a tight space, beautiful cleanup and the amazing aerial high-​wire circus put on by Mike, this job was executed flawlessly. It was a treat to watch! I highly recommend Stumpy’s Tree Service.

We had Stumpy’s out to remove several very large pine trees very close to the side of our house. Marc came out quickly to do the estimate and came in under any of the other companies that came out. They honored that estimate many months later, when we finally got around to scheduling the service.
They arranged for police detail since their truck would be blocking the street. They completed the work in a half day. When my husband asked them to do a quick estimate on some pruning in our backyard, they provided an estimate and did the work that same afternoon.
The trees are gone, the stumps were cut as close as possible to the ground, and they cleaned up well after themselves. We would definitely have them again in the future.
Oh, and Carly in the office is super helpful and friendly!

I heard that tree company offered good deal during winter as business was usually slow. Got a quote from Stumpy, which was recommended by a relative, to cut down a 50 – 60 feet pine tree. The price was quite reasonable especially when I saw the no. of men and the big boy trucks they put into the job.
They put plywood on the yard but still made a small ditch. No biggie.
Only complaint I had was the short notice I received between the time they called and they wanted to come.
But overall, I’m a satisfied with the job.

Great to deal with, affordable pricing and they work so quickly!
I will definitely be calling them again when I need tree work done.

Used Stumpy’s yesterday to cut down 3 trees. They did an estimate next day after my call, and showed up next morning after I confirmed my service request. By the way, there estimate was the most affordable and guys did there job and cleaned everything up within 90 minutes.
Definitely will use them again!

I have used Stumpy’s several times over the years. They are thoroughly professional, have never exceeded an estimate, and have twice come in under the estimate. The best recommendation that I can give, is that I am a repeat customer, who has never had the slightest issue with the quality of work provided by a Stumpy’s crew.
